we drive to the studio and the car ride is different i think it's because we only have like three weeks left..

we get to the studio and the girls and moms are standing outside

"we have not had a good pyramid in weeks where Abby was on time, showed up, gave out the dances" Jill says

"so is anybody else quitting this week?" Ashlee asks

"no?" Jess says

"|wether Abby admits it or not i think hearing that Maddie, Kayla and Mackenzie are leaving affected her" Ashlee says

we then get our bags and walk into the studio

"last week great number The Huntsman Winters War it was big it was epic it was fabulous, it was second overall
highscore ..second, what did we do the week before that? we didn't win" Abby says

"no, we didn't even place" mom says

"maybe it's just our time girls if you won every single competition you don't need to work as hard i think you can do better" Abby says

i bite my lip

"at the bottom of the pyramid we have JoJo."

"i've literally been on the bottom like every week" JoJo says

"i just feel that you were a bit distracted" Abby says

"she did the group dance she did good it was like a good week for her." Jess says

"well then we'll move her" Abby says and she moves JoJos headshot to the top

we all cheer for JoJo

"i like that!" JoJo says

"next we have Brynn" Abby says

"i didn't have anything last week" Brynn says

"right there we go see" Abby says

"next we have Mackenzie, i've been raising you for years now don't cry don't cry don't be a crybaby but there comes that time when you're playing a role and you need to dig down deep and remember something that made you sad that brought you to tears"

"and then we have Nia, i definitely saw the emotion in you you're a strong girl but i saw you become frail it was great i thought you did a great job"

"and Kendall, Maddie next we have Kalani, Maddie and Kalani congratulations you were our big winners i saw the intensity you were great so we go to the second place Maddie and Kendall i was on the edge of my seat i saw what a duet should be the number was great"

"and next we have Kayla, you had a solo and you had to portray a queen that got beheaded..Anne Boleyn and i thought you absolutely nailed it on the money and you won"

i smile

"alright this weekend we are travelling to Selceumento California to attend Expressions Dance Competition" Abby says
"JoJo you'll be doing a solo this week it's going to be hip hop"

"i love you!" JoJo says

"Million Dollar Baby" Abby says

"that's my girl!" JoJo says and high fives Abby

"Brynn you'll be doing a solo it's also hip hop and the name if your routine is Freak" Abby says

"my last solo for this week goes to Mackenzie"

we cheer for Kenzie

"yay Mackenz! hip hop?" mom asks

"actually you are doing hoedown showdown a gymnastic routine it's what you do" Abby says

"Mackenzies amazing at hip hop" mom says

"you should let all three do hip hop" Jill says

"please! please! i do gymnastics every single time" Kenzie says

"okay so then you're not gonna do a solo that's what's gonna happen" Abby says

i sigh this isn't fair on Kenzie

"Kenzies only here for a few more weeks she's never done a hip hop solo she wants to do a hip hop solo i mean it's not like she's going to be able to have multiple opportunities after this season to do a hip hop solo" Holly says

"you know what do whatever you want." Abby says

"no Mackenzie" mom starts

"no it's fine i have so much work to do the group routine is Broken Dreams" Abby says and she walks out

"oh my god!" mom says

"all i asked for i said can i please do another style" Kenzie says

"Kenzie i know don't worry we won't be here much longer" mom says

"you know fine rightly if me or Maddie asked she'd be like that's fine but it's Kenzie so she won't do it" i say

"we almost had a normal pyramid without someone storming out almost." Holly says

|Group Rehearsals|
Gia comes in to help us with the group

"did she tell you anything about the group? because i do have that music" Gia says

"not really" Nia says

"okay it's called Boulevard Of Broken Dreams so that's really all she told me so spread out" Gia says

we learn the group routine and it's our classic contemporary routine

"Kenzie you should not be in a straight line Mackenzie you should be on the outside" Gia calls out

we go from the top for the last time

|Two Days To Competition|
we start stretching and Abby still isn't here

"is she that mad that a eleven year old asked her for a hip hop solo?" i ask

"apparently." Kalani says
"she's crazy" JoJo says

Gia brings the moms in to go through the routines

"so Brynn, JoJo and Mackenzie are all doing hip hop jazz funk solos this week but i think this is the first time we're having three soloists the same age and the same style going head to head we never have that" Gia says

"Mackenzie and Brynn haven't even started right? what are they exactly?" Ashlee asks

"Brynns solo is called freak like someone who's just over the top and will do anything onstage to get the attention and the fame" Guy says

"Kenzies solo is called Bully she's like the bad girl, she's confident she thinks she's better than everyone else" Rumer says

"what was JoJos? i missed it" Jill asks

"JoJos doing Million Dollar Baby she's really like tough female body boxer kills the game she's gonna knock the audience out" Guy says

|One Day To Competition|
we get to the studio and Abby still isn't here..

Abby then walks in but she isn't ready as usual

"i wanna see the group let's go" Abby says

we go over the group from the top

and Abby calls it a mess and that we all suck and it's so motivational

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competitions and there's so many people

i wave as i walk by and we head to our dressing room

"moms better have my money!" i hear Abby say i turn around in my chair and my mouth gapes open

"moms better have my money! Swaggy Lee is in da house!"

"what are you doing?" JoJo asks

"get off my back!" Abby says

i look to Maddie and we both look down to not laugh

"my people said it was hip hop week..okay" Abby says

"so Abby i'm trying to figure out are you inspired by our soloists or are you making fun of the moms for wanting hip hop?" Holly asks

"i think she's making fun of us actually" Holly adds

"whAat?" Abby says

"shes lost it" i whisper

we head backstage for the solos

and Abby does our handshake with us

"oh i forgot that part" Abby says

we all laugh

then Abby goes to the audience

JoJo enters for her solo

and i really like her solo she's nailing it

JoJo finishes her solo and exits the stage

Brynn enters for her solo next

and this solo feels more like hip hop

than JoJos but Brynns nailing it

Brynn finishes her solos and exits the stage

"so this could be your last solo make it count you are ana amazing hip hopper so show them that..i love you" i say to Kenzie and i give her a hug

Kenzie enters for her solo and her costume is my favourite

her music starts and she starts her routine

she is absolutely killing this routine i am obsessed

Kenzie finishes her routine and exits the stage

i give her a high five

we head back to the dressing room and we get ready for the group routine

group costume:

"Miss Abby what happened to your outfit?" Maddie asks

"i'm really sad it's gone" Kalani says

we go backstage for the group routine  

"alright ladies and gentlemen welcome next Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" the announcer says

we enter the stage and our music starts and we start the routine

i make sure my emotion and technique is amazing because we only have a few competitions left

i do the final bit off to the side and we finish the number

for solos

JoJo got fifth

Brynn got fourth

And Kenzie first!

i cheer for Kenzie and i give her a hug when she sits back down

"now we're going to move into our teen small group" the announcer says

"second place goes to entry number 37 Superhero's"

"and your highest scoring teen small group goes to entry number 38 Boulevard Of Broken Dreams"

we cheer and we get our award

i'm so happy we won!

we head back to the dressing room and mom hugs Kenzie

"hey congratulations! so the group it was great i thought you were all fabulous, Mackenzie i wanted more technique in there or more gymnastics tricks than just body movement alright" Abby says

"it was hip hop she won with hip hop give it to her" Jill says

i sigh and we pack up and we leave
