last week was alright, i lost my solo winning streak and i really wanted to win but i'm happy for Chloe!

we all walk into studio A for pyramid

Miss Abby talks to us and corrects us on last week

"onto the pyramid, i'm not even gonna discuss this." Miss Abby says skipping what i'm assuming is Brookes headshot

"i'm moving on to Paige, you're gonna have to work back up that ladder."

"next i have Nia, you've been working very hard you still have to fix those technical issues."

"Kendall, Kendall you are still on probation mom it's a long process."

"oh my god." Jill says

"Mackenzie, you were the overall high score primary age division you proved yourself in the group with the apples and you proved your solo." Miss Abby says

i beam for Kenzie she deserves the praise so much

Chloe smiles and gives Kenzie a thumbs up

"Maddie, Maddie i thought you did a great job in the group and your solo, you're still on a losing streak to your sister but oh well keep working you need something to work for." 

"next Kayla, you're solo was amazing you shined in the group dance you took responsibility and took over as the lead and i'm very proud of you for that."

"thank you." i say

"and on top of the pyramid this week is Chloe" Miss Abby says

we all clap and i side hug Chloe

"you did something out there you made your mother cry she was bawling, don't make me cry make me smile." Miss Abby says to Chloe

"this week our group number is called what comes around and it's based on bullying Nia you will be portraying our bully."

"Chloe you have a solo this weekend, Kayla you have a solo this weekend, Maddie you also have a solo this weekend"
i smile

i'm so happy to have another solo

"i also have a trio and a duet" Miss Abby says

"the trio is.. Chloe Maddie and.. Kendall." Miss Abby says

"Kendall you stepped it up with the apples but now i need to see if you can hang with Maddie and Chloe." Miss Abby says

"what about Kayla?" Jill questions

"Kaylas a bit too good for Kendall." Miss Abby replies bluntly

"Kayla you also have a duet." Miss Abby says

"with Paige?" i ask

"no." Miss Abby says

"so that leaves me with one more bit of news, i'm bringing in another member a strong dancer that can go up against our bully please welcome Payton!" Miss Abby says

Payton enters and we all scream and run over and hug her

"Kayla Payton is your duet partner" Miss Abby says

i smile and hug Payton.

|Group Rehearsals|
"shove her forward" Miss Abby says to Nia

"bigger harder, go" Miss Abby says and Nia pushes Maddie again.

"keep working on it" Miss Abby says

then Holly walks in

"what?" Miss Abby asks

"i have a huge problem with Nia portraying the bully and i know its playing a part" Holly says

"i finally gave a part to your kid." Miss Abby says

"i know i want her to be part of the dance." Holly says

"Payton your the bully, Nia you are not the bully" Miss Abby says

Holly then sighs and leaves

"your mom took the part away not me." Miss Abby clarifies to Nia

poor Nia.. Miss Abby starts learning Nia our part in the dance

"Chloe you are going to enter first.. you're on the top of the pyramid don't push it." Miss Abby says to Chloe

Miss Abby then tells Chloe to do something but i don't think she understands

"i don't know why your mother says you have no confidence you are the cockiest kid i've ever met." Miss Abby says to Chloe

"i'm giving you both legs straight and your doing one leg bent, do you understand? she doesn't have a brain in her head move in."

"i expect more from you you should know what straight legs are, and you ignore me you are not a choreographer don't start being one, you are on the top of the pyramid suck it up the next kids on speed dial." 

i quickly hug Chloe and get back to rehearsing

after rehearsals we all get to go to Brooke and Paiges house to see Brooke and i missed her so much!

|Two Days Till Competition|
|Solo Rehearsals|

"Kayla you're solo is entitled If By Chance and it's lyrical you lost to Chloe last week and i don't want it to happen again. got it?" Miss Abby says

"yes." i say

we learn the dance and i really like it, it's to the song If By Chance by Ruth B

"i want this dance to be perfect for Saturday okay?" Miss Abby says

"okay." I say and i leave studio A

|Duet Rehearsals|
"your duet is called baby steps, it's about Payton teaching you the way of dance, i need to see connection okay?" Miss Abby says
we both nod and learn the dance it's very pretty it has a a lot of ballet in it so i'm excited

"Kayla, other than Chloe you are my strongest ballerina i don't know if it's because you haven't done it in a while or it's Chloe beating you last week but you aren't showing me the ballerina you were 2 years ago, i want this perfected and the partner work has to be off the charts if you want to beat the trio." Miss Abby says

we both nod and exit studio A

|Competition Day|

i'm a bit nervous to compete but i really hope i do well

the trio and duet is up first

Holly does my hair in a bun and my costume is very pretty

Kaylas costume:

"you guys need to space out when you dance you need to move back" Miss Abby says to the trio

"Kayla, Payton this number needs to be clean, Kayla i didn't put you in the trio for a reason i know you can do musical theatre and you'd excel with it especially with Chloe and Maddie because you've dance with them before i'm teaching you new things alright?" Miss Abby says

i nod

Maddie Chloe Kendall Payton and me all go backstage

"good luck" i tell the trio

"please welcome Chloe, Maddie and Kendall to the stage!" the announcer says

they walk on and the first thing i notice is Chloe being Miles away from Maddie and Kendall oh god.

"she's too far away." i say to Payton

"who?" she's asks

"Chloe." i say and i point to her

"oh." Payton says

the trio was cute and the song was sweet but i know Abby is going to be furious

they finish and they exit i immediately walk over to Chloe

"you did amazing." i say to Chloe

she smiles slightly

and then i get ready to enter for the duet

"Please Welcome Payton and Kayla!" the announcer says
we enter and we dance our heart out
i think i did amazing at the ballet part and our partner work was really good we finish the dance with me taking a step forward away from Payton and the crowd cheers very loud and we exit

i hug Payton

"i think we did well" i say

"we did." Payton says

and we walk back to the dressing room

Miss Abby then walks in

"woo girls." Miss Abby says and makes a face

"what did you think?" Miss Abby says

"it was good." Maddie says

"just when i thought i was giving you that sweatsuit Kendall that leg went up." Miss Abby says

"spacing was off at the beginning Chloe yes?" Miss Abby says to Chloe

"Payton you were good, i did see mistakes but overall it was good." Miss Abby says

"Kayla you were amazing, but i now regret not putting you in that trio." Miss Abby says

i nod

solos are up next and i have to win

Kaylas solo costume:

my hair stays up in a bun but with a rhinestone clip

"Kayla i want a win you haven't been on top of the pyramid in weeks i want a change okay?" Miss Abby says

"Okay." i say

me Maddie and Chloe all head backstage

for once i'm going first and i'm really nervous

"you'll be amazing" Maddie says

"Thank you." i say

"Please welcome Kayla with If By Chance" The announcer says
i enter and my music starts i put my heart and soul into that dance i make eye contact with the judges and put a lot of emotion into the dance, i finish and i see my mom crying and i exit

"that was incredible!" Chloe says

"Thank you" i say while taking a drink of water

"Please Welcome Maddie with the girl i wanna be." The announcer says

Maddie enters and her solo is beautiful i might lose

but i can't lose..Abby has her faith on me

"she's amazing" i say

"i know." Chloe says

"don't be nervous you'll be amazing" i say

Maddie finishes and exits i hug her tight and now its Chloes turn

"please welcome Chloe with Proof" the announcer says
her solo is very pretty and i do think she can win but Miss Abby didn't get her a dance anything like mines and Maddies
she finishes and i hug her so tight

"that was amazing!" i say

she smiles and we walk back into the dressing room
it's time for the group and my hair is in a ponytail with a white bow

group costume (what Maddie is wearing)

"does everyone have their socks taped?" Miss Abby asks

"yes." we all say

"what colour socks do we wear?" Jill asks

"it's black socks what other colour would we wear?" Miss Abby says

then Miss Abby and Leslie start bickering

"i just wanna go over this" i mumble to Maddie

she nods in agreement

when we were walking out Miss Abby says something to Chloe

"what did she say?" i ask Chloe

"she's destroys you." Chloe mumbles

our group gets called and me and Payton do our duet bit
Payton then stuck the sign on my back and we continue the routine
i think we all did really well

"Payton you almost screwed the whole dance up with the sign." Miss Abby says

"woah woah woah woah Abby." Leslie says

"did you just say woah Abby?" Miss Abby asks

"yes i did, it's her fault her daughters pigtails weren't up high enough." Leslie says

i look to mom

"yes but she needs to fix her own mistakes" Miss Abby says

"no Abby." Leslie says

"no Abby?" Miss Abby questions

Miss Abby corrects things and Payton speaks up

"i think i was better than most of the people overall" Payton says

oh

"did you see everyone else dancing?" Miss Abby says

"that's how i felt." Payton says

"we don't correct each other i asked you how you felt about you not everyone else." Miss Abby says

lovely then.

"junior solo third place going to baby i'm a star." the announcer says

"second place goes to The Girl I Wanna Be."

Maddie stands up to get her award

its down to me and Chloe

"first place does to If By Chance." the announcer says

i beam i stand up and take my trophy and hug Maddie

i'm so happy i won and i hope Abby is happy aswell

we sit back down and i'm so happy for myself

"onto the duo/trio division" the announcer starts

he reads off the places and it's down to first

"in first place is Baby Steps" the announcer says

me and Payton smile and stand up and take the award then hug eachother i'm sad for the trio because Miss Abby is going to blame Kendall but i'm happy i won

our group doesn't even place which is disheartening

we walk back to the dressing room and my mom hugs me

"i'm so proud of you" she says

"thank you!" i beam

Miss Abby comes in and speaks to Chloe and then comes over to me and hugs me

"congratulations!" she says

"thank you!" i say

this week was a very good week for me.
