it's a new competition season! so over the break Abby got Kenzie a dog so now it's mines and Maddies dog aswell her name is Maliboo and me and Maddie had a birthday recently so we are eleven now yay! im really excited for this season!

|Pyramid|
"come on girls! let's go let's go! buckle up buckle up!" Abby calls for us and we enter studio a

"new season new year new energy come on."

"yay no moms woo!!!!" Abby cheers then the moms enter

"no sorry i'm here" Kelly says as she enters

"awh." Abby says and lowers her head

i start to laugh

"congratulations to all of you that participated in Home Again, you did it you won."

we all clap and i smile

"this is the fourth year that the Abby Lees Dance Company Elite Competition Team has been going out every single weekend and it might not be the same kids too much longer, we have some that has other opportunities others that can't follow rules others that are working indelicately and improving faster than ever and other people that are too lazy to take class"

"so something's gotta give everyone's replaceable, i am holding open auditions in three major cities, Orlando, Atlanta and New York and you can bet i'm gonna find some talent, alright girls i'm gonna get right to the pyramid."

"Chloe you weren't there."

"i just wanted to say im sorry that i let the team down and that i wish i would've been at nationals but i know that wasn't what happened but i just wanted to let you guys know that im gonna be working really hard this season and it won't happen again." Chloe says

i smile to Chloe

"good, good to hear it." Abby says

"and next Payton, you apologised you worked your butt off let's see if you can say out of trouble."

"Nia, i'll come back to you." Abby says

"okay." Nia says

"and next we have Brooke, you can't get a ride you can't come to dance class?" Abby asks

"we missed one day because we were in New York for fashion week she has been here every single day we've had class." Kelly says

"and next we have Paige, you know years we've said when Paige is a teenager it's all gonna click and she's gonna be amazing well sweetheart you're almost a teenager." Abby says

"and next Mackenzie, you were second i'm sorry i think Asia would've won Asia pushed your buttons she made you cry she made you pout but she made you better she made you work harder."

"and Kendall.. oh this is what's wrong." Abby says

and she takes Kendall's headshot off and takes Nias and switches them around

me and Chloe look to each other then back to Abby

"so Kendall comes in third and comes in behind Paige and Nia who didn't dance at nationals?" Jill asks

"Paige wasn't at booty camp."

"excuse me excuse me Nia did dance at nationals." Holly says

"didn't do a solo at nationals." Jill says

"she did dance at nationals." Holly says

"i think your very disrespectful." Abby says

"how's that disrespectful?" Jill asks

"you were disrespectful for not being there your kid gets a solo she gets the opportunity at nationals she earned this doing that and then swoopsh" Abby says

"and next Kayla, your solo was gorgeous it was fluent it was clean and your performance was strong."

i smile and nod

"and on top of the pyramid the reigning national champion Maddie."

everyone claps and i smile

"now we are travelling to weiling West Virginia to attend Sheertalent."

"Kayla we have you doing a solo this week, it's something new well sort off we are taking your old tap solo and revamping it for this weekend."

my eyes widen

i learnt that tap solo two years ago now we are making it better i hope it's good

"Maddie we also have you doing a solo, and my other solo which you think would probably go to Kendall is going to Nia."
we clap for Nia

"you have worked hard so i'm awarding you with this solo, i have a trio Paige you have to cut the mustard, Chloe you are going to bookend Paige and you are both gonna backup Kendall."

we clap for the trio

"everybody is in the group routine as of right now the group routine is entitled girls night out, Payton you think you're up for a fight?."

"yes." Payton says

"interesting." Abby says

"alright moms i'm gonna send you upstairs and rest of you are gonna spread apart."

|Group Rehearsals|
the group routine this week is a sassy jazz and i love it

"stay out Kendall!" Abby calls out

"girls we have days to learn this number you're onstage trying to defend your honour of your national overall highscore winners." Abby says as we finish the routine

"Maddie, Kayla  i know that you both go out on that stage and be amazing and if this team isn't going to support you and be amazing i'll find people for you guys to dance with got it?"

i bite my lip because i love my team the way it is

they are all my best friends. and i know Maddie thinks the same

we go over that dance again

"don't you think it would be funny if Chloe started some trouble then Payton like click you know play it out like you girls get in an argument." Abby says

i look to Chloe and i snicker a bit

she just smiles knowingly

"go forward and Chloe attacks you."

and Abby teachers what Payton and Chloe need to do

we finish the group routine and we get dismissed

|Two Days To Competition|
|Maddies Solo Rehearsal|
Abby has me in with Maddies solo because she wants me to watch the solo rehearsal

"we need to focus, boom and then your hands away and you get all excited like the come out pretty like and you're gonna make your wish then you start" Abby says and then she blows

they learn more of the solo

"what you think?" Abby turns to me

"it's pretty." i say

"use your mouth if you spit it's okay use it." Abby then says to Maddie

Gia comes in with the rest of the girls with a cake

i gasp

"Kayla come here" Abby says and i walk over to beside Maddie and the rest of the girls

"congratulations Maddie 2013 national title winner." Abby says

Maddie smile and blow out the candles

"yes perfect!"

we leave the room then i head to my tap rehearsal with David

|Solo Rehearsals|
"how was nationals?" David asks

"Maddie won." i say

"ah you'll get them next time." David says

"hopefully" i say

"now we're taking this old tap solo to a recital solo to a wining competition solo" David says

David starts taking some old steps from my solo Anything Goes and adding harder steps i never competed this solo but i did do it in recitals it's to the same song Anything Goes from the musical.

"remember that turn section you had." David asks

"then four pirouette into the last shuffle?" i ask

"yes." David answers

i nod

"can we make it into six into the same ending."

i do the six turns into the shuffle into my ending pose

"let's see that from the top." David says

i go from the top and i add my faces to the dance

"beautiful im excited to hear if you win or not." David says

"i hope." i say

"you'll be amazing." David said

"thank you." i say and i leave studio b

|Group Rehearsals|
we enter studio a then Abby comes in

"hello, no Brooke? no phone call no text okay." Abby says

we start the group routine and we go from the top

after we do the group Abby pulls out her phone

"i just wanted to share some information with you this is an email from a friend of mine i have a client who is on tour she loves you and thought it might be fun for you to go to a concert would you want to choreograph a routine to one of her songs Jana Kramer." Abby says

Brooke then comes through the door

"let's take it from the top one more time i think we're good and we can dismiss this, Brooke you late for rehearsal doesn't work that way."

"i don't think Brooke wants to do the dance what do you think girls?"

i look to Maddie and then to the floor

"and you're there covering your crotch like you just wet your pants with your foot sickled.. let's go from the top." Abby says

Abby has Brooke and Payton do the dance by themselves and Brooke forgets a couple of steps
"what are you doing?" Abby calls out

after the rehearsals Abby calls us over

"i know you all want to see Brooke sing onstage so go" Abby says

and i look up to the moms

|Brookes Concert|
tonight me and the girls are at a concert to watch Brooke sing!

we get to the venue and we get to meet Jana Kramer

we then head to audience and i'm so excited

Jainas concert starts and it's so much fun

me, Chloe and Maddie start clapping along and dancing

after a few songs Jana makes her announcement

"i have a very special guest tonight and i love her and she's gonna sing her new song for y'all so please give a warm welcome to miss Brooke." Jana says

"WOOOO!" we all start cheering

and Brooke goes onstage

"GO BROOKE!" i yell

us girls get out our phones and start filming

she finishes her song and we all cheer

"LETS GO BROOKE!!" we all yell

"THATS MY SISTER!" Paige yells

i start laughing

the rest of the concert was so much fun i had a great night

|One Day To Competition|

we enter the studio and we are all jumping up and down
because of last night

|Solo Rehearsals|

"okay did you work on this with David?" Abby says

"yes." i say

"okay let's see you." Abby says

i slip on my tap shoes and we go from the top of the routine

i make sure my faces match the music and i have my turns clean

i finish the routine Abby claps

"should've gave you a tap solo sooner" Abby says and then she dismisses me

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and there's so

many fans i wave to alot of them and take a few photos

we get into the dressing room

"think about that, see girls this is what i tell you you're the Abby Lee Dance Company everyone knows who you are they expect greatness so you can't be one bit less onstage today." Abby says

i start my makeup for my solo and mom starts my hair

Abby hands me my costume and then i go behind the curtain

Kaylas solo costume:

my mom then sews my hat into my head

and i slip on my tan tap shoes

"that's so cute." mom says

i do a little sailors pose and laugh

we then head backstage for the solos

the trio is up first and and they enter the stage

and their costume is so cute

they start their routine and i really like it this week they finish their routine and exit the stage

"ladies and gentlemen welcome to the stage we are going to move to 115 please welcome Maddie to the stage dancing to Birthday." the announcer says

Maddie enters and starts her solo

her solo is absolutely gorgeous this week everything about it her costume and the music is amazing, Maddie finishes her solo and exits the stage

i give her the biggest hug "that was incredible." i say

"thank you, you'll be great." Maddie says

"ladies and gentlemen next to the stage is 116 please welcome Kayla performing to Anything Goes." the announcer says

i enter the stage and get into my starting pose

my music starts and i start my routine

i make sure my taps are clear and my faces match the music

i do my ending and i exit the stage

"well done." Maddie hugs me

"thanks." i say

Nia enters the stage next and her music starts her solo is very nice this week and you can see the improvement
she finishes her routine and exits the stage

"you were so good" i hug Nia

we head back to the dressing room and mom hugs me and Maddie

we then start getting ready for the group

my mom does a bun in my hair

and pins the black flower into my hair

Kaylas costume:

we head backstage to perform the group

"this is a preteen jazz group please put your hands together for Girls Night Out." the announcer says

Kenzie starts onstage and then our music starts and we all strut out

we all start the routine and i make sure to give sass

Chloe and Payton do their fight bit then we do our ending and we exit the stage

the trio ends up getting first and we clap for them

"alright moving onto our junior solo division" the announcer says

i take Maddies hand

"in fifth place Aronica"

"fourth place goes to Michelle almost there"

"third place goes to Ariana Devine"

"second place goes to Kayla with Anything Goes"

i smile and i get up to her my award i take a quick bow and sit back down

"first place in the junior solo division drum roll please.. Maddie with Birthday."

i clap for Maddie and she gets her award

i'm gutted i got second but im happy Maddie won

"to our final category and overall this will be preteen group."

"fourth place geek squad."

"third place in our preteen group division Girls Night Out."

i smile and Kenzie gets our award

we enter the dressing room and mom hugs me and Maddie

"i don't usually announce where we are going until pyramid but next week we're going to Ohio and you all know who's in Ohio so being third overall has me a little bit worried about next week." Abby says and leaves the room

we pack up and leave the competition

next week is gonna be tough
