this week Abby decided to let us back to her studio so i guess that's something..she's been all over the place probably because she has a risk of going to jail..

the moms go into the studio first while we wait in the dancers den stretching

"do you think Abby will stay?" JoJo asks

"we may hope because we are always switching studios" i say

"it's getting old" Kenzie says

"definitely" i agree

Jess then comes in and brings us for pyramid

"welcome everybody, how are you little ones doing?" Abby asks

"good" the minis say

"are the minis on the pyramid today?" Sari asks

"the minis are on the pyramid" Abby says

"Maddie is not here she's in New York City, i wasn't there last week i don't really care what happens i know i have four duets in"

"did you see any of the duets?" Ashlee asks

"actually i did, i saw the people who beat you..their nobodies..nobodies again we had a group routine i thought it was sloppy i thought it was a hot mess" Abby says

"well Abby, Ashlee had a problem with um Kendall and Brynn's duet it was one of the highest duet here in this room but it came in third and she's used to always winning so" Jill says

"i don't like to lose" Ashlee says

"no one likes to lose!" Jill says

"she wanted the harder part! i don't see what's wrong with going to a competition and wanting to win" Ashlee says

"no one said that" Jill says

"well if you don't wanna win you shouldn't go" Abby says

"exactly my point" Ashlee says

"okay let's move on, so girls pyramid" Abby says

"first at the bottom of the pyramid is Peyton, you need to wash out your mothers mouth with soap"

"next we have Ari, for the level of your dancing you should be able to pick up the choreography at that same level of expertise and you don't"

"next we have Alexus, you pick up well but nature isn't on your side it's the flexibility, the strength, the turnout all of those things you are lacking."

"and Alyssa, you pick up quick you're smart you aren't built like your mom right now that's not a problem someday it will be"

"moving up JoJo, i think that you welcome every genre of dance and i think that you enjoy learning new things it's not a bad thing where you are it's just what it is."

"well i'm not on the bottom bottom" JoJo says

"next we have Brynn, your legs are great, your leaps are great your acrobatic tricks are great, but you don't stack the dynamics of the music or the style of dance you're doing that's where you fall short" Abby says

"next Kendall, your duet third."

"next we have Nia..i'm gonna pull this off too because Kalani you were also in a duet with Nia, i think you both could've been stronger now Kalani you were a little more african than Nia."

my eyes widen

"Abby i would not go there i will say both girls were great" Holly says

"maybe i was shocked to see you do this style" Abby says

"i think that might be your issue." Holly says

"where it makes sense to you to do this." Abby says to Nia

"why because she's had three weeks of it this summer?" Holly asks

"no because she's african-american she looks the part" Abby says

"Abby! what does that have to do with anything? African-American does not mean we come form the continent of Africa." Holy says

"i know" Abby says

"we're Americans..this is ridiculous i think you've lost your mind anyone here who was watching that dance which you were not because you didn't show up to do your job" Holly says

"Nia i'm not trying to be offensive i'm trying to say i want you to work harder i want you to be the best you can possibly be and i don't even think you've touched on that yet" Abby says

"Kalani you weren't perfect did it surprise me what you did? yes, do i think you could be better? yes."

"next we have Kayla, you looked good in the group and the duet you did with Mackenzie was darling i thought you looked amazing in that so well done."

i smile and nod

"on top of the pyramid is Mackenzie."

we cheer for Kenzie

"Mackenzie you embraced the routine she had fun with it she's a performer and your duet with your sister i think you out danced her."

i smile to Kenzie

"this week we're going to Devotion to dance in Gora Hills, we have two group routines..you little minis over there your group will be performing a jazz routine entitled, Caveman Undercover" Abby says

"excuse me Miss Abby is there four or five minis" Sari asks

"i'm bringing in a fifth girl and she's late." Abby says

"now you guys you're doing a beautiful lyrical routine"

we all cheer

"wait wait we can't, Maddies not here" Kendall says

"um hello?" i turn to Kendall

"oh sorry we have Kayla it's alright" Kendall says

"i know Maddies not here but Brynn is..Brynn is taking the lead" Abby says

oh

i turn to my mom and she rolls her eyes

"the name of the piece is Better Off Now so Brynn if the group doesn't win it's your fault"

"that's what happens when you are the lead" Kenzie says

"trust me ask her mom it's never Brynns fault ever." Jill says

"i never said that" Ashlee says

"it will never be her fault" Jill says

"i never said that." Ashlee says

"you don't have to say it we know" Jill says

"we have a solo..Alyssa you'll be doing a solo this week" Abby says

we all clap for Alyssa

"it's sassy because you are sassy because that's what you do best and the name of your routine is Fever Rising it better be hot"

"so ladies it's time to get working"

"alright girls this is a lyrical routine" Abby says and she cheers

"and um Brynn the last time you were at The Abby Lee Dance Company you left..your mother chose to leave i had all these plans for you and you left so this is kinda like your anthem..Miss Abby said i was born to be a dancer i have what it takes and i'm gonna do it"

we learn the group routine and it's a very gorgeous routine

but i'm a bit sad Abby gave the lead to Brynn because i've been here longer

and it seems i'm only relevant to be the lead when Maddies here.

|Mini Group Rehearsals|
Abby has us helping out with the minis so we are demonstrating

"let's go tallest to smallest" Abby says

Abby puts them in height order

they then do it without us demonstrating

a mom and a little girl walks into the room

"hi i'm sorry to interrupt" the mom says

"really?" Abby says

"yeah i just" the mom starts

"no don't you teach your kid to be on time?" Abby asks

"we'd like for her to be able to dance if that's possible" the mom says

"i have like twelve thousand kids who wants to be in this group.." Abby says

Abby sends the mom and girl out..

ouch.

we go from the top of the routine

and i make sure everything i do is flawless because i wanna show Abby

i can still stand out even though i'm not the lead

|Competition Day|
we arrive at the competition and it's very quiet..

but we head to the dressing room and we do our makeup for the group

we then head backstage for Alyssas solo

Alyssa enters the stage and she's a incredible little dancer

i think she's nailing this solo

Alyssa finishes her solo and exits the stage

"good job!" i high five Alyssa and i give her a hug

we get ready for the group routine and then we head into the dressing room

group costume:

we run through the dance and Abby talks to Brynn

Abby then gives us a pep talk and basically saying Brynn might not stay when Maddie comes back

we go backstage and we mark through group

the minis enter for their group and their music is so cute

and i think the theme is appropriate for them

not like the dances i was doing at eight.

the minis finish their routine and i think they were cute

they exit the stage and i give them a high five

"coming up next we have entry number 15 team group lyrical Better Off Now" the announcer says

Brynn enters for the group first and gets in the starting position

Brynn starts off the group and we all enter

i make sure all my parts are flawless with gorgeous technique

we finish the group and we exit the stage

Alyssa placed second

and for mini groups

they placed first!

"our next division is teen group" the announcer says

"and in first place we have Better Off Now"

i beam and we get our award

we go back to the dressing room and we pack up and we head home!
