"come on girls let's go" Abby says as we walk in

"congratulations on a successful dance concert"

the moms clap for us

"all of your performances were amazing you showed the entire city of Pittsburg why we are ranked nationally in the country as one of the top dance studios"

"keep in mind this is the road to nationals this is where it gets tough because we will be travelling to california to go to the ihollywood competition" 

i gasp and we all cheer

"at the bottom of the pyramid i have Paige, you couldnt do too much with the boot i understand that i want it to heal you were supposed to see a doctor four weeks" 

"she's going this week" Kelly says

"so let's hope Paige that you're going to be dancing again" Abby says

"next Brooke, Brooke the hiphop dance wasn't really your thing"

"next Mackenzie, Kenzie went out there and you looked just like the big girls however i thought the hiphop choreography went over your head"

"moving on i have Nia, you received the award for the most improved student and that is something to be very proud of however like i've said before do not rest on your lorals"

"moving up Chloe, Chloe trapped you did a great job in the role."

"next Maddie, Maddie you're here because you were strong and percised with every number you did." 

"and on top of the pyramid is Kayla, Kayla you're here because you won the scholarship in your age division."
i nod

"Kendall you can see you're not on the pyramid yet keep working keep trying and you might get on this team"

"Mackenzie you've a solo you better do the whole number"

"Nia you also have a solo" 

we clap for Nia

"Chloe you'll also be doing a solo" 

i smile to Chloe

"now i have one more solo to give out who wants it? who thinks they could do it?" 
me and Maddie raise our hands

"it's going to Kayla." 

i smile

"everybody is in the group routine Kendall i am inviting you to travel to California with us to participate in the group number" 
we clap for Kendall

"you're dismissed, spread apart we have lots of work to do" Abby says

|Group Rehearsals|
we start learning the group dance and it's very like where have all the children gone

"this is quick and quick and step together you're rushing that" Abby says

we go over the bit again

"hey there's no getting out this group so learn it" Abby says to Kenzie

we go from the top then a mom and her daughter walks in

"hi" the mom says

"hi" Abby says

"you're Kiya" Abby clarifys

"i'm Kiya and this is Nickaya" Kiya says

"Nickaya" Abby repeats

"do you want to get your shoes and your street clothes off and i'm going to check her out in a little bit if you want to go up and sit with the moms you're more than welcome too" Abby says

"okay." Kiya says

and they both leave the room

i glance over to Maddie

"you guys keep working get that down pat, come over here to the barre" Abby says

i sit beside Maddie

Abby checks out

she then has Nickaya do turns with us

"second second second" Abby says as we turn

"so i'm going to call your mom down okie doke" Abby says

and she signals for Kiya to come down

Kiya comes in Abby talks to her

Abby invites the both to come back tomorrow

|Two Days To Competition|
we head into the dancers den

"wonder of that girl is coming today" Paige says

"if i had to take a guess i'd say uh huh" Jill says

"i can't believe she had that on her shirt!" Kelly says

"black Patsy" Kelly Holly and Jill say

"you're black Holly" Kelly says

Holly laughs

"can you imagine? what is she talking about" Holly says

Kiya and Nickaya walks in

"hi" we all say

"hi how are you?" Holly asks

"what do you want the girls to call you?" Jill asks

"oh my nickname is Nini" Nikaya says

"oh they call you Nini?" Jill says

"i'll call you laquifa" Kendall says

we laugh

"laquifa what? laquifa what?" we all say

"come on girls let's go let's go let's go" Abby says as she walks in
we head into studio a

"5,6,7,8 go" Abby says

as we start the routine

we are 30 minutes into this rehearsal

and we are still cleaning things up

"Abby." Kelly comes in

"yes?" Abby says

"can i have Paige? it's time for her doctors appointment" Kelly says

"go ahead go good luck" Abby says

Paige gets up and leaves

|Solo Rehearsals|
"now Kayla you should be thankful i'm giving you this solo after what happened, but i need a shoe in to win." Abby says

i nod

"you're solo this week is a jazz entitled Broadway now you haven't won in a jazz routine since last season, i want to change that if you don't win you can kiss a solo for nationals goodbye." Abby says

i bite my lip and nod

we learn my solo and its very different from any other jazz routine i've done

"okay, that was good now i count you as my top dancer don't go out there and blow it." Abby says

i nod

"okay you're dismissed" Abby says

"thank you." i say and i leave

|Group Rehearsals|
we do our fan kick

"i don't want to hear your feet hit the ground!" Abby says

Kelly and Paige walk in

"what did the doctor say?" Abby asks

"she got cleared she's allowed to dance" Kelly says

we scream and hug Paige

"but she's not allowed to do tricks for two more weeks." Kelly says

"okay." Abby says

"he said to do it very limited you know not to not overwork it" Kelly says

"okay." Abby says

we finish up the group rehearsals and i have classes for the rest of the day

|One Day To Competition|
starting of the day with my solo and i really do like it

i finish my solo and Abby claps

"that was good, if you do it like that you'll win the whole thing."

"yes" i smile

"okay you're dismissed" Abby says

|Competition Day|
my solo is up first and mom helps me get ready

Solo costume:

Chloe and Nia run through their solo

then i run through mine

"remember this is the road to nationals we are on our way let's go" Abby says

me Chloe and Nia head backstage

"you'll be amazing" i say and hug Chloe

"Please welcome to the Ihollywood stage from Abby Lee Dance Company this is Chloe performing Glitz and Glamor"the announcer says
Chloe enters and her music starts
the start of her dance was rocky but she ended so strong

she exits the stage and i hug her

"you were amazing!" i say

i'm up next and i'm so nervous

"good luck" Chloe says

"thank you" i say

"Please welcome to the ihollywood stage from the Abby Lee Dance Company this is Kayla performing Broadway" the announcer says
i enter the stage and my music starts and i start my routine
i make sure everything is clean and my facials are on point i get up to my turns and i go into my ending pose
the crowd cheers and i strut off

"that was so good" Chloe hugs me

"good luck Nia" i say

"thank you." she says

"welcome from the Abby Lee Dance Company this is Nia performing 20 scat" the announcer says

her solo was really nice and impressive she finishes her solo and exits the stage

we head back to the dressing room and Maddie hugs me

"hey hey hey! good job!" Abby says

"i loved it" Abby says to Nia

"Chloe i think some things were really really good but i think some things were not so good that's not the way to go to nationals." Abby says

"Kayla i thought you were fabulous well done." Abby says

"thank you." i say

"Mackenzie are you ready? how's that stage make sure you get out there far enough" Abby says

we head to the audience to watch Kenzie perform

her solo was so cute she nailed everything

we go back to the dressing room

and we get ready for the group dance

Group costume with a teased hair with a blue ribbon

"hey guys! i need everybody dressed i haven't even said who's in the dance and who isn't in the dance i haven't even space everybody yet" Abby says

we head backstage and Abby said Paige and Nikaya is both doing the dance

"Please welcome Abby Lee Dance company performing i see the kite flying" the announcer says

we enter the stage and our words start and we start our performance

i make sure any turn i have is clean and my acting is really on point

we finish the routine and exit the stage

"we have our top 3 mini oscar solos" the announcer says

"in third place from Abby Lee dance Company act number 51 Hollywood" the announcer says

we clap for Kenzie and she gets her award

"next up is your junior tony solos" the announcer says

"we are gonna start in tenth place from Abby Lee Dance Company number 37 20 scat" the announcer says

we clap for Nia and she gets her award

"moving along to fifth place in the genre of contemporary from Abby Lee Dance Company act number 22 Glitz and Glamor" the announcer says

i smile to Chloe and she gets her award

the next awards are giving out

"and our top junior soloist from the Abby Lee Dance Company act number 24 Broadway" the announcer says

i beam and i stand up to get my award

i proved to Abby that i'm her number one girl

we sit back down and Maddie high fives me

"in first place junior oscar small group in the genre of contemporary and from Abby Lee dance company act number 70 i see
the kite flying" the announcer says

we cheer and stand up to get our award

we won!

"and who choreographed your routine?" the announcer says

"Miss Abby Lee" Nickaya says

we take a bow and we head back to the dressing room

Abby comes in

"congratulations Chloe for making the top five congratulations Nia for making the top ten and congratulations Kayla for
winning top overall" Abby says

"thank you." i say

"Nikaya you and your mom are being pretty quiet" Abby says

"you had a lot to say on the microphone" Abby adds

"what do you mean?" Kiya asks

"this goes to the rest of you you're gonna let the new girl walk in and get the microphone and get to speak don't let the new kid come in here push you out of the way" Abby says

"you did the same thing to Paige today you're threatening to replace her with somebody else" Kelly says

"why do you all keep saying replace we're not coming to replace nobody" Kiya says

"i'm not talking to you thank you" Kelly says

Kiya keeps talking over Kelly

"what are you saying Abby i'm sorry somebody was talking" Kelly says

"Kiya was talking" Kiya says

"i don't want even use your name that's why i keep saying her" Kelly says

"i got a name i want to call you too but i'm trying to be respectful" Kiya says

Gia then takes us out to get our makeup off

we come back to get our stuff and we head home!
