this week me, Maddie, Kenzie, mom and Abby are in LA!
we are here because Kenzie is recording her first ever song!

"okay i wanna start with the chorus.. na na na na na." the producer starts

"okay while you do that Maddie has to get ready she has a job, and Kayla is stuck right here." Abby says

"i'm the cheerleader for today." i say

mom and Maddie then leave

i sit down next to Abby and Kenzie starts doing the chorus

"tell her, tell her we're taking a break." Abby gets up and says

"we're gonna take a little break okay?" the producer says

Abby goes into the room and directs Kenzie on what to do

and Kenzie does the song again and Abby starts doing a little dance i start laughing
Abby then gets me to join in

Kenzie finishes up her song

"well done Kenz" i high five her

then sadly me mom, Kenz and Abby has to fly home while Maddie gets to stay to finish her job

|Pyramid|
"come on let's go!" Abby yells as we come in

it's weird being here without Maddie but

at least i still have one sister to fight against the evil forces of dance with

"congratulations!" Abby says and we all clap

"alright now obviously Maddie is not here she is doing a job in LA, i'm looking for the child who can be my Maddie and Kayla when Maddie or Kayla aren't here.. we need someone to push Kayla this week because her sidekick isn't... let me start the pyramid."

"Nia, you had an opportunity to do a solo something went wrong that's what put you at the bottom of the pyramid."

"and next i have Kendall, Kendall you were apart of the duet with Kalani.. Kalani did a duet with Maddie last week and they won was it your fault?"

"next Kalani, from top of the pyramid to bottom row you're only as good as your last performance."

"and next we have Chloe, Chloe was apart of a winning duet the only thing i saw last week in you was the facial expressions you have to do more and you have to figure out what those facial expressions are."

"moving up is Mackenzie."

"but why is Mackenzie above Chloe in the pyramid." Christi asks

"because Mackenzie was outstanding with the candy box." Abby says

i give Kenzie a small high-five

"Chloe was apart of the winning duet and she was in the winning group dance and Mackenzie is above her because of a candy box?" Christi asks

"well she had a solo part..okay." Abby says

"and next is Maddie, she was apart of the winning duet and her facials in the group routine is exactly what i want from all of you."

"and on top of the pyramid is Kayla."

i smile but everyone is so silent

"no body seems to happy about that."

"it's just predictable these days." Jill days

"isn't that sad?" Abby says

i look to the ground

"moving onto this weekend we will be travelling to fortwaine Indiana we will be attending dance masters of dance arts, the group routine is entitled The Bite."

"Mackenzie you will be performing a solo this week you will be doing a jazz gymnastics solo entitled Red."

"Kalani you're going to be doing a solo and it's called Swan Solstice, Chloe you will also have a solo the name of your routine is Into Me it's lyrical routine alright?"

"yup" Chloe says

"alright Maddie isn't here today i need somebody to take her place, ladies we're gonna have a little compeition i want everybody to improv and then the moms plus Kayla are going to pick the kid they think wowed them here's the little catch you cannot pick your own child and Kayla you cannot pick Mackenzie." Abby says

i nod

"alright moms i want you to stand over here Kayla stand infront of your mom."

i walk forward and i stand infront of my mom

"alright ladies 5,6,7,8."

the music starts and all the girls start improving

they finish the first round

"Jill."

"firstly my eye was to Kendall but i know we can't pick them so my eye was secondly drawn to Kalani." Jill says

"Kalani? okay." Abby says

"Kira?"

"Chloe." Kira says

"Chloe." Abby nods

"Chloe." Holly says

"um Kalani." mom says

Abby looks to me

"Chloe." i point to Chlo

"i was watching you." Christi points to Kendall

"wait could you say the name i didn't hear." Jill says

"Kendall." Christi says

"thank you." Jill says

"alright you two are out of the game." Abby says to Nia and Kenzie

they walk to the side

"5,6,7,8" Abby calls out

the girls start doing round 2 of the improv and Chloe is absolutely nailing this

"okay, who's voting for Kalani?" Abby asks

Nia raises her hand

"who voted for Chloe raise your hand."

me,mom, Jill and Kira raises our hands

"one,two,three,four."

"and who voted for Kendall?"

Christi, Kenzie and Holly raises their hands

"one,two,three."

"Kalani you're out."

Kalani comes over to us

"alright we have it down to two."

Chloe and Kendall do the last round of the improv

we clap for them as they finish

"Kalani?" Abby asks

"Kendall." Kalani answers

"Kendall." Kira says

"Kendall." Nia says

"Kendall." Holly says

"Kendall." mom says

"Kendall." Kenzie says

"Chloe." i say

"what happened?" Abby asks Chloe

Chloe shrugs

"Kendall, Maddies not here right now so you have been chosen to take her position, everyday Maddie is chewing at Kaylas heels and Kayla is chewing at Maddies heels..if i don't see that you weren't the right choice." Abby says

|Two Days To Competition|
"Kayla..Kayla..Kayla." i hear Maddie say

i open my eyes to see Maddie shaking me awake

"Maddie?" i say

"i'm back!" she says

i jump up and i hug her

"when did you get back?" i say and i fix my pillows up and i leave against them

"late last night you were already asleep." Maddie says

"how was it?" i ask

"it was amazing, i'm excited to be back." Maddie says

|Group Rehearsals|
"Maddie, since you weren't here yesterday i put Kendall incharge they had to do improv dance off to see who was going to be like the main person to do the counts so respectfully i want to let her continue today..okay you worry about you and your parts alright?" Abby says

"yep." Maddie says

then Maddie looks over to me and mouths "why aren't you doing it?"

i shrug

Kendall counts us in and we start the group routine

Abby then hands us cloaks and we put them on

"Kalani you're going to come out first, then my next set is Kendall and Maddie and then Kayla and Chloe then Mackenzie and Nia." Abby says

we go over the routine

and at the end Maddie hands me and Apple and i take a bite and fall

"the apple has to below your chin and we have to see your teeth in it." Abby explains to me

Abby calls us over

"alright so you know you have won seven times in a row eight would be great.. alright let's go." Abby says

|Competition Day|
we get on the bus and i sit beside Chloe me and her start playing minecraft on our laptops together

"omg Chloe get here.. get here." i say

"why... where even are you?" Chloe asks

"i'm about to die one heart help help over here." i say

"there you go" Chloe says as she kills the skeleton

"thank you." i smile

"alright girls listen up." Abby says

me and Chloe hide out in our minecraft house then look up at Abby

"usually i'm pretty confident in the group routines i know that they can win wether they win or not based on who else shows up and the judges we don't know that but i always leave my studio feeling confident i have a winner i'm not so sure about this routine i don't care if you have been with me since you were three years old..you're slow on training you need to get off let's get on the ball not all of you are gonna end up professional dancers."

i look to Chloe and she sighs silently

"Christi."

"yes?" Christi answers

"the other night in the parking lot you dinged somebody's car with your car door and when they wind down the window you said in quote don't even think about suing me i don't make any money" Abby says

"that's not what i said." Christi says

"watch your mouth" Abby says

"i know Abby because everything i do is wrong and everything in your life about you is perfect.. it's not what i said and it's not how i said it!" Christ defends

"then why did she bring it up?" Abby deflects

"don't say anything like that about me!" Christi says

"if you said you were sorry she probably wouldn't even told me about it." Abby says

"okay.." Christi sighs

"but because you were so ignorant she said something." Abby says

"im not ignorant! i'm not! you're the ignorant one!" Christi yells

"then get off the bus!" Abby yells

"you did a good job getting rid of Kelly!" Christi yells

Abby laughs

my eyes widen

"no body on this team is safe understand ladies?" Abby says

we arrive at the competition and we head to the dressing room

Kenzie, Kalani and Chloe solos are up first we head backstage with them

"good luck." i hug Chloe

"next to the stage this is a junior solo number 21 Chloe with Into Me." the announcer says

Chloe enters the stage her music starts and she starts her solo and it's beautiful

she finishes her solo and i clap

she exits the stage and i hug her

"you were so good." i say

Kalanis solo is next

"good luck" i say over to

"up next is entry number 22 is Kalani with Swan Solstice." the announcer says

Kalani enters the stage and she starts her solo and it's breathtaking

Kalani finishes and exits the stage

me and Maddie go over to hug Kalani then i go over to Kenzie

"listen, just be you don't be me don't be Maddie and don't be Asia be Mackenzie okay?" i say

"yeah." Kenzie nods

"okay love you be amazing." i say and i hug Kenzie

"next up in the mini division is entry number 20 this is Mackenzie with Red." the announcer says

Kenzie enters the stage and she starts her solo and i think she's nailing it but her hairpiece falls out on her back tuck

i gasp

she finishes her solo and i hug her

"Abbys going to be so mad." Kenzie says

"no she's not." i say

"yes she is." Kenzie says

"she'll be mad at mom not you." Maddie says

we head back to the dressing room

and we go over to mom

"Kenz you did great out there." Jill says

we start getting ready for the group routine

Group costume:

"hey hey." Abby says as she walks in

"Kalani great job on your solo, Chloe it was good."

"well this.." Abby says and takes a hair piece out and throws it on the floor

"that embarrasses me, it's unprofessional it makes me look bad your hair you control that's your responsibility the way you all look when you step onstage that's the easy part! i am not gonna let you i will not allow you to fail at dancing for music or music for dance get it? because someday Brookes going to be kicking herself."

"so Abby i have a quick question when Kendall won the competition we had what was her special part again?" Jill asks

"she was the dance captain she still is." Abby says

"okay but before that you said it was for special part." Jill says

"no i didn't." Abby says

"yes you did." Jill says

"moms did we discuss what we thought.."

"no it was my number one leader of the group with Maddies absence who was gonna count for everyone who was the go two girl and that's what she did you can't hear when your sitting up there." Abby says

"we just assumed Kendall would be doing the part Maddie got because she wasn't at pyramid and Kendall won the dance off." Christi says

"wah wah whine whine whine." Abby mocks

"i don't think.. Maddie or Kayla do anything that Kendall couldnt have done so what would it have hurt you to not feature Maddie or Kayla for once" Jill says

"wanna know how to be the favourite? be on time, be prepared be the best person in the class never once did i hear Kendall open her damn mouth and say Miss Abby i really want the special part please let me try it." Abby says

"why would she do that?" Jill asks

"if she wants it so bad that's what a kid does! if you want it bad enough you fight for it." Abby says

we then head backstage for the group number

"coming up in the junior small group division this is entry number 76 entitled The Bite." the announcer says

Kalani enters the stage then Maddie and Kendall then me and Chloe then Kenzie and Nia

we perform the group number we hall then take down our hoods and Maddie leaves the stage to get the apple and hands me it and i take a bite and fall to the ground

Maddie exits the stage then i exit the stage

"moving into our divisional overalls" the announcer starts

"in the mini solo division.. in second place act number 8 incharge"

"in first place act number 20 red."

i cheer for Kenzie and she gets her award

"okay your top ten highest elite junior solos."

i take Chloes hand

"in third place act number 42 baby june."

"your first and second place were very very close."

"in second place act number 21 Into Me."

i give Chloe and small smile and clap for her as she gets up to get her award

"and in first place act number 22 Swan Solstice"

i clap for Kalani as she gets her award

they take a bow and sit back down

"your top three junior small group."

"in third place act number 56 ghetto superstars."

"in second place act number 57 pulling."

"in first place act number 78 The Bite."

we get up and get our award

i high five Chloe and Maddie

we take a bow

we head back to the dressing room and the moms clap for us

Abby gives Kalani a hug

"congratulations, Chloe great job you danced really well but i need you to realise you're now taking private lessons at the studio like you should've been all the time." Abby says

"no she always did." Christi says

"you need to look at the attendance record in our studio you have a weird sense of when she was there." Abby says

"no because i drive her so i know when i'm driving." Christi says

"maybe she's sneaking out the back door to meet some guy i don't know." Abby says

"don't say that about a twelve year old that's wrong." Christi says

"well you're pushing it that point.. see what that mother does i wanna give that kid some praise and satan." Abby starts

"no i'm no!" Christi says

"satan destroys it!" Abby says

"and if you're not gonna improv the way Maddie and Kaylas improving then you'll be replaced that's it, there's no room for slackers on this team." Abby says and she and Gia leaves

hopefully next week is better...
