"Girls let go!" Mom shouts

We run to the car

"predictions for this week go!" Maddie says as we drive to dance

"Ummm you're going to be on top and get a solo!" I say

"and you're going to get a solo" Maddie says

"Probably not I got second!" I say

"This weekend provited rode island and hour outside of Boston some off the most prestigious studios in the country are there tough school tough competitors and you really held your own you won your victory count you killed it I'm very proud!" Miss

We all clap

"Excellent I'm very proud of every single one of you and you don't I don't say that often" Miss Abby says

"I'm also very proud the moms kept their mouth shut and didn't say anything to me see how much nicer it is when everything goes so smoothly? It was wonderful" Miss Abby says

Paige snickers a bit at the comment

"Now let's talk about this week's competition." Miss Abby says as she turns the board around

"We are going too.. what?" Miss Abby points to the board

"Star power!" We all say

"It's at the Mohegan sun and it's a resort it's all self contained we can't forget anything so we will have a wardrobe for each day they are going to be there just like the old school days yes? and you will pack here infront of me so I know you have everything" Miss Abby says to the moms

"Let's talk about the board."

"First of all everybody worked together as a team that teamwork is gonna help you in nationals that's what's gonna put you to the top teamwork and and technique those are the two things we're gonna concentrate on this week.. moms we're doing another new number!"

we all cheer

"One more costume!" Miss Abby says

"This week I'm gonna ask for you to work harder than you ever worked before we need to walk in there like we own the place and I will give you a pack list for clothes for the trip I want them dressed a certain way everyday that we are there does everybody understand that? Yes?"

|Group Rehearsals|
"Alright girls the new number we are going to do for this competition is called make you mine everybody say that." Miss Abby says

"Make you mine." We all say

"I want you to go out I want you to get the older girls black chairs." Miss Abby says

We all walk out and go find the older girls chairs

"I wonder what kinda of dance this is!" Paige asks

"I hope it's fun." Chloe says

"It will be we have chairs!" I say in excitement

"I hope it's easy" says Nia

"You'll be good in it anyways Nia!" Maddie says as we walk back into studio A

"Okay so it's a sassy jazz number..so you'll have the chairs as props" Miss Abby says

I smile brightly I love jazz numbers!

Miss Abby puts us in places and learns us the start of the routine

The chairs are like in a pile and Chloe starts on a chair

Nia is sitting on a chair infront of Chloe

Paige has her back turned to the audience in the middle

Brooke is diagonal Paige

Mines and Maddies chairs are upside down and we are in opposite sides of them on the ground

"1,2,3,4 Jante! Roll!" Miss Abby says

We all do the leap and Abby screams

"Put the foot up Nia!"

"Arms up straight!" She screams again

"ONE TWO ARMS NIA! THREE WHERE ARE THOSE ARMS?" Miss Abby shouts

"Last night at dinner with your dad! That's where the arms are."

We start doing it in groups again

With Nia Maddie and Paige

Then me Chloe and Brooke

Maddie Paige and Nia are going first

"Pop up! I want it strong! This is the third time in 20 minutes I'm telling you the same thing!" Miss Abby says to Nia

"Poor Nia" Chloe whispers to me

"I know" I whisper back

After we do the number Miss Abby calls us over

"You were the last one and it was 100% 100% 100% 100% 100% 50%" Miss Abby says pointing to me, Maddie, Chloe, Brooke, Paige then

"One more time.."

"Let's do it 1,2,3,4,5! It's still not sharp enough.. it has to come up watch it when the next group does it." Miss Abby says referring to me Chloe and Brooke

"Ready let's go." Miss Abby says as me Chloe and Brooke get ready to go over the number

Me Chloe and Brooke do the number without hardly any mistakes

"5,6,7,8 and a one two three four five six seven eight." Miss Abby says as we spin

|Solo Rehearsals|
"Kayla I'm giving you a new solo it's a lyrical piece called rain" Miss Abby says
I nod

"It's a gorgeous piece and I expect a win out of this.. do you think you can beat your sister?" Miss Abby asks

"yes" I reply

we start learning my solo and the song is the swans and we manage to finish the solo!

"wooo! Beautiful!" Miss Abby says as I do my ending pose

I get up and miss Abby high fives me

"Okay from the top" Miss Abby says and I do it one more time

"Okay well done you're done for the night." Miss Abby says

"thank you!" I say as I walk out

"Thats you done?" Mom asks

"Yeah where Maddie and Kenz?" I ask

"Class sweetie, go get your stuff so we can go" Mom says

|Two Days To Competition|
We walk into the dancers den and I sit by Chloe

"Okay ladies" Miss Abby says and hands out the pieces of Paper

"This is your pack list for the competition now I didn't get into too much detail since you guys go away all the time" Miss Abby says

Cathy makes a face

"Cathy the reason we do this so it's easy for me find the kids when I'm travelling with children and I need to get them quickly
and I wanna take photos and they all look good for my programme book." Miss Abby explains

"Im all about themes but these little themes outfits are just for the children?" Cathy asks

"Oh no no no no they're for everyone attending." Miss Abby says

"Hold the phone for just a moment because we've already went shopping and we've bought some fabulous clothes and I'm seeing here black and white nighttime and I'm going to assume that your talking about banquets and I have a fabulous fuchsia formal that I'm going to be wearing and she has green" Cathy complains

She's always complaining..

"You do remember I am not the team player and we will be packing at home and what we pack is what we're bringing." Cathy says

I look at Chloe and Chloe looks at me

"Do not make your child and outcast" Miss Abby says

"Oh we would love for Vivi to blend." Cathy says

"Yes" Miss Abby agrees

"The reason we're here is to stand out." Cathy says

Me and Chloe make a face to each other and they just bicker for the next 5 minutes.
after it was Maddies solo rehearsal while I was in tap..

Maddies solo is for our grandma it's very special and I know Abby said I had to beat Maddie as she beat me last week but with a solo like this I hope she wins, but I won't do any worse just so Maddie wins. moms very emotional about miss Abby dedicating the solo to our grandma..

after tap we had a break while nia was learning her solo and Maddie went to acro.

"I saw a bit of Maddies solo!" Chloe said coming into the den.

"Really? Was it good?" I asked

"Beautiful." Chloe says

"It must be its dedicated to our grandma" I say

"Awww that's sweet! But didn't you also have an Angel solo last year?" Chloe asked

"Yeah but that was because everyone called me an Angel and Gia gave me that solo because of it then the producers wanted that solo for the competition the week I did it for the show.. I am a little bummed Maddie gets hers dedicated to my grandma and not me but mines was created for a different reason and hers is created for my grandma" I say

Chloe nods

"Chloe, Kayla they're wanting you for group." Gia comes in
We nod and go to rehearsals

|Solo Rehearsals|
It's finally my solo rehearsal again.

"Okay I want to see this and it being perfect." Miss Abby says

I nod and start my number I finish it and we go over it a few times.

"Beautiful!!" Miss Abby says

"That's all your dismissed" miss Abby says

"Thank you." I say and walk out

|One Day To Competition|
it's costume fitting day!! I hope my costumes nice!

"okay here's Maddies and Kaylas costume" miss Abby hands our mom our costumes

"Here's Chloe's costume and Paige and Brookes" miss Abby says 

They all have solos that's not being aired only three is this week for a sister showdown and i don't know about Nias

"And here's Nias costume" miss Abby says

We all got try them on and mines is gorgeous it's blue and it's so pretty!

Holly doesn't like Nias costume because Abby says she needed an Afro for it..

|Travelling Day|
"Maddie Kayla wake up we have to go to the airport." Mom wakes us up

"It's to early" Maddie groans

"I know but please get up." Mom says

I roll out of bed and look at our alarm clock.

"It's four am" I sigh

Maddie groans and lays back down

"Come on we have to gooo" I say

"Noooo" Maddie whines

"Girls let's go!" Mom shouts up.

We all walk down stairs

"Okay go get ready we'll get food at the airport and make sure you have everything." Mom says

We nod and we make sure we have everything we also get dressed while we are doing that then we get in the car and drive to the airport Kenzie is fast asleep in the car

"I'm so tireddd" I complain

"Same" Maddie yawns

we make it to the airport

"Kayla wake up your sister" Mom Asks and gets out of the car.

"Wake up Kenz" I whisper

"why" Kenzie groans

"We have to get on a plane! You can sleep on that" I whisper

"Fine" Kenzie says and we all get out of the car and into the airport where we meet up with the rest off the group

|On The Plane|
We all got into groups so I'm besides Chloe and Maddie on the plane I fought for the window seat then Chloe beside me then Maddie on Chloe's left

"Is Maddie asleep?" I ask

Chloe nods

"Wanna watch victorious?" I ask

"Yes!" Chloe says and we watch victorious the entire time

|Competition Day One|
we make it to the competition the day after we travelled the hotel is fun but yeah

"Moms they're running 30 minutes ahead.. so get the makeup on quickly as possible so we have time to run this number that's more important" Miss Abby says

thirty minutes?!

i do my makeup quickly and get into our costumes and mom does our hair

Kaylas costume (what Maddie is wearing)

i start to stretch

"Maddie hows that feel? Does it feel good?" Mom asks as Maddie shakes her head to make sure her hair stays put

"not really." Maddie says

"Do you have to go to the bathroom? Maddie has to go to the bathroom" Mom says

"no I don't!" Maddie huffs

"Maddie listen to me you have to cooperate with me" Mom says as she puts more pins into Maddies hair

"Maddie! You have one number to dance and that's it!" Mom says getting annoyed with Maddie

Miss Abby is helping me with my makeup since Mom is doing maddies so we can hear everything

"Deal with it be a grown up!" Mom says

"okay!" Maddie snaps

"sick of this attitude!" Mom says

"Go get your earrings on" miss Abby says to me I nod and walk over to my dressing table

"Maddie you need earrings first, no! Maddie calm down please." Mom says

Maddie storms and gets her jacket on and sits back down

"Guess what do you wanna go home? You're never like this stop it!" Mom says.

Maddie gets down and picks up the eyeliner from the makeup bag

"Maddie go do some turns and see if that hair moves" miss Abby asks

"Please"

Maddie throws the eyeliner back in the bag and does some a la secondes

"What was that about? What was that?" Miss Abby asks referring to Maddies meltdown

After all that we go backstage with our chairs

"Welcome make you mine from 128" the guy says

We all walk on and get into our positions
We start the dance and then drag our chairs to certain positions and Nia is to far stage left
she also misses a leap as we are doing the number oh god
We finish the number and we all walk offstage.

oh my god. What was that

"We were terrible" Maddie starts to cry
"I'm so embarrassed" she says

I hug her tight and we walk back to the dressing room.

"Girls, I'm talking to your right now because I'm disappointed..and why were you crying?" Miss Abby asks Maddie

"I got hurt a little" Maddie lies

"You got hurt a little?" Miss Abby says

Maddie nods.

"Where'd it happen?" Miss Abby asks

"When I jumped off my chair I twisted my ankle" Maddie says

That did not happen.

|Competition Day Two|

i get ready for my solo

my hair is in a bun with a blue hair clip and my makeup is really pretty!

Kaylas solo costume:

Mom gave Maddie grandmas favourite Angel pin for her costume and it's really sweet!

"Welcome Maddie to the stage with Angel!" The announcer says
Maddie walks on stage and absolutely nails the dance I was almost crying and Nia side hugged me

"Why you crying?" Maddie says when she walked off

"It was beautiful." I say

"Mom was also crying" Maddie laughs

I laugh back

"Good luck Nia!" I say

She goes onstage and does her dance
I will say this was her best number
And next was me

"Welcome to the stage Kayla with Rain" the announcer says
I walk on and do my dance and I think I did pretty good!
I walk offstage and Maddie hugs me

"That was incredible!" Maddie says

"Thank you!" I say

|Awards|
"Only four tenths of a point seperates 1st from 3rd" the guy says

I squeeze Chloe's  hand

"3rd place is gratitude 124" he says

I smile we might do this!!

"You're 2nd place world champion today is make you mine number 128" he says

I frown I hoped we would win.

Paige goes up and gets the award

"Name your studio and choreographer" he says

"Abby Lee dance company" Paige says

Paige sits back down Abby is gonna freak

for solos
Nia didn't place
Maddie was second

Maddies solo was amazing i don't think i've won

but i need to win.

"The title of petite miss is Kayla!" the announcers says

i smile and i stand up and i get crowned with a banner

i hope Miss Abby is pleased.
