STORYTIME!

This entire aranged marriage deal was bullshit. There was no reason for it! Virgil's Dad, the king of Transylvania, just took the crown Prince of Serendipity and said that the two were going to be married. It's bullshit! But... the guy is actually really cute and nice and Virgil finds him really attractive. Screw you dad for finding a decent boy! He's having a hard time fighting off the fact that his father was right! It's stupid!

It was a beauitful day outside. The birds are singing and the flowers are blooming. Well, as much as they can in the dreary kingdom of Transylvania. The trees were all evergreen and spruce. They were all dark and very tall, losing their leaves a month early. The flowers are all far too tall and of dark colors, trying to soak up all the light they can get. It was beautiful regardless. Virgil always liked the darker tones, even though his betrothed Prefers pastels to any other kind of aesthetic.

A small black cat curled in Virgil's lap as he sat with the Prince of Serendipity. They were together outside the battle in the gardens. They had went to Serendipity for a week's time, and now it was Transylvania's turn to show off what it had to Patton. They had to decide where they would live IF they got married. Virgil insists that there is an If but Patton and Virgil both know there isn't an If. Virgil just wants to prove to his Dad that he doesn't know the best for every situation. The two happily held hands, watching the sun dimly shimmer over the bleak kingdom.

"You know, we should probably go to Serendipity. I don't think all the darkness would be good for you, Pat."

"Ha ha, yeah. I'm not really a fan of darkness and I get really really depressed whenever I don't see sunshine in a while. Plus I am very close with my family and I wouldn't want to be away from them. But what about you? I know you like this place a lot and the loads of people around makes you kind of uncomfortable."

There was a chilling breeze and Patton shivered. Serendipity was far warmer than this. Patton was still getting accommodated to the chilliness of this kingdom. It was like spring versus Autumn. Virgil never did this for everyone, but he unzipped his favorite hoodie and draped it over his shoulders to keep him warm. He actually genuinely cared for Patton. He loved Patton. There was no falsehood in that. Patton flashed him a smile that could brighten up the sun and make everything warmer if he were magic.

"Don't want you catching a cold now do we?"

"Ha Ha, Thanks Love. You're amazing."

Patton reached his hand across to brush against Virgil's pale cheek. Virgil had a strong jawline and square face. He has uncharacteristically broad shoulders but his cute tummy chub rounds it out. He is maybe five foot six, Patton is five foot two. Patton had tanned skin and freckles littering all over his skin and glasses that fall off his face. He was made to wear the colors yellow and baby blue. Patton looked at Virgil's lips that he carefully painted dark purple. Both of them smiled. Both of them knew exactly what was happening.

"Can I-"

"Yes."

Patton stretched his posture to reach Virgil's lips. It was so adorable. Virgil craned his neck down a little bit to give his Smol man a little bit of help. Patton was grateful and boom they're kissing now. The two were happy. The two were in love. It was like they were soulmates. They're just meant to be. Their hands entertained and Virgil's left hand went through Patton's hair. Patton did say he liked the feeling of having his hair brushed with fingers. Virgil just wanted to make his love happy.

Meanwhile the King and Queen of Transylvania were watching from their tower. Ever since Virgil said he was gay, his father instantly went from gathering lady suitors to finding the male suitors in the area. Patton was the third man he had found and the first person he had ever found that made his son happy. He never outright said they were suitors to Virgil, but the royal couple alwahs hadn't a suspicion that Virgil was aware of everything.

The King watched adoringly out the window as his wife danced with herself in the room. This room happened to be Virgil's art room. He stuck things he's sewn and crochet before and the walls were all painted and there were canvases strung everywhere. The Queen still managed to dance around everything, humming to herself. The king sighed and turned to see his wife. He was proud of himself. He finally did a good job for his son, even if he wants to move away to Serendipity with him.

"You did a wonderful job, honey. Don't be anxious."

He didn't even need to say a word and his wife already understood. She twirled around and gracefully stood before him, the amethyst necklace she refused to take off sparkling around ber neck. She held her hands up, waiting for her husband to mimick the same action. She always does this with him to calm him down. He matched his palms with hers, his fingers slightly larger than hers. He smiled weakly, trying to banish the insecurities in his mind.

Meanwhile, outside, the two princes had finished with their moment. Patton had purple on his lips, but he didn't care. Virgil just brushed through Patton's hair lovingly, smiling wider than he ever has before. Patton leaned on him, humming a song. Patton had decided that he wanted to do more than just hum the song, so he began to sing a lovely song. Just for Virgil.

"🎶Nothing is holding you back now. No one can push you around. What do you wanna do? You're the master of you. And isn't the thought enough to lift you off of the ground? Nothing is holding me back now. No one can push me around. What do I wanna do? I'm the master of me. And isn't the thought enough to lift me off of the ground? We could be independent together, Independent together, we can fly! Independent together, Independent together, Independent together, you and I~🎶"

"That's a beauitful song, Patton."

"I know! My little siblings Talyn and Adri came up with it after they met you. They said you seemed like the real independent lone wolf kind of type so they made this. They both asked me if I could sing it to you sometime while I'm here and tell you that they wrote it, together."

"That's really nice of them. I'll be sure to thank them when we both go home."

Patton froze, replaying that sentence again and again and again in his head. Both go home? Together? That's a dream come true!

"Yeah, we can go home."
