this week we are in Sydney Australia!!

"that flight was so long" i say

"i know" Kendall agrees

we go outside and the camera crew lines us girls up

"hi we're in Australia!" we all say

"we're so excited to be here" JoJo says

we do press and it's the coolest experience

"hi we got here we're in Australia" mom says on the phone

Abby explains that she lost her passport and literally every credit card

and she said she won't be here until Thursday

"with that being said i think we should just have Maddie do it." Abby says about the astra awards

"but i thought all the kids were invited to do it." Jill says

"show me your invitation" Abby says

"well where's Maddies invitation" Jill asks mom

"i don't have an invitation" mom says

Abby continues tell mom to not call her when she's with Holly

and she hangs up

we go and get a bus to our hotel

"its so pretty here" i say

"i know" Maddie says

i pull out my phone and i scroll on instagram and Maddie makes fun of my feed

"omg shush your feed isn't much better." i say

we arrive at the hotel and we check in then we head to the dance studio

we get into dance clothes and we start rehearsing the number

technically Maddie is the only one that should be performing but Abby somehow got all of us there too so we're like Maddies backup dancers

"let's all do that watch Nia" Gia says and we copy what Nia does

the moms comes in and then mom gets a phone call

"hi Abb" mom says

"i need to know what's going on" Abby says

"they're working on the dance right now." mom says

"the girls need to realise this could make or break them you know if they want a great reputation in Australia it's going to be by this show if i ever want to franchise there if i want to start my own dance competition i want people to say on my god her kids performed at the Astra Award this is a big deal" Abby says

"Abby you know that Jess has seen some bad press naming the moms, the kids specifically" Jill says

"well Jess maybe when you learn a little bit more about show business you'll understand that any press is good press when they spell your name right" Abby says

"keep telling yourself that" Jess says

"right now Maddie is not here there's no one in front of you so you have nobody to watch and i don't want you watch Kayla" Gia says

we go from the top of the routine

and i feel like Gia is relying on me today since Maddie isn't here

we walk into the venue and the stage is huge!

"oh my god!" i squeal

we go onstage for tech rehearsal and being on this stage is so cool like so cool

we run through the dance

"freeze, JoJo you and Kendall with the spacing today i don't know what's going on" Gia says

"there's no screw up there's no mess up you can't just be in the wrong spot"

Gia fixes us

"there we go..don't move" Gia says

and then Gia runs down to the moms

"it's so warm on this stage" i laugh

"i know" Maddie laughs

"uh girls let's run this through from your first mark" Gia says

we go from the part of the dance

we finish the dance and the moms clap

we go down for water and i take a drink

"ladies and girls my name is Andrew i'm the CEO of Astra i'll be fitting you into our schedule we're very excited to have you we're going to have a lot of um influential Australian producers from different shows Australian television" Andrew says

we go back to the venue for our final tech rehearsal and i'm nervous the awards are tonight!

Abby then walks into the building

"hi baby how are you?" Abby says and hugs Maddie

then she signals for me to come down

i quickly run down and hug Abby

"how are you babe?" Abby asks

"good." i smile

i go back onstage and Gia hugs Abby

we go from the top of the routine for Abby so i make sure everything i do is perfect

we finish the routine and the moms clap

"uh you think JoJos late three times or no?" Abby asks

"yes she was told that twice yesterday" Gia says

"okay you're late..Maddie your corrections when you're on this piece up here you really need to look backwards over your shoulder and take the crowd with you to the switch jete" Abby says

"Nia twice you're rolling down to the floor on one section completely flexing your foot" Abby says

"Maddie that's going to be a really big shot right there so you really need to smile and not breathe..you have to be perfect" Abby says

we are backstage getting ready for the red carpet and i'm so excited

Kaylas outfit:

"girls this is a great opportunity for you all to do the red carpet we're here at the Astra Awards in Australia which is a huge honour they know Sia they know the success of the chandelier video featuring Maddie and they wanted her to perform but as a manager to some of you i said of course she's going to be there but my other girls are in town too and i'd preferred if they all danced..are we ready?" Abby asks

we head out to the red carpet and i'm so excited

we walk down the carpet and we start taking photos

"and a Kiss" a guy says and we all blow a kiss at the camera

we move on and walk down the carpet

"welcome to Australia. Dance Moms has a huge following here!" a girl says

"i know it's crazy isn't it i think it's because of the huge number of dancers that you have and amazing dance teachers which is most important" Abby says

we take more photos with Abby and we continue on

"uh Maddie what was it like working with Sia? it's like blown up so crazy" a girl asks

"it was amazing to work with just a big celebrity like her" Maddie starts

and continue on and a lot of people ask Maddie questions

"girls it's so good to see you here can't wait to see you onstage" a girl says

we walk on this we strut down the pavement for cameras!

we come back into the dressing room and the moms cheer for us

"we met Giuliana Rancic!" Kendall says

"oh i hate you so much!" mom says

"HAH!" i say

we start getting ready for the performance

Kaylas costume:

"so girls you know this is a big deal..this could make or break The Abby Lee Dance Company in Australia i don't want to see any mistakes on that stage it's on television it's on film and you know what happens when people film things it lasts forever" Abby says

not like i forgot my solo on national television or anything but like okay

we run through the routine again and i'm so nervous

we head backstage

"i'm so nervous" i say

"you're fine you are going to be okay" Kalani whispers

"from Dance Moms please welcome the sensational Maddie and the girls from The Abby Lee Dance Company" the host says

we enter the stage and our music starts and we start the routine and i make sure my technique is absolutely flawless
and my facials are great

we finish the routine and i hit the floor and i just take a breath of relief

we exit the stage and head back to the dressing room and i take the biggest drink of water

"from my view in the wings JoJo you were late right at the beginning right off the bat the first few steps i couldn't really see Nia if you corrected" Abby says

"she did." Gia says

"she did good" Abby says

"Maddie don't be sad why are you sad?"Jill asks

"no i'm not i'm not" Maddie says

"you were amazing you are always amazing we're here because of you honey" Jill says

"yep you're amazing" mom agrees

"we wouldn't be here no need to be sad" Jill says

"she's not..she's fine" mom says

Maddie starts to cry and runs into the bathroom

"but she's not fine Melissa" Jill says

i get up and i follow Maddie into the bathroom

"Maddie it's fine you're fine" i whisper

"i messed it up" Maddie cries

"and? you couldn't even tell." i say

mom then comes into the bathroom

"you were great honey" mom says

"just get out of here" Maddie says

and mom leaves

"Kayla." Maddie says

"no i'm not going because if i leave you'll beat yourself up over it" i say

"McKayla! go!" Maddie huffs

"Madison i'm not going" i say

"whatever" Maddie wipes her eyes

"listen you can't be perfect all the time trust me i've been hearing Abby tell me i need to be perfect since i was like what eight?
she'll eventually learn you can't be perfect all the time because i'm sure not perfect all the time" I say

not a good end to the day..

today we are at the Zoo and it's a lot of fun

"give it this" i say and hand Kenzie food for the Kangaroo and she feeds it

we then run over and we take a picture with a koala bear

"it was so cute and fluffy!" i say

we go back outside and i sit down on the ledge

"so what's in store for our girls this week?" mom asks

"they are going to be learning a new routine to do in nashcase the big deal in Melbourne you know in a big movie buff and i love the movies and Australia as a lot of big movies stars so this would be our tribute to something that Americans find fascinating and that's the whole Mad Max franchise so the group routine is a Mad Max futuristic very strong forceful jazz routine" Abby says

"well where Kalani is she going to be i just noticed" mom says

"yeah she just took a day with her mom and they're going to look at the Koalas and do everything" Abby says

"um can i have a day?" Jill laughs

"well we are going to let everybody know we are going to pursue Nias performance in Melbourne" Holly says

"is Mickey here?" Jill asks

"yes i saw him last night yesterday" Holly says

"i hope you can make it in between your events and it would be great to have all the girls and Abby, Gianna including the moms we would love to have you it should be a lot of fun"

"we have a lot of events this week so i don't know" mom says

"i just wanna thank you guys for no more crazy videos surfacing about you talking about JoJo" Jess says

i make a face and look to Maddie

we didn't talk about JoJo?

"i want you and JoJo to know it wasn't malicious it was fun they felt they were including you in talking about you they would never mean to hurt your feelings" Jill says

OH the Ireland thing..we didn't make fun of JoJo

"the part of the video you didn't see was we love her so much and we said so many nice things about you and you didn't see that part" Maddie says

we walk away from the moms and we sit on the grass and get food

"i know how it is when you kinda say stuff you don't really mean and it just comes out" JoJo says

"yeah and your like our best friend now" Maddie says

"and we love you" Kendall says

"i take back all the stuff that i said and your my bro" Kendall says and hugs JoJo

"yeah and im sorry if we came off as rude and you got hurt we didn't mean it like that" i say

JoJo nods

we leave the Zoo and we head to our next stop rehearsals!

"hi everyone i made it all the way from LA to the land of aus" Mickey says and he hugs Holly

Mickey explains the event to Nia and JoJo is also going to be included

mom takes us into the rehearsal room and we meet Abby

i start stretching and warming up

we start learning the routine for the event

"MACKENZIE! if you want me to yell it ill yell it if you don't want me to yell fix it" Abby says

we go from the top of the routine

"that's beautiful Kayla" Gia says as i leap

Jess and Holly walks in and Maddie snaps for me to pay attention to the dance not the drama

we arrive at the rehearsal room and Kalani is here with us!

we start rehearsing Kalani into the dance

"do what Kaylas doing Kalani" Gia says

i help Kalani learn the group routine

"girls this is the second day of rehearsal Mad Max look at the intensity masculinity the anger the intimidation factor that's what i want i need to see intensity i need to see energy i need to see strength" Abby says

"Kalani are you all caught up on what you missed yesterday?" Abby asks

Kalani nods

"just a few theres on section i have to learn" Kalani says

"well pay attention you know don't be spacing today" Abby says

"Maddie, Kayla, Mackenzie and Kendall came to Australia last year and you held the koalas you did all that and Kalani just wanted a little more time there and i understand that"

"i just felt like i needed a day we needed a day to go do things" Kira says

"well could your day have been on your time and not on the kids time" Jill says

we start to rehearse and ignore Jill and Kiras bickering

"late Kalani late!" Abby calls out

and Abby just keeps correcting Kalani

then it comes onto us..fun

we arrive to the venue in Melbourne and it's so exciting

"it's crazy that this show is this big" i say

"i know i remember watching it for the first time and i fell in love with you girls" Kalani says

"like we were so young." Maddie says

"i didn't think it would ever get this big that i'd walk down the streets of Australia and get recognised like someone said oh my gosh your Kayla from Dance Moms like what" i say

"i know it's crazy" Kenzie says

we get ready for the performance and we go onstage behind the curtain and get into our starting positions

Kaylas costume:

"and representing the Abby Lee Dance Company please welcome Mad Max" Abby announces

the curtains open

and we that the routine opposite Kalani and we start the routine

i make sure my facials are great and everything is sharp

we finish the routine and i think we nailed it

we exit the stage and we hug Abby

"how does it feel to be in Australia?" Abby asks us

"good!" we all say

"alright i have to let them go change thank you" Abby says

we go backstage and we get changes into ALDC merchandise

we head to the meet and greet and we take photos with fans and it's so nice to see so much people loving us girls!

this Australia trip was AMAZING!

but the next stop for me is super exciting!!
