we arrive at the studio and it's only Gia at the front desk

"hi Gia" i say as i walk in

"hi girls" Gia says

we walk into the dancers den

"where's Abby?" Jill asks

"i know i asked Gianna and i was like hey you are here by yourself and she was like yeah Abby's not here yet." Holly says

"over the past three days Mrs Miller has not been feeling well." mom says

"oh you're kidding" Holly says

"so is Abby here?" Christi asks

"i don't know." mom says

"is she gonna come help with the rehearsal?" Leslie asks

Gia walks into the dancers den

"did you hear from Abby?" Jill asks

"i haven't talked to her, i'm just gonna start the group i have the group music um it's called Just be it's pretty lyrical it's not hard and James is here to help me" Gia says

we all gasp

i love James!

"you know where we are going this weekend?" Christi asks

"not yet, but wherever we are going we have to have a group dance so come on"

Gia says

"work hard girls! thank you Gia!" Holly says and we walk into Studio a

|Group Rehearsals|
it's a bit weird not having a pyramid and we don't even know who's doing solos hopefully Abby comes back.

"you guys do realise Abby is not here we don't know when she's coming i brought James in to help me today because Abby's not here please pay attention you guys give Abby that respect please give us that respect" Gia says

we nod

we start learning the group and it's very technical this week

but it's a very pretty dance

"let me see it now without Asia and Mackenzie" Gia says

we do the dance again without Asia and Kenzie

Kelly then pops her head through the door

"excuse me my kids are here to learn the group dance." Kelly says

"okay." Gia says

then Paige and Brooke walks in

we all run over to hug Paige and Brooke

"i've missed you" i say

we start doing the group and Brooke and Paige learn it

i'm so happy they are back it hasn't been the same without them

|Two Days To Competition|
we walk into the studio and it's just Gia again

we go into the dancers den and everyone arrives

"girls do you want to come in and start stretching um moms do you wanna come do i can tell you a little bit about this weekend." Gia says

we all come into studio A

"as you guys know Abby is still not here i don't know if she's coming i don't know if she's coming back today" Gia says

"i tried to call her she hung up on me."

"did Abby give you any instructions about this week." Holly says

"we're going to Believe talent competition in sindascio Ohio" Gia says

we all clap

"it's a fun one it's a good one, um as far as i know all nine of you are going to be in the group dance this week."

"Asia you're having a solo this week."

we clap for Asia

"it's a jazz routine called lighting, the second solo is Maddie and the third solo is Kayla."

i smile

"they are all the routines Abby gave me."

"um since there's only three numbers and we usually have five is there anyway i could have a solo!" Brooke asks

"have you asked Abby?" Gia asks

"no." Brooke whispers

"we can maybe work something out but i can't do anything without talking to her first." Gia says

we are going over the group routine

"Asia your feet!" Gia tells out

i do my turns

"tighter Kayla stomach in"

we finish up the routine

"okay this has too look good onstage please please please win." Gia says

we all put our hands in

"one two three Gias dolls!!" we chant

we get dismissed

|Solo Rehearsals|
i walk into the studio

"hi Gia." i say

"hello, so your solo this week is entitled Pure Imagination from the movie Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" Gia says
i gasp

"your costume is gorgeous you just have to be mystical and pretty"

i nod

we learn my solo and i love it

it's to the song Pure Imagination by superhuman

it's a gorgeous piece

"okay that looks good we'll clean it up tomorrow" Gia says

"thank you." i say

|One Day To Competition|
today a girl called Hannah from the company starlight is coming because she watches us on Dance Moms and she really wants to meet Maddie which i think is the cutest thing ever

it's Maddie solo and rehearsal and i think Hannah and Lori are here is i hope it goes good

Maddie comes into the dancers den after the rehearsal

"how did it go?" i ask

"really good, Hannah is really nice" Maddie says

"that's good" i smile

"she's coming to the competition tomorrow so she will let all you girls!" Maddie says

all the girls smile

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and we wave to fans as we walk in

we head to the dressing room and i start my makeup for my solo

"is Payton doing a solo?" Kelly asks

"no how could she do a solo she don't practise a solo." Leslie says

"neither did Brooke she learnt it the same day." Jill says

"she learnt it in fifteen minutes and Brooke said Payton has her solo costume in the room." Kelly says

"i don't understand why you're asking that isn't your daughter Brooke doing a solo." Leslie says

"yes." Kelly says

"then how are both doing a solo?" Leslie asks

"Chloe,Maddie and Kayla do a solo all the time." Christi says

i stick in my earphones to block out the moms fighting and Holly helps me with my bun

Holly then pins my clip in

i take my earphones out "thank you." i say

"you're welcome." Holly smiles

"oh there's Hannah!" mom says as Hannah and Lori come into the dressing room

"oh my gosh you look adorable" Jill says

"we are excited to be here." Lori says

Maddie goes over to hug Hannah

and then i come over to hug Hannah

i walk back over to get my solo costume on

"thank you for coming today." Maddie says

"thank you for having me." Hannah says

"this dance is dedicated to you so" Maddie says

"you're an inspiration to our kids you can't jump on a trampoline can you?" mom says

"not really" Hannah says

"aw honey don't cry you seem so healthy you know you can go everywhere um you can swim right? you wanna go swimming with us tonight okay." mom says

Kaylas solo costume with the clip at the back of the bun:

i come back out to see Maddie rehearsing her solo

"thank you for coming." Maddie hugs Hannah again

Hannah and Lori head to the audience and we head backstage

Asias solo so up first

she enters the stage and she's really sassy she's absolutely nailing the solo Asia finishes her routine and exits the stage

"be amazing do this for Hannah because for the past two years she has watched you dance and grow up." i say to Maddie

"thank you." Maddie says

"coming up next is entry number 34 this is Maddie performing Hold On." the announcer says

she starts her solo and it's absolutely gorgeous she's really putting her all in it

Maddie finishes her solo

and she exits the stage

i hug her

"coming up next is entry number 35 this is Kayla performing Pure Imagination." the announcer says

i enter the stage and my music starts

i start my routine and i really make sure my technique and acting is on parr

i finish my solo and i see my mom cheering

i exit the stage and Chloe comes over to hug me

"well done." Chloe whispers

"thank you." i whisper

we come into the dressing room and mom hugs me and Maddie

"you dances beautifully" mom says

"thank you" Maddie says

"but at the end did you smile at her because at the end she gasped and looked at me like when you finished did you smile." mom asks

"yeah." Maddie says

"and you were phenomenal." mom turns to me

"thank you." i say

"can i have my phone in my purse." mom asks

i hand her the phone

"who you calling?" Jill asks

"Abby." mom says

i take my clip out of my hair and spray hairspray on my bun for the group

"hello." mom says

"i'm still in bed it feels so good" Abby says on the phone

i start my makeup for the group

"we're all getting ready for competition." mom says

"where are you Abby?" Jill asks

"i'm at my moms house." Abby says

"oh you're in Orlando?" mom asks

"yeah." Abby says

"when are you coming home?" mom asks

"whenever Brooke and Paige get the hell out of my studio." Abby says

my mom gasps

i look up shocked

"Abby were you serious when you said Payton could have solo?" Leslie asks

"yes." Abby says

"is Payton doing a solo?"

"Brooke is doing a solo." Leslie says

then Abby hangs up the phone

"she doesn't want us here." Brooke says

"it doesn't matter if she wants us here Brooke." Kelly says

Brooke starts to cry and hugs Kelly

what Abby is doing isn't fair on Brooke and Paige at all

we head backstage with Brooke to do her solo and she enters the stage i really like her song and her dance is really nice she finishes her solo and exits the stage

i run and hug her

"you were so good" i say

we head back to the dressing room to get ready for the group

group costume:

we head backstage for the group

"coming up next ladies and gentlemen is going to be entry number 81 put your hands together for Just Be." the announcer says

we enter the stage and our music starts

Maddie does her turn section them i do mine

we go into dancing with the other girls and the group routine is so pretty it might be my favourite dance of the season so far

we finish the group and exit the stage

"alright we're gonna start in the advance mini solos." the announcer says

"second place is over the rainbow."

"and your highest scoring eight and under solo will be lightning."

we clap for Asia and she gets her award

"twelve to fourteen solos"

"fourth place entry number 36 i hurt."

we clap for Brooke and she gets up to get her award

"moving onto the top ten highest scoring soloists"

the top nine is announced and i take Maddies hand

"second place will be entry number 35 Pure Imagination."

i smile and i get up to my my plaque

"your highest scoring soloist will be entry number 34 Hold On."

i smile to Maddie and she comes up to her her big trophy i go to sit down so Maddie has her moment

"um i'd like to dedicate this trophy to new friend Hannah thank you for coming you're a real winner." Maddie says

i smile up to Maddie and mom and Hannah come onstage

"this trophy's for you." mom says and Maddie hands Hannah the huge trophy

"and starlight is an amazing organisation you can go on their website and donate and help little girls like her." mom says

Hannah hugs Maddie

and Maddie sits down beside me

"that was really nice of you" i whisper

"she deserved it more than me." Maddie whispers

mom and Hannah go back to the audience with the trophy

"nine to eleven small groups" the announcer says

"third place teachers pet."

"second place entry number 85 seasons"

i take Maddie and Chloe's hand

"your highest scoring nine to eleven small group will be entry number 81 Just Be"

we get up screaming

i hug Maddie

we did it without Abby!!

we come back to the dressing room screaming and the moms cheer

me and Maddie run into our moms arms

and Kenzie comes running in

we won!!
