He was afraid, the coward, he was afraid to confront them. He'd thought about it, going over every little detail on nights he couldn't sleep, wondering if things would be better had he confronted them earlier. It was too late for that now, things had spiraled out of his control, hadn't they?

He's horrified to think about it, that they never truly cared for others and would switch the second a better offer arrived, to think about how flexible their morals were.
