we had a couple months break,

and i've been working very hard

also, me, Maddie and Kenzie went to L.A to perform on Abbys Ultimate Dance Competition and it was a great experience

|Pyramid|
"come on let's move it!" Abby says as we walk into studio A

"so did you miss me?" Abby asks

"yes" we all say

"really?" Abby says

"yes" we all say again

"alright i've missed all of my students however the moms not so much, so while you guys were in the studio well some of you were in the studio practising learning training i was doing Abby's ultimate dance competition, all of you had the opportunity to come and see me in L.A. Maddie and Kayla came out you guys worked with the kids and performed and Maddie performed a new solo while Kayla did her solo Dandelions.. did you guys have a good time?" Abby says

"yes" we both smile

"i'm anxious to get started i wanna see what you've all learned and i've checked the rule books i know who's been  in class and i know who hasn't been in class, let's go through the pyramid." Abby says

"we can all remember back then Brooke, Brooke the faculty here didn't see to much of you while i was away."
"i was recording a CD so i was gone a week or two" Brooke says

"Paige, do you feel that you've improved?" Abby asks

"yeah i think my turns have been getting better because we've had normal classes so that i've been able to work on them." Paige says

"and next we have Kendall, Kendall do you think you've been improving?" Abby asks

"yes i have a private with James every week and he works on my turns and says that they are getting much better." Kendall says

"and Nia, what about you?" Abby asks

"i've been taking four extra classes every single week." Nia says

"i think that's great good for you glad to hear that" Abby says

"moving on we have Mackenzie, Mackenzie you didn't win you let Asia beat you it's this.. and it's that confidence you let your face go blank are you cute? yes but you're getting a little to old for cute"

"moving up we have Kayla."

i smile

"i wanna ask how you feel you've been doing from the week you forgot your solo."

"i think i've gained confidence and i think doing a solo in L.A. really helped with that and then i've been taking extra privates with David and Emily which as helped with my turns and my technique more." i say

"good i'm very glad to hear and i can see that improvement and i'm excited to see you use that in your solos." Abby says

"and next Chloe, you had a great performance went out onstage you were beautiful your mom was beaming and they announced you as the winner the scores were not right you did not win you were second did you dance beautifully? yes but you have to work on your technique"

"and next we have Asia, now Asia is not here Asia will be back in pyramid next week."

"and on top of the pyramid we have Maddie, congratulations Maddie you a outstanding performance and when they announced Chloe as the winner you didn't even flinch you were thrilled for your classmate."

"this week we will be travelling to cues New York the competition is intensity dance now this week's assignments, Maddie you will be doing a tap solo"

we clap for Maddie

"Mackenzie you will also be doing a solo this week, you will not be performing with the group you will be doing a straight acrobatic gymnastics routine this is your last shot before Asia gets back"

"i have one more solo to give out...and due to what happened last time that solo will go to Chloe"

we clap for Chloe

"Chloe you better start concentrating on your hip hop because it is hip hop"

"the group routine is called Gone Too Soon and of course we are referring to those hollywood tradegys"

"Nia you will portray Witney Houston, Kendall i wanna see the sass and spunk of Selena, Brooke will be inspired by Amy Whinehouse, Paige Anna Nicole Smith your buddy Chloe will portray Marilyn Monroe"

Chloe does and exited dance

"no that's not fair" Paige playfully says

"and Maddie who else is there than Princess Diana"

"oh i love her" mom says

"and finally Kayla while your sister plays a british princess you will portray one of Russias last Grand Duchesses Anastasia Romanov." Abby says

i gasp

"alright you can go girls spread apart"

|Group Rehearsals|
we learn the group routine and i'm absolutely in love

"okay let's go from the top let's see what we have" Abby says and we go from the top

"i'm gonna let you go in a few minutes i want to not keep choreographing i want to keep the story, you need to tell the audience and the judges they shouldn't know who you are because of the costume they should know who you are because you're telling a story do your homework look on the internet google it figure it out, or just maybe one of you will be gone too soon from the Abby Lee Dance Company"

we get dismissed and we leave the room

we are sitting in the dancers den

"i have no clue who any of these people are besides Diana and Marilyn" Paige says

"Anastasia was a princess in russia who got shot with the rest of her family in 1918." i say

"you said that so casual." Paige says

i laugh "i just don't know how to portray her Maddie can be angry and stuff because of Diana's story but Anastasia was a kid she was seventeen locked away for months before she died" i say

"be scared didn't you not say Anastasia was a troublemaker so be happy to fear and then if you can show that you got shot" Maddie says

"yeah i might do that." i say

|Two Days To Competition|
we arrive at the studio and head in

"hey girls how you doing?" Abby asks

"good" me and Maddie say

"hey" mom says

Abby sends me, Maddie, Kenzie into the dancers den and to speak with mom

|Private With David|
we are going over my wish solo because David says Abby really wants me to compete it but she wants it to be perfect

"that was beautiful absolutely gorgeous Abby's going to love this solo." David says

i smile

|One Day To Competition|
"guys come on! we're getting on a bus we're competing tomorrow this is the first competition we've been back since i was gone" Abby says

we go over the routine and we finish it off

"compeition exit.. that was a hot mess"

we go from the top again

"Chloe, you need to make sure your that way a little bit more"

"point your feet Paige! you're the centre of the stage!"

"foot underneath you!"

then my mom walks into the studio

but we continue the group

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and there's so many fans i wave to a few and then we need to the dressing room

"alright remember this is the first competition back, this is it don't make me regret coming home so ladies we have three solos Mackenzie you're the first solo up then Chloe you're second then Maddie you're third" Abby says

"Maddie are you ready? i had a different shirt though."

"Maddie come out" mom says

"yeah okay that's.. i don't like the shirt." Abby says

"you don't." mom says

"no cause this is plaited." Abby says

they change Maddies shirt and all is well

"now listen you two this is the first time that you're going up against eachother since you did the exact same routine now you're polar opposites so if you wanna do hiphop dance next time and you want to learn a tap dance in an hour an a half we can do that too" Abby says to Maddie and Chloe

we head backstage with the soloists

Kenzie is up first and her costume is so cool

she enters the stage and i love her solo this week it's so cute Kenzie finishes her solo and exits the stage

i give her a high five

Chloe is up next and i'm really nervous for her because it's a hiphop dance..

Chloe enters the stage and it feels like a jazz solo i feel so bad for Chloe right now Chloe finishes her routine and exits the stage
i give her a hug

Maddie is up next

"good luck and have fun" i say

Maddie enters the stage her music starts and her solo is so good Maddie is such a good tapper and her acting is on point her apron starts to fall down but she doesn't miss a single beat

she finishes her solo and exits the stage

i give her a high five "well done!" i say

we head pack to the dressing room and i start my makeup for the group

Abby enters the dressing room "Melissa you are on my last nerve, amazing job." Abby says to mom then to Maddie

"i was nervous." Maddie laughs and sits beside me

"Chloe you did a great job too but we're back to right were we started forgetting the dance." Abby says

"did you forget the dance?" Christi asks Chloe

"you forgot this whole thing" Abby says

"i did it here." Chloe demonstrates

"that's eight counts." Abby says

"i-" Chloe starts

"you didn't do the whole swish swish, you're really gonna argue with me? really?" Abby says

i get my costume on for the group dance and i absolutely love it

group costume:
my mom pins my crown into my head

"Maddie i'm sorry oh my god sorry i forgot to tell you i'm a wicked brusher" Christi says

and i laugh

we go over the group then head backstage

"and to the intensity stage is act number 86 in the junior contemporary small group please welcome Gone Too Soon" the announcer says and we enter the stage

Maddie starts the routine then Brooke then i do a pirouette into a pose on the ground to show i've been shot we do the routine and i make sure to show me being happy as a joyful child then as the dance continues to get more sad and fearful
we finish of the routine and i fall to the ground holding my stomach

we exit the stage and i hug Maddie

"in second place with a score of 271 points is miss Kayleigh with pom pom patch"

"your highest scoring elite mini soloist with a score of 280 points is miss Mackenzie with act number 11 California Adventure"

we clap for Kenzie and she gets her award

she takes a bow and sits back down

"and now for our elite junior soloist"

"in fourth place with a score of 275 points is miss Chloe with act number 15 Beautiful"

we clap for Chloe and she gets up to get her award

"first runner up with a score of 280.7 points is miss Maddie with act number 13 You And Me Against The World"

i give Maddies hand a squeeze and she gets up to get her award

"alright now for our elite junior small group"

"in third place was act number 81 Mannequin"

"in second place is act number 80 Rockerbells cannon"

"and your highest scoring elite junior small group with a score of 277.5 points is act number 86 Gone Too Soon"

we cheer and stand up and i hug Chloe

we head backstage and Maddie starts to cry

"are you hurt?" i ask

"i'm just annoyed" Maddie says

"Maddie it's okay" i say

Maddie shakes her head

we run into the room cheering

"good job" some of the moms say

"i got fourth with a hiphop!" Chloe screams in excitement

"i know! and Melissa thought you were upset" Christi says

i look at Christi confused then i look to my mom who's packing up

"uh you said that Maddie was so upset okay?!" mom yells

"she looked so upset" Christi says

"kiss my ass! Kayla get your costume off." mom says to Christi then me

"why are you saying this infront of your kids?" Christi asks

i go behind the curtain and take my costume of and slip on leggings and a t shirt

there's to many pins in my bow and crown so i keep them on

"cause guess what you do it all the time! you tal about my kids all the time oh Maddies upset everytime Maddie doesn't win oh my god Maddies upset Maddies upset so don't play the game!" mom yells

"she was crying" Chloe says

"she was crying thank you" Christi says

"oh whatever, screw you! i'm fine i'm so over it you're always against me" mom says

mom then hands me my bag and jacket

and i slip my team jacket on and i take my dance shoes off and put my converse on

"why don't you tell that trashy girl to stop" mom says

"we're leaving."

me mom Kenzie and Maddie start to walk out of the dressing room.

Maddie runs off then we go back into the dressing room

"Melissa tell me what's going on." Abby says

"Maddie is fine." mom says

"Maddie learn from Chloe or learn from Christi being evil not to cry you gotta save it for the pillow because people like that make it worse everytime you get knocked down you fight that much more and that's what makes you Maddie, you're a survivor got it?" Abby says

"come over here and give me a hug"

Maddie walks over and gives Abby a hug

hiii wanted to explain why Kayla portrayed Anastasia when she is most definitely not a hollywood tragedy, i was in my anastasia phase with the musical so i threw it in and now i don't know any hollywood deaths that i know well besides like Diana ect 😭 so we are just going with it and plus Prince Phillip was the last living royal to have shared Romanov blood so i guess we can say she was Anastasia to go along with Diana ?? BUT i hope you enjoyed nonetheless
