this week i'm back to competing and there's no more breaks i finished filming and my focus is on the road to nationals!

we arrive at the studio and it's different because Kalani isn't here as Maddie said a whole big fight happened again and i'm sad because i love Kalani so much

we get called in for pyramid

"alright ladies you won" Abby says

we all clap

"finally, this week word on the street The Candy Apples they're here again and they're going to come back with vengeance we wanna be way above them this time we wanna be much further you should set yourself apart that's what Kalani did just the look just the ora you bring to the stage the professionalism that's what you need to do"

"do you want Kalani to come back?" Holly asks

"no" Abby says

"yeah but we won this weekend without her but with nationals around the corner i mean Kalanis a lost it's a void so what do we do?" Jill asks

"well get your magic wand out wave it and make your kids legs and feet look like hers." Abby says

"let's get to the pyramid shall we?"

"at the bottom of the pyramid JoJo, i think your feet look horrendous and you're not conscious off it"

"next we have Nia, your dancing didn't stand out in the group routine you weren't memorising that's why you're here let's not have that happen again"

"and we have Mackenzie, you did well but we kept correcting you on your eyes you don't express yourself through your eyes that's what we needed you to do."

"and next is Kayla, you weren't here last week you were wrapping up Descendants and doings press and promos for disney"

i smile

"and then Maddie, now Maddie you had the lead in the group routine and i feel like everytime we do a group you do a lead in which is more often than not you're automatically top of the pyramid it's time to knock you down a few pegs and this my way of knocking you down you're going to start working for that a lot harder"

"and at the top of the pyramid we have Kendall"

we all clap for Kendall

"surprised" Jill says

"Kendall you're on top of the pyramid because i felt that you took some initiative in the group routine" Abby says

"this week we're travelling to escentedo California and we are attending the New York Dance Experience now this is actually our countdown to nationals it's gonna start here and now our solos are going to go to the person on the top of the pyramid" Abby says

we clap for Kendall

"and the person on the bottom of the pyramid."

we clap for JoJo

"whoever does better will proceed in the eliminations for a national solo"

we all clap

"Kendall your solo contemporary jazz and it's called immortal..JoJo i know you like Miley Cyrus so you're doing a jazz piece and the name of your music is she can't stop."

"now the name of the group routine is Don't Fence Me In we're using a big prop in this number a barbed wire fence"

"oh" Holly says

the moms get dismissed and we warm up

"kay listen because here's what we're gonna need to do..you guys you're fenced in to this prison uh field..Mackenzie this is a opportunity for you step up drag the front of the fence hit the fence a little bit or touch it..yes now you're going to do a three step turn into a aerial walkover" Abby says

we learn the group dance and Abby has JoJo running up Maddie and Nias back..

"Maddie can you lift her?" Abby asks

"who?" Maddie asks

"Kayla." Abby says

"um" i say

Maddie walks over and lifts me up

i scream

"wait no.. grab her hand and Kayla do a aerial" Abby says

Maddie takes my hand and flips me over and i do a aerial

"okay yes do that" Abby says

we arrive at the studio and we go on up to the studio

we start stretching while Abby gets her things then Kalani walks through the door

"KALANI!" we all scream and we run and hug her

"I HAVENT SEEN YOU IN A WEEK!" i yell and i jump on her

Kalani walks up to Abby then walks back

Kalani makes a face and i sigh

gonna be a long day

|Group Rehearsals|

we go over the group and Abby isn't letting Kalani do it which is sad

then Kira comes in

"i'm coming to talk to you." Kira says

Abby ignored her and directs Maddie on what to do

"i quit," Abby then says

my head shoots over to Abby

"alright see you guys..everybody's finished for the day" Abby says and she leaves

we walk over and we get our bags and we leave

|One Day To Competition|
"Kalani what religion are you?" Abby asks

"Catholic" Kalani says

"you are Catholic?" Abby asks

Kalani nods

"so you know what penance is..you did something wrong you say i'm sorry that was a bad mistake and then the priest says alright you need to say five hail marys five hail fathers you..your penance is not dancing and it's your fault." Abby says
Kalani nods

the moms come in

and we do the group routine for the moms

and Abby keeps yelling at Kenzie

this is a disaster.

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and we run into Jeanette and the Candy apples but they are under her studios name now
we head to the dressing room

and the soloists get ready and JoJos costume is so cute

and Kendall's costume is gorgeous

we had backstage with the soloists

JoJo enters for her solo and she's nailing this dance

"is she meant to do that?" Maddie asks

i gasp

"no she's improving." i say

JoJo finishes her dance and exits the stage

"good job..it's okay come here" Kalani says and hugs JoJo and she starts crying

"the judges didn't notice." JoJo says

"the judges didn't notice it happens i forgot my solo" Kalani says

"i can't believe i just did that Abbys going to kill me." JoJo says

"no she's not." Kalani says

"yes she is" JoJo says

"no she's not" Kalani says

Kendall enters for her solo next and i think Kendall's dance is gorgeous

Kendall finishes her number and exist the stage

we then head outside and we meet the moms and Abby and Gia

"so i need to ask you infront of everyone what happened?" Abby asks

"i didn't want to run off because that'd be worse so it's like" JoJo says

"but do you understand we would've liked to shown off our choreography" Abby says

"i don't wanna like..it was my favourite solo and i really wanted to do it good but i just i don't know what happened." JoJo says and she starts to cry

"come here." Abby says and JoJo walks to Abby

she gives JoJo a hug and i think it's a nice moment

we then head to the dressing room and we start getting ready for the group routine

group costume:

we run through the group and we then head backstage

BDA entered first and they have the Gay Men Chorus singing live for them so i hope we can still win

their routine is gorgeous like stunning the meaning is gorgeous we definitely have competition

they finish the routine and they exit the stage

"next up is number 63 dont fence me in" the announcer says

we enter the stage and into our starting positions

our music starts and we start the routine i make sure my facials are flawless and i hit everything

at one point Maddie grabs my hand and flips me over as i do a aerial

we finish the routine and Maddie is in front of the fence and we are all behind it

and i think Kenzie killed it

for solos

Kendall got third

and JoJo didn't place

so i feel really bad as JoJo is out of the running

"the overall group the judges has a tough one with this one" the announcer says

"second place scored 295 points Run Run Run Broadway Dance Academy"

i squeeze Maddies hand

"alright the overall group of the day Dont Fence Me In Abby Lee Dance Company!"

we all cheer and we stand up to get our award

we take a bow and we head back to the dressing room

"congratulations you beat the other team" Abby says

we all clap and cheer

"Kendall you beat JoJo so you are in the running for nationals now next you have to go up against the twins..think of what you need to work on think of the things i harp on all the time and let's go forward in this next section of competitions to nationals..no more interruptions no more chaos alright got it?" Abby says
