"come on let's go let's go!" Abby says as we walk into studio A

"this is a cause for celebration come on!"

we all cheer and clap

"The Abby Lee Dance Company took back owner ship we beat crap out of the crabby apple"

Kristie and Asia walk into the room

"hey! hi how are you?" Abby says to Asia as she hugs her

then Asia stands in line with us and Kristie stands with the moms

"without further ado i'm gonna get to the pyramid" Abby says

"first Asia you weren't here that's where you end up"

"and next on the pyramid Nia, in the group you lagged behind a little bit i don't want you to be the weak-link."

"next Kendall, Kendall you were apart of an award winning group you did a good job during rehearsal mmm you need to be stronger"

"and next Kayla, you were also apart of an award winning group and i expected you to outshine everyone in that routine i didn't see that."

i nod

"and Paige, you were second overall high score usually second is the first to lose but i think you had a great performance you should be very proud of yourself."

"moving on up we have Mackenzie, Mackenzie i have big plans for you this week you're up this high on the pyramid because that's where i expect you to be that's how well you need to perform you gotta give me more"

"next we have Chloe and Maddie, Chloe and Maddie two professionals out there it looked like you could've done that dance eight times a week so congratulations to the two of you"

we clap for Chloe and Maddie

"on top of the pyramid is Brooke, it's about time you danced like you're fifteen years old."

"this week we will be attending power house dance competition in fortwaine Indiana, we have a very serious if you will group routine the group routine is entitled living with the ribbon now you all are familiar with pink ribbon people everyday are living with cancer they're beating the odds they're surviving"

"you okay? why did you get choked up?" Abby asks my mom who's crying

"cause my mother died of cancer my mom died of really awful she died in nine months it was awful." mom says

"it is, people are living with cancer children are living with cancer they're surviving this is a piece that i've wanted to do we're going to do it this week it's very interquit choreography, Mackenzie and Asia you are not in the group routine you have solos" Abby says

"Asia it's entitled Too Hot To Handle, Mackenzie you will also be doing a solo it's entitled Old West"

"Maddie you will be doing a solo this weekend the name of your routine is Be Anything"

"and my last solo will be going to Chloe, Chloe the name of your solo is called You Can because you can get better you can listen to your mother and do what she wants you to do or you can listen to me and do what i want you to do"

"moms you're dismissed oh wait one more thing moms what happened last week the took my senior company who are very focused and caused them to look up there if i see any of that behaviour you will leave this studio and your child goes with you do i make myself perfectly clear? alright you're dismissed ladies spread apart"

|Group Rehearsals|
the group routine this week is very special and it means a lot

we learn the routine and we have this ribbon we're working with and the routine is so pretty

"okay you're dismissed" Abby says and we all leave

|Private With David|
"hey how are you?" David asks when i walk in

"i'm alright" i say

"okay so Abby wants me to choreograph you a solo just for a backup sorta thing or for a competition"

i smile and nod

"it's called Wish and it's a gorgeous lyrical routine"

i nod and we learn it it's to the song a dream is a wish your heart makes form cinderella and i hope i get to perform it one day

|Three Days To Competition|
we are in the dancers den and Maddie plays her solo music

"that's pretty" i say

"that's the same as mine." Chloe says

everyone is confused and shocked

Chloe gets her phone and plays hers and it's the same

"wait plays yours" Chloe says and plays Maddies music

"wait what happened?" Christi asks

"it's the same." Chloe says

"it is the same" Kelly says

"why do i have the same? why do we have the same dance" Maddie asks

"wait why do we have the same solo but different names?"

"so we wouldn't catch on" Christi says

"no they match up, it makes a sentence You Can Be Anything." i say

"ohhh" Chloe says

Maddie and Chloe then mark their routine and it's the exact same

"same choreography, same song, same costume same dance" Maddie lists off

"did you learn it the same day?" Kelly asks

"yeah" Maddie says

|Two Days To Competition|
this morning i'm in a private with David doing my wish solo!

"tight!" David says as i do my turn sequence

"and leap!" David calls out

"pretty arms Kayla, pretty arms"

we finish the routine and David claps

"i think by the time you get to do this routine it will be perfection" David says and high fives me

i smile

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and we head to the dressing room

"alright girls you know the drill" Abby says

i start getting ready for the group and mom helps

me with my hair and i do my makeup

while Maddie and Chloe get ready for their solo

and so does Kenzie and Asia

we head backstage for the solos and Kenzies up first

Kenzie enters the stage her solo starts and she's so freaking cute she's nailing all of her tricks

sometimes i wish i could flip like Kenzie can because she's incredible

Kenzie finishes her solo and exits the stage and i pick her up and i spin her around in a circle

"you were adorable you nailed it Kenz!" i say

Asia is up next and she enters the stage and she's her solo is sassy but i think a six year old shouldn't be doing that type of dance, Asia finishes her solo and exits the stage

we head back to the dressing room

"Asia, why were you onstage singing the lyrics you ruined your entire number because everyone was looking at what you were saying i even motioned to you from my seat Asia every goal and obstacle we concur throw yourself back a few steps" Abby says

"Mackenzie did you watch Asia from the wings?"

"yes." Kenzie says

"what'd you learn?" Abby asks

"not to lip sync" Kenzie says

we all start laughing and i give Kenzie a small high-five

Maddie and Chloe's solos are up next and i'm nervous for them

"Kayla come here" Abby calls me over

i walk over to Abby

"we both know you should be doing this solo to shut everybody up but i didn't get you to do this solo not because you forgot your solo three weeks ago because i know if i gave you that solo you would win i don't need you to prove that you're the best because you are. so the second you get a solo back i want you to show off to everyone why you're the best" Abby says

"yes" i nod

"okay good" Abby says and hugs me

Miss Abby still thinks i'm the best, that's a good thing.

i walk back over to the dressing table

Chloe and Maddie go over their solo and then we head backstage

"good luck you'll be amazing i love you" i hug Chloe

"coming up now is entry number 19 in the junior solo division heres Chloe with You Can" the announcer says and Chloe enters the stage

she is absolutely nailing it it's so beautiful

Chloe finishes her solo and exits the stage and i jump on her with a hug

"that was amazing i wish Abby gave you choreography like that every week you'd be beating everyone" i smile

"thank you" Chloe smiles

i walk over to Maddie and i give Maddie a hug

"be amazing" i whisper and give her a kiss on the cheek

"up next is entry number 20 in the junior solo division heres Maddie with Be Anything" the announcer says

Maddie starts her solo and it's odd seeing the exact same dance but she's nailing it but she bobbles on her turn at the end and i make a slight face

Maddie exits the stage and Kenzie hugs her but Maddie shoved her off

"ow?" Kenzie says

"get away!" Maddie says

Kenzie hits back

"what's wrong?" i ask as i start to follow Maddie

"all my turns were bad all of them every single one" Maddie says

"no they weren't it was once turn Maddie" i say

"no they were all bad" Maddie says as we walk down the hall

"get over yourself they were fine" i say

Maddie rolls her eyes and walks off

we walk back to the dressing room

and start getting ready for the group

group costume:

we are going over the group dance then we head backstage

"taking the stage right now is entry number 187 in the junior small group category here they are with living with the ribbon" the announcer says and we enter the stage

Brooke starts of the routine then we slowly enter one at a time i make sure to put my all for this because my grandma died of cancer, we make the ribbon symbol with the pink ribbon and we finish the routine off, and we exit the stage

"it is now time for our junior small gorup division" the announcer says

"in second place entry number 86 from zeak company here's my son"

"and in first place entry number 87 from Abby Lee Dance Company living with the ribbon"
we all get up and smile

we won!!

we take a bow and sit back down

"it is now time for our divisional overalls"

"in second place from Abby Lee Dance Company entry number 17 Old West"

we clap for Kenzie and i give her a thumbs up because i know she wanted to beat Asia

she gets up to get her award

"and in first place entry number 18 from Abby Lee Dance Company Too Hot Too Handle"

we clap for Asia and she gets her award

they take a bow and sit back down

"your elite high points for the junior division in the junior solo category"

i take Maddie and Chloe's hand

"in third place is entry number 15 from tiffany and company the escape."

"second place is entry number 20 from Abby Lee Dance Company Be Anything"

my eyes widen and i look to Maddie and she looks devastated

i clap for her as she gets up to get her award

i retake Chloe's hand and give it a squeeze

"and in first place junior solo in the junior divisional high point award entry number 19 from Abby Lee Dance Company You Can"

i scream and hug Chloe so tight and she gets up to get her award

i clap for her

Chloe did it!

they take a bow and sit back down

i give Chloe a high five and i hug her again

we head backstage and Maddie starts to cry

"you were fabulous why are you sad" i whisper

"i'm not sad did you not see my smiling." Maddie says

"why are you sad?" Paige asks

"i wasn't sad did you not see me smiling the whole awards?" Maddie asks

Brooke comes over and hugs Maddie

we head back to the dressing room and Christi hugs Chloe

and i walk over and give Chloe a big hug

"i think you more more excited than me your face" Christi laughs

"i got a little excited" i smile

"hey, congratulations!" Abby says

we cheer

then the announcer comes into the dressing room

"we had a goop." he says

"one of our judges they gave Chloe a 99.10 she actually had 96.6 because they gave her a 27.5 in a category that only had 25 points that means that the overall winner would've been Maddie."

i look to Chloe who smiles slightly and claps lightly for Maddie and we all start clapping

"thank you so much we appreciate that" Abby says

"i'm sorry." he says

"hey you know things happen alright thank you very much." Abby says and the guy leaves

"woohoo!! everyone congratulations on the group Maddie, Chloe congratulations on being great sports mistakes happen." Abby says

Chloe and Maddie switch plaques and Chloe comes back over

i look to Chloe who's trying so hard not to cry and i give her a big hug

"you still won in my eyes" i whisper

she nods and wipes some tears

we then leave the dressing room to get changed.

this week wasn't fair at all.
