Scott was still fighting the Beast in the library. He was injured severely finally began to slow him down considerably. He was thrown across the room was slammed against a bookshelf before landing hard on the floor, causing him to groan in pain as made contact with the linoleum.

Sydney gasped in horror and covered her mouth with her hand as another male student turned away from the fight, unable to watch any more violence.

Before Scott could even recover from the impact, the Beast grabbed him by the legs and yanked him backward, throwing him across the room once again. He flopped onto his back and landed on top of a table, smashing it into pieces with the force of his impact.

Scott, whose claws and fangs were still out, groaned loudly in agony as he tried to recover from the previous hit. After a moment, he used up all the energy he had to flip himself onto his stomach so he could get on all fours, cracking his neck in preparation as he watched the Beast stomp toward him. The Beast repeated the action as Scott growled under his breath and got into position before leaping into the air toward the Beast, his red eyes glowing red as he roared at the Beast, scaring the rest of the students who were hiding.

The Beast grabbed Scott by the neck before throwing into a bookshelf. Scott groaned and gently flipped himself onto his side, but was struggling to find the strength to get up to his feet. He heard the Beast slowly stalking toward him when suddenly, the other Beast arrived. Scott turned his head so he could see it enter. Scott frowned when he saw something in the shadows behind the Beasts. It turned out to be Liam, who leaped into the air behind the second Beast, causing Scott to scramble to get out of the way as Liam made it to the Beast's head and used both of his fists at once to punch him in the jaw.

Scott ducked on the stairs as Liam landed next to the staircase. He heard the sound of gunshots just as Braeden appeared and shot round after round at the Beast from her shotgun.

Malia rushed in behind her, her eyes glowing bright blue as she extended her fangs and roared at the Beasts as well. After both of the Beasts were hit with at least a dozen shotgun rounds each, they elected to flee rather than continue fighting and leaped through the wall of windows in the back of the library before they both took off.

FLASHBACKSNOWY WOODED AREA OF FRANCE, 1767

Marie-Jeanne was frantically running through the woods of France in just her white blouse and blue day-dress. Her right arm was bleeding through her sleeve from an injury she had gotten in the fight against her older brother and sister

Marie-Jeanne, still running for her life, turned back to see that Sebastien and Cassandra were now in human form and stalking her slowly several yards behind her, an arrow still stabbed into Sebastien's shoulder from a few moments earlier.

Marie-Jeanne suddenly tripped and landed in the snow and the two werewolves started to walk faster as he yanked the arrow out of his shoulder and threw it aside.

Marie-Jeanne scrambled frantically until she finally made it back on her feet and continued to run, "There's nowhere to run, little sister."

Marie-Jeanne was starting to get away when Sebastien began to turn,  his blazing blue eyes and sharp fangs out. Cassandra began to turn also, her eyes glowing green as she began her large grey beast form. The Beast ran behind Marie-Jeanne, and she broke into a sprint as they chased her before finally sliding onto a snow bank. She grabbed the pike that was a weapon against her siblings that she hid there earlier. She held it up, screaming at the top of her lungs as the Beast lunged for her and Sebastien impaled himself on the pike.

Marie-Jeanne resisted bursting into tears as the Beast slowly transformed back into Sebastien, who seemed unimpressed by his sister's actions, though the pain of the wound did bring him to his knees, so Marie-Jeanne can look at him at eye-level. Marie looked over at Cassandra, who was now kneeling on the ground as she felt the same effects that her brother was feeling.

They groaned in pain for a moment before Cassandra starts to laugh mockingly at her sister, "You really think this minor injury will stop us? We are the famous and feared Beasts of Gévaudan! And, when we're done killing, everyone will know. We will have done such horrors that all of history will remember our names."

Marie-Jeanne, absolutely disgusted by her sister's disregard for human life, simply sneered at him, "No one will remember."

Sebastien gasped in horror and anger when he realized what she was implying, "Damnatio memoriae? You would have them take our name?"

Cassandra looked as though she was about to hurt her, but suddenly, she and Sebastien began to cough and choke as blackened blood began to pour from both of their mouths, which shocked and confused them.

"What? What is this?" Sebastian asked in horror.

Marie-Jeanne scowled at both of them, "No ordinary steel-- wolfsbane and mountain ash, forged with our blood under the light of a full moon." Marie-Jeanne let go of the pike and leaned forward to whisper in their ears, "History might remember you, Sebastien, Cassandra... But only as beasts"

Marie quickly kissed both Cassandra and Sebastian on the forehead, just as they did the last time they spoke. Sebastien groaned and began to breathe heavily before he and Cassandra died. Both of their bodied collapses and falls sideways onto the snow-covered ground beside each other. Marie-Jeanne let out a deep sigh of relief that it was finally over.

After a moment walks around Sebastien's body, pulling the pike out of his chest. She tucked it under her arm before walking away, leaving her sister and brother's bloody body in the woods.

__________

Scott, who was still limping and covered in blood, seemed to be on a mission as he rushed through the halls and out the side door of the school.

Meanwhile, Liam, who was also covered in blood but seemed to be healed from his injuries, followed after him and tried to stop him with a worried expression on his face, "Scott, wait!"

Scott was panting for breath as he ignored him, pushing the side door open and heading toward the parking lot as he followed both the Beasts' scent. Liam followed behind him and continued to try and stop him, "You're hurt! You gotta slow down!

When Scott continued to go on without him, Liam sighed in frustration before he continued to follow after him. The two quickly walked through the rows of cars in the parking lot until Scott eventually stops behind a familiar-looking shiny black car.

Scott placed his hands on the trunk door and used up all the remaining strength he had to open it even though it was locked.

Once it was open, Liam and Scott gaped in shock when they saw that the trunk had nothing but a pair of black Converse high-top sneakers and a black high heels sitting inside. Scott and Liam shared a worried look before Scott picked up the high heels and Liam held the Converse, both of which had some blood smeared across the soles.

Scott looked at Liam anxiously, and their concern turned to horror when Scott shut the trunk door and found Veronica and Mason standing beside the car, looking at them confused, "Scott? What are you doing to my car?" Mason asked them.

"And why do you have my shoe?" Veronica questioned, "I've been looking for those pairs everywhere."

Scott and Liam realized at the same time that Mason and Veronica had been the Beasts' vessels the whole time. Liam looked absolutely devastated by both revelations, but Scott simply saddened when he realized he was right about Veronica, "It's you." Scott spoke up, "Both of you."

Mason didn't seem to know what he was talking about and only became more scared and concerned as he turned toward Liam to see he was still stunned speechless. Veronica, however, looked like she knew what was going,
"What? Liam, what's he talking about?" Mason asked his best friend.

"We're them, aren't we..." Veronica trialed off, causing Mason to look at her shocked.

Before anyone else could react further, Corey appeared out of thin air, revealing that he had used his supernatural ability to camouflage himself until this point.

He then rushed  toward both Veronica and Mason and placed his hand on both their shoulders and Scott realized what Corey was doing just a moment too late, "Corey, wait!" Scott shouted.

Veronica, Corey, and Mason vanished as Corey turned them invisible. Both Scott and Liam rushed after him, but they were unable to figure out where they went afterward, "Corey, wait!"

AN: I'm finally done with the episode thankfully.
