last week was rough really rough and me and Maddie still haven't really spoke since the competition. which is mad because we're sisters we sleep in the same room but she hurt me.
i'm mad at her

we arrive at the studio and head into the dancers den i take off my street clothes and i slip on my half soles and i sit beside Chloe

Kira and Kalani walk into the dancers den

"hi Kalani!" Kenzie says

"hello." mom says when Kira comes in

"so Kira did Abby ask you to

join us this week after the competition." Holly asks

"yup." Kira says

"are you here.." Jill says

"for how long?" mom finishes

"what did Abby say come and stay forever?" Jill asks

"it's kinda up in the air" Kira says

"girls let's go" Abby then calls for us

we all then head into studio a and i stand beside Chloe and Nia

"i told everybody you were warned the face of the Abby Lee Dance Company is changing and Kalani you're the face i wanted here" Abby says

"moving on to the pyramid."

"Brooke and Paige are no longer members of the Abby Lee Dance Company i didn't plan replacing Brooke and Paige their mother did that."

i bite my lip

i cannot believe it's officially over for them

Brooke was like my older sister

and Paige was my best friend i don't wanna dance without them

"and next we have Nia, Nia you made a mistake in the group routine."

"and next Chloe, when you do duets with Maddie or Kayla you usually win."

"Kendall, only had a group dance to do kept your mouth shut Jill didn't cause any trouble."

"and next Mackenzie, hung in there did the group routine you weren't at the open call audition there were alot of good little kids very talented better watch out."

"and next we have Kayla, you were a little off in the group routine don't ever let it happen again."

i nod

"and next Maddie, Maddie another successful competition you stood out in the group routine it was all good."

"and on top of the pyramid our newest member Kalani."

we all clap for Kalani

"welcome to the Abby Lee Dance Company that's the way to do it show up and win."

"alrighty now we are going to woodbridge Virginia, and we will be attending ferice national dance competition we have a group number to do everybody is in the group routine."

"Holly."

"yes?" Holly asks

"you're getting a little bit of an award." Abby says

"i am?" Holly says

"you kinda jumped in and took over while everybody else was on their butts and did nothing, so Nia you will be performing a solo this week." Abby says

we all clap for Nia and i give her a side hug

"i also have a solo for Kayla, this is not an award for your performance in that group routine last week it's an award for your first overall solo at NUVO."

i nod

"since the duet did so well last week we're going to have two more duets, Chloe you will be performing a duet along side Maddie again."

i try not to make a face and i clap for them

i wish i had a duet with Chloe

"Kayla get the look of your face, you aren't always going to get a duet with your friend." Abby says

i bite my lip

"Kalani you will be performing a duet with Kendall."

we clap for Kalani and Kendall

"Kendall you better keep up"

"alright before i dismiss you all, since Mackenzie is going to be travelling to Los Angelous California to record two songs so we're going to be working on them all week long, alright so moms you are dismissed everybody else we are going to spread apart and warm up."

we learn the group routine and it's musical theatre and i really love the acting in it

we get put in this pyramid thing for a section and Kenzies in the middle

then Maddie on her right then i'm on Kenzie left

then Kendall's on my left end Nias on Maddies right then Chloe and Kalani are at the back

"alright that's all we have today we have to go thank you so much." Abby says

we leave and head to the dancers den

i head into my private with David and we start on learning new steps

"okay it's looking good we'll work more on it tomorrow." David says

i nod and i get dismissed 

|Two Days To Competition|
while the duets rehearse Abby has David learning me my solo

it's a lyrical solo entitled Older
it's to the song Older by Sasha Alex Sloan

it's a bit closer to home because it's about a divorce and it mentions their parents fighting so i have a little raw emotion to the solo so i think it's going to be good

"really hear the lyrics like bring out your own emotions in this solo okay?" David says

"yes." i nod

"alright you look amazing." David says and gives me a quick hug before i get dismissed

"straighten this diagonal out." Abby calls out

i do my turn section and i give a little wink

"let me see this." Abby says

we go from the top of the routine and i really like it

i think it's one of my favourite solos

"tighter." Abby calls out

i finish on the floor in my ending pose

"alrighty you're good you're dismissed." Abby says

"thank you." i say as i leave studio A

|Competition Day§
we arrive at the competition and we head for the dressing room

we set up our makeup tables and i start my makeup for the group

"Holly you okay." mom asks as she finishes my bun

"just hard because of this fabric there's so much of it." Holly says

i get into my costume and then mom sews my clip in

Kaylas solo costume with a rhinestone clip:

i stick my half soals on and i stretch

"is there just two solos and two duets or are there any extra dances today that we don't know about yet like like last week." Christi says

Abby shrugs

we start to head backstage i jump on Chloes back and she gives me a piggyback all the way to the wings

"you're so nice to me." i say

"i know i am." Chloe laughs and she puts me down

Kalani and Kendall are up first and they enter the stage the prop is cute and the music is cute but i think Maddie and Chloe have a better chance

they finish the duet and they exit the stage

Chloe and Maddie are up next and i give Chloe a hug before they enter

they start their duet and it's a really nice duet

i think they are nailing it they finish the duet and they exit the stage

i go round and i give Chloe a hug then i give Maddie a hug

"i'm sorry" i whisper

"me too." Maddie whispers

"i was like so nervous." Maddie says to Chloe

Chloe just stands there

"what?" Maddie asks

"nothing." Chloe says

"it was good though." Maddie says

"yeah." Chloe says

i walk over to Kendall because that's some tension i don't need to be apart of

Nias solo is up and she enters the stage she starts her solo and it's really nice but her headpiece slipt off but i can't even go over to her because i'm next

"good luck." Chloe hugs me

"welcome Kayla to the stage with Older." the announcer says

i enter the stage and my music starts and i really make sure this is good because it feels like this song is describing a part of my life

i make sure my emotion is so good and that every turn leap and kick is clean
i finish my solo and i see my mom crying
i exit the stage and Maddie runs over and hugs me
and i start to cry

"what's wrong that was the best solo i've ever seen you do." Maddie says

"nothings wrong it just felt good." i say and i wipe my eyes

we enter the dressing room and i run over to my mom who hugs me and then gives Maddie a hug

i start getting ready for the group while Abby talks about Kenzie about her music

group costume:

we go over the group dance

then we head backstage

"this is number 67 Yum Yum." the announcer says

we all enter the stage and we start the group dance

i make sure to act and really give the theatre vibe

we finish the group number and we exit the stage

"getting to our advance junior in fourth place that goes to 15 where the light gets in." the announcer says

that's a a duet.. i'm a little confused

"in third place we have a tie for second place that goes to number 22 Confessions and number 47 the moment."

"our second place goes to act number 30 Older"
i get up slowly and i get my award

i'm so confused

"and our first place finisher is Yum Yum"

i beam and the girls come up and get their award

we take a bow and we head to the dressing room

and we come in and Abby cheers

"you beat the other numbers!" Abby says

we all hug Abby

"huh did you understand those scores?" Abby asks

"kind of towards the end" Kalani says

"the highest scoring number of the entire day was from the Abby Lee Dance Company" Abby says

we all cheer

"and that's what matters but enough chit chat Kalani you really shined in the group routine" Abby says

"does that mean i'm staying another week?" Kalani asks

"yes you are staying another week are you happy about that?" Abby says and hugs Kalani

"yeah" Kalani smiles

then Abby calls Kira over and i start getting my headpiece out

"just so all the moms know what happened, Kelly was arrested that's the truth so if you miss someone like that you might wanna think about going cause i saw a whole bunch of kids in New York City that wanna be on this team." Abby says

we then get changed and we pack up to go home...

it was a different week it's all chaos now
