We changed my Royality prompt lol. This is the new one from Pengi11 and I's prompt swap.

STORYTIME!

Patton was panicking. This child in front of him was crying for Patty when Patty was gone. Patton was so happy to finally start his first injection of testosterone this weekend and go to school his first day as a boy, but he didn't expect for one of the children he worked with for his childcare elective would start crying because of it. The kid, Trevor, didn't believe that Patton was still Patty. He called him an imposter and a phony, which really hurt his dysphoria and heart. What does he do? Now Patton wants to cry.

"Trevor I swear I'm still me, I'm just a boy now. Please let me bring you to your mama's classroom."

"NO NO NO NO NO!!! ONLY PATTY TAKES ME TO MAMA'S CLASSROOM AFTER SCHOOL AND PLAYS WITH ME!! I WANT PATTY, WHERE IS PATTY YOU MEANIE!!! I WANT PATTY!!!"

Trevor was having a meltdown and Patton was oh so close to having one himself. Patton ran his hands through his now cut short hair and the teas swelled up in his eyes. What does he do what does he do what does he do?! Patton sat down on the floor in front of Trevor, trying to reach out to him, but Trevor shoved him away and kept wailing. Patton wanted to quit. He wanted to go get help but there was no one he could even ask for help.

But then someone did come to the rescue in the middle of the school cafeteria after all busses have been dismissed. Who would even still be here? Another kid in the eighth grade came running up to him wearing some sort of prince costume. Oh yeah, the theater club had rehearsals after school today. He noticed Patton fighting tears. Patton didn't know this boy, but he instantly bent down next to Trevor and saved the day.

"Hey friend, what's going on? Is there anything I can help you with? You were screaming pretty loud and I really want to help you."

Trevor sniffled, looking up at the boy. He wiped his eyes and quieted down. Thank goodness. He stopped crying. Patton was so thankful, but he was still very hurt on the inside. He had no right to be hurt. Trevor is just a little kid, you can't  blame him. He doesn't know any better.

"This stranger says he's Patty, but Patty is a girl! Patty's supposed to take me to Mama and play games with me after school."

The boy looked back over his shoulder to see Patton shaking his head. Patton lifted his wrist a little bit to show the guy his little patch on his arm from the injection and his Trans Pride bracelet he wore. The guy instsntly understood. He looked back at Trevor and sat down cross cross applesauce rather than sitting on his knees. Patton sat up and relaxed a little bit. Maybe there was so hope after all?

"I'm sorry about that, kid. But sometimes people change rapidly. Patty changed a lot over the weekend. Patty became a boy and he is very happy now. Don't you want Patty to be happy?"

"Well, yeah, but-"

"I'm sorry but there's nothing else to say. Patty's a boy and probably uses a different name now. If you really love him and want to be his friend you will use that name. Like, my name is Roman. You wouldn't call me Ramona because my name is Roman. So whatever name he wants to be called is who he is. It's hard to understand, I know, but it's something we gotta respect. Is that okay?"

"Uh... okay. So Patton is really Patty? And He's a boy?"

"Yes! Exactly!"

Patton was completely in awe, his mouth slightly agape as Trevor finally understood what was going on. Trevor looked apologetically at Patton. Patton finally smiled, wiping the water from underneath his glasses with the back of his hand. The boy, apparently named Roman, also looked back over at him. He jumped up to a standings position, walking up to him and offering a hand. He was being a true Prince, wasn't he? Patton prayed that he wasn't just acting like one.

Patton was hoisted back up to his feet and Trevor ran up to hug his legs, not even bothering to speak to say he was sorry. Patton didn't mind. He smiled through it and placed his hand on top of his head, ruffling his hair affectionately. He was still feeling very dysphoric, but he can hide it for now. He was feeling so much better than he was initially thanks to Roman. Speaking of Roman, he deserves a thanks.

"Thank you so much Roman."

"Of course, anything for such a handsome guy as yourself~"

Roman grabbed his hand and bent down to his knee, kissing his knuckles. Patton felt his face flush hot pink and then a teacher began screaming for Roman. He jumped back up and waved while running back to the stage in the center of the cafeteria. Patton looked back at Trevor, who was now holding his other hand protectively. He smiled.

"Come on, let's go see your mama Trevor, I'm sure she is missing you."

Bonus Ending

Trevor's mama left quickly, so instead of calling his mom to come amd get him he decided to go back to the cafeteria to go see if the theater kids were still on the stage. Sure enough: They were. Patton sat down on the floor and watched them perform and have fun, smiling along with them as if he was in their moment with them. His eyes were on Roman the entire time. The teacher was gone off somewhere.

"I still don't get why Roman gets to be the main character! This is a heterosexual fairy tale and he is the gayest person in the entire world."

"Hey, as long as he can act straight he's fine."

A boy who was a background character began complaining about Roman being the prince while the female lead rolled her eyes, calling him out on his bullcrap. Patton laughed a little bit, covering his mouth and watching this. That's funny. Surely that guy isn't serious, right? Roman shouldn't be taken out of the role because his sexuality is different than the character's. He's probably just salty.  That's when Roman walked out from backstage doing something to join in this conversation.

"Oh shut up Jackson you just jealous that I got the lead role and you didn't. Besides, Casey is a Lesbian. She wouldn't want to kiss you anyways."

Everyone went wild from Roman's sick burn and then he met eyes with Patton. Roman was the first person to notice that Patton was there. He jumped off the stage with a perfect landing. Patton stood up and smiled. Roman was also grinning too.

"You're still here."

"I wanted to see you."

It was so weird. What was even this moment? What even was this bonus ending? It's just the author struggling to get over the word count goal that she is trying her best to get to. The sick roast died down and then there was laughter. Casey, the lead lesbian princess, decided to call Roman out.

"Get a roooom."

That's when the teacher came out to yell at them again.
