I won my seventh win and I know Miss Abby is very pleased with it

"look at you the first one in" Abby says as Asia walks in

"wow i love that you and your child is the first ones in the door"

"congratulations Asia it was your first time competing with the Abby Lee Dance Company and you were one of our big winners"

we clap for Asia

"alright how come four strangers that don't dance together on a daily basis that aren't taught by the same teacher come together and tell the story and connect with eachother?"

"you're all together every single day i didn't see that connection i don't think some of you don't wanna be here and i certainly don't think any of you work hard enough."

"the pyramid today..first Mackenzie, Mackenzie you're injured you didn't dance you stayed home."

"and next we have Brooke, you are fifteen years old we all made choices you wanna work hard you'll get better."

"next Chloe, Chloe you were apart of a trio that trio should've won it was second you fell out of the turns early you hit the floor before anybody else."

"and next Kendall, you were also apart of a trio that came in second."

"and now Maddie, Maddie you were apart of the trio too what went wrong? maybe start paying attention to this one she wins with jazz." Abby points to me

Maddie nods

"next Paige, Paige if i give you the responsibility to be part of the group number then work harder."

"and next i have Nia, Nia you've been flying under the radar you're here because your like switzerland."

"and next Asia, Asia you were one  of our big winners this is a reflection of your score not your legs or your feet those things all need a whole lot of attention, understood?"

Asia nods

"and on top of the pyramid is Kayla, i gave you a jazz solo and i wanted Asia to watch you and see how it's done and you did just that, this is the person you want to be straight legs, nice feet and a winner"

i smile

"Mackenzie what's wrong?" Abby asks

i look over to see Kenzie crying

"i feel dizzy." Kenzie says

"you feel dizzy? alright why don't you take a seat okay, you wanna keep that foot up." Abby says

and Kenzie sits down on the floor

"Mackenzie has to stay off of her foot and you were her opposite and now you don't have an opposite so what do i do with
Asia?"

"so you're going to come into the group you're going to learn it but i don't know if you're in it or not."

Asia nods

"we are doing a patriotic number called Free The People we have the conservatives and the imperials, now this week we are going to Philadelphia we are attending Powerhouse dance competition after last weekend i need to put my best foot forward this whole fair thing while trying to screw people around..no."

"obviously Asia you get another solo, the name of your solo is Ready For War"

"so Maddie you have another solo this week the name of your song is I'm Trying."

"Chloe you'll be doing a solo this week the name of your routine is Am I Here To Stay."

"and Kayla you have a solo entitled Gold Rush."

i smile

"alright moms you're dismissed girls spread apart let's warm up."

"so this is loosely based on the political system  everytime we go to a dance competition i hear people toss around the saying this is political oh well she's going to win because she always wins, well you know i guess politics is life because it is you know hey whatever it takes" Abby says

we start learning the group routine

and i do like the group this week

|Solo Rehearsals|

"your solo is called Gold Rush it's lyrical and you're up against Maddie which is an easy win for you but you have Chloe in the mix this week, she beat you at nationals you have to be amazing this week" Abby says

i nod and we learn my solo it's too the song Gold Rush by Taylor Swift and it's very pretty

"okay good, now remember politics isn't always fair.. especially in the dance world." Abby says

i stare at Abby

what does she mean?

i then nod

"thank you" i say as  i open the door to the dancers den

we are at my house and i'm watching a show and Kenzies on her ipad and Maddie is beside Kenz

the producers really wanted a scene here so there's cameras around which is annoying

"how's your foot?" Maddie asks Kenzie

"it's okay." Kenzie says

mom comes in sighing

"there's stuff all i've the floor there.. here honey." mom hands Kenzie water

"you have to do your homework girls." mom says to me and Maddie

"no i don't want too" Maddie says

"no." i whine

"i know but you're going to go to dance but yous have to have your homework done." mom says

"i know but can we not just go to dance early then i'll do that later?" Maddie asks

as i take my folder from my moms hands

"you can do it on the way." mom says

"you're the best!" i sing song as i start my homework

"i have Tracy coming over to talk to you guys for if we do the homeschooling you guys can dance more you know and do what you wanna do okay?" mom says

"okay." Kenzie nods

"wait so can i leave this and do it in the car?" i ask

"yes she just said that." Maddie says

"oh." i mumble

"you can do it in the car but you have to finish it." mom says

"i will." i say

the door bell then rings and mom goes to answer the door

"that's Tracy" mom says

mom lets tracy in and they sit down

"i explained to the girls that i spoke to you, you know about homeschooling them and i explained to them that they have to go to school everyday you know and that's the law." mom says

"yeah, with homeschooling you do everything that you would do in school all the same subjects

everything it's about four to five hours a day so you have extra time to do more things like dance." Tracy says

"they both wanna do it, you know Mackenzie wants to she wants to really step it up with her dancing." mom says

"but i'll miss my school friends." Kenzie says

"i know you have your best friend there huh?" mom says

"i suggest maybe um me and you going to a meeting with ikr of the councillors." Tracy says

"that sounds good so we are going to move forward, okay girls we gotta go get ready for dance, thank Tracy for coming." mom says

"thank you." me Maddie and Kenzie say

we get ready for dance and we head for the studio the car ride is boring me and Maddie were forced to do homework

we get to the studio and we head in for group rehearsals

"we are going to start the dance where we left off..i figured out what i'm going to do with you Asia i don't like to throw kids out the end of the numbers but i think this will be inspirational i think the audience will love it and i'm going to have you come running onto the stage with the American flag." Abby says

"now this is very important a flag is never supposed to touch the ground you need to be careful that it never touches the ground."

we start going over the group dance

Asia comes through with the flag

"come on chase her" Abby says as we chase Asia

maybe it's good i'm getting homeschooled i'm practically doing gym at dance

"now run so your grandete then keep going."

Asia runs across the room again with the flag

this time we are all in the room watching each other do it and i'm pretty nervous because Maddie and Chloe are very good dancers

i do my solo and we don't have music so it's hard keeping the counts and having my turns tight

i finish the routine

"okay good, Kayla why don't you go get a drink Maddie and Chloe go get a drink and Asia let me see this." Abby says

me Maddie and Chloe go into the dancers den to get a drink

"i'm so nervous" i say

"same" Chloe agrees

"i haven't been up against the both of you at the same time in ages." Maddie says

"and that's what's scary." i say

we head back into the studio A sit infront of the mirror

"Paige give her the flag so she can do it" Abby says and Paige hands Asia the flag

"when you go over her it needs to be vertical because Paige can't get it that quickly to change she wouldn't know how to just twist it around 90 degrees."

we go from the top of the routine

"chase her! go chase her!" Abby yells out

"KENDALL YOU'RE CHASING HER!" Abby yells

"Kendall when you chase someone should you be infront of them or behind them?"

"okay Kendall meet Asia you're going to chase her around this room when you get up you got behind her you fall in line behind her."

"i know but she was still doing her grandete when we rolled up." Kendall says

"i expect you to go into another room or the den and start working on that number every step of it go." Abby says

and Kendall walks out

we travel down to the competition and we head into the dressing room

"ooo! this is neat this is like dungeons and dragons" Jill says

mom starts helping me with my hair for the group

"i want you girls to be strong people should be on their feet cheering when they see that flag come out, save your tears for the pillow." Abby says

i start my makeup for the group

"Asia was crying in the dressing room the other night." Jill says

"not because i yelled at her." Abby says

"yeah because you never yell at her" Jill laughs

"Jill i can't believe you were tattle tailing on a seven year old." Abby says

"oh i didn't tattle take i wanted her mom to explain." Jill says

"Jill we all know who the crybaby on the team is." Abby says

"yeah well you keep reminding everybody." Jill says

"alright are we ready for our miss USA fashion show?" Abby says

Kaylas group costume with her hair in a bun with the bow at the back:

the girls strut out then i strut out

"wooo!" mom says

we start going over the group and working with the flag

we then head backstage to perform the group

"i think you have the best costume" Maddie says

"i know mine sparkly" i sing song the sparkly part

"entry number 74 junior small group here they are with Free The People" the announcer says

we all enter the stage and our music starts

i make sure to do my solo bit clean and everything clean because i'm in a sparkly costume i stand out the most

Asia runs out with the flag and we chase her

i do my ending turns into the ending pose

and we exit the stage

we head back to the dressing room

"come on let's go let's go." Abby says

"were you taught to do in class in rehearsal did we go over it?" Abby asks

Paige nods

"well but she hung it that way because if you looked at her when she was pulling it out she was holding it by the stripe she just held it the other way." Kelly says

"she learned what to do and she knew that she didn't get the blue stars in her right hand to pull it up, well let's hope they were watching miss sparkles over here we might win then" Abby says

we then start to get ready for the solos

Kaylas solo costume with the middle clip at the back of the bun:

"your costumes pretty." mom says as i come over to her

"thank you i really like it." i say

"alright girls we are gonna do something little different today everybody who will be sitting in the audience you will be voting on Maddie, Kayla or Chloe." Abby says

i look straight to my mom

"so you get to judge on the performance it's up to you to go in there and make a choice." Abby says

"what are you hoping to gain out of that?" Christi asks

"i want you to see that when you're judging many different things come into play." Abby says

we then head backstage to perform the solos and i'm really nervous i love Chloe and Maddie but i want to win the vote because that means the girls and moms see what Abby sees and i'm not just some favourite because my mom is friends with Abby

"are you guys been agaisnt eachother for a while?" Asia asks

"we used to compete like every week." Maddie says

"since like yeah first competition season we'd always have solos against eachother." Chloe says

"every week." Maddie says

"sometimes Chloe would be in a higher age category but for the overalls against each other." I say

"but me and Kayla have been always always head to head since we started competing." Maddie says

"taking the stage is entry number 15 here is Asia with ready for war." the announcer says

Asia enters the stage and she does her solo and she is a little firecracker onstage she is really talented she finishes her solo and exits the stage

i high five her

"you were amazing." i say

"good job" Maddie says and hugs her

"i wonder why Abby is doing that voting thing." Chloe says

"maybe because you guys haven't competed against eachother in a while they wanna see who's been working more harder." Asia says

"maybe." Maddie says

"or Abby wants to prove a point." i say

"like." Maddie asks

i just look at her because i don't want to say that Abby favours me and Maddie on camera because fans would go nuts that i admitted it. and the producers would tell the moms and Abby

"good luck, you're an incredible dancer show the girls and moms why they should vote for you why you are Chloe Lukasiak that the world loves" i say to Chloe and i hug her

"entry number 29 here's Chloe in with Am I Here To Stay" the announcer says

and Chloe enters the stage she performs her solo and it's beautiful she finishes her solo and exits the stage

"taking the stage we've got entry number 30 here's Maddie with Im Trying."

Maddie enters the stage and her solo is so pretty i really hope i can pull this off

Maddie finishes her solo and i get ready to go on

"you'll be amazing Kayla." Chloe hugs me

Maddie exits the stage

"taking the stage entry number 31 here's Kayla with Gold Rush." the announcer says

i enter the stage and i go into my starting pose and my music starts and i start my routine

i put a lot of emotion into this because i need this to be perfect i do my turns and leaps and i make eye contact with the girls and the judges and i finish off my solo the crowd cheers and i exit the stage

we enter the dressing room and Abby is cheering so that's good

"good job everybody." Kelly says

"good good good wonderful wonderful wonderful." Abby says as she hugs me Maddie Chloe and Asia

"Maddie, Kayla, Chloe you don't get to vote." Abby says

we nod and everyone puts their ballets into the box

"come on and out your vote in the box." Abby says

"put your ballets." Jill says

"there you go, thank you." Abby says

"we are going to keep these safe and sound and count these votes later but everybody back off, let's go for awards smile let's go." Abby says

"in third place entry number 72 be mine."

"second place entry number 74 Free The People."

i clap and Asia gets the award

Abby's going to be mad.

"in the petite solo division"

"third place entry number 12 get of the back end"

"second place is entry number 13 supercalifaglicstic"

"and first place entry number 15 Ready For War"

Asia goes up to get her award

"in the junior solo division."

i take Maddie and Chloe's hand

"third place entry number 29 Am I Here To Stay"

i let go of Chloe's hand and i clap for her while she gets up to her her award

i retake Maddies hand

"second place entry number 30 I'm Trying."

i clap for Maddie and she gets up to get her award

"and in first place entry number 31 Gold Rush"

i smile and i get up to get my award

i did it, i won again

"name and studio?" the announcer asks

"Kayla, Abby Lee Dance Company" i say

we take a bow and sit back down

after award we head to the dressing room

"we're going to count the ballets." Abby says and opens the box

"Maddie, Chloe, and Paige..? was that you? you wrote it you were just making and mokery of this." Abby says

"alright Kayla, Maddie, Kayla, Maddie, Kayla, Kayla, Kayla, Kayla." Abby calls out

"okay, one.. one, two, three and one, two, three, four, five, six..Kayla wins."

"now that's what your teammates thought take that sadness and put it into your dancing use more emotion."

i give a small smile

we soon leave the dressing room to get our costumes and makeup off

but then i hear..talking?

it's the girls?

"i didn't know everyone voted McKayla." Kendall mumbles

"we all said who we were voting for..right?" Nia asks

"i voted for Kayla." Brooke says

"so did i." Asia agrees

"oh no i know a lot of people voted for her..but some of us voted for Chloe aswell and she got one vote." Kendall says

"so are you saying someone changed the votes?" Chloe asks

"who would do that?" Kenzie asks

"if i had to guess..Abby she cheated for Kayla to win because if Chloe won it would defeat her whole purpose for this." Kendall says

"so she just read Kaylas name instead of mine?" Chloe asks

"maybe..or maybe she rewrote the names." Paige shrugs

"Kaylas the favourite what did you think she was gonna do? let Chloe win?" Maddie asks

"you're the favourite aswell." Nia says

"not the extent Kayla is, she would've been fine with me winning but no wonder she changed the votes to Kayla she wants the entirety of America to worship her." Maddie says

i turn and i head back to the dressing room door

Abby cheated for me?

i wipe tears that start to fall down

do they hate me now?

i enter the dressing room and the moms including Abby turn to me

"i thought you and the girls were getting makeup off?" mom asks

"uh-they..um, yeah they are." i shrug

"whys your makeup still on?" mom asks

they're talking about me.

"i'm just waiting for them to be finished with the makeup remover thats all." i say

"well here..go get your makeup off we have a bus soon." Abby hands me a bottle

"thank you." i mumble before leaving again

nothings fair in politics.
