Spinning

Cyborg left to give Raven and Beast Boy some privacy to figure out what in the actual hell just happened. He knew they were close but they were definitely not ready for those feelings. He stepped into the medical wing to see Robin's eyes open and Starfire holding his hand.

"Hey man, you're up!" Cyborg shouted to which Robin mouthed out an exhausted "hey". Cyborg pulled up a chair next to Starfire and pulled his bed blanket down to his belly button to reveal the bandages. He gently tugged on the tape to peak at the stitches from his surgery last night. Cyborg gently pressed the bandages back down and got up to take Robin's temperature.

"97.5...That's so much better." Cyborg mumbled as he jotted it down in Robin's file. He switched out the empty IV bag and sat back down.

"You had a severe infection, I cleaned out the damage, and you're on a very heavy antibiotic. I'd guess some bit of the pain you were feeling was from that." Cyborg informed Robin, to which he nodded. "Can you speak?" Cyborg asked and Robin shook his head 'no'. "Well, welcome back!" Cyborg smiled, "I have some dirt for you two!" Cyborg continued with his ornery grin. "I gave Beast Boy an antidote and he was so happy, he accidentally kissed Raven!" Cyborg shouted to two wide-eyed titans.

"Raven, I'm so sorry!" Beast Boy shouted from outside her door. "It felt right Rae! Talk to me?" He spoke into the door.

"Go away." Raven spoke softly in her monotone voice from her room.

"No! Raven, talk to me! Try to tell me you don't feel anything!" Beast Boy shouted but was responded with silence.

On the other side of the door, Raven was standing there, with a small tear rolling down her cheek. Her powers had tossed the books around her room from the whirlwind of emotions going on in her mind.

"I need time." Raven whispered softly into the door.

"I've got all the time in the world, Rae." Beast Boy whispered back with his forehead pressed against the wood. "Just let me in, please." Beast Boy whispered softly before she opened the door. He saw her face hiding under her hood and then looked around at the tossed around reading materials.

"I can't put you in danger...I'm dangerous." Raven whispered, turning her body away from Beast Boy.

"Well, lucky for you, Danger is my middle name!" Beasts Boy joked with a cocked eyebrow. "And besides, we're all dangerous, Rae! That's what makes us able to handle each other." Beast Boy coaxed. He saw her shoulders relax but she kept her back to him.

"How do we do this?" She whispered softly, surrendering to the idea.

"Well, you could start by turning around and talking to me?" Beast Boy suggested softly which caused her to turn to him. Her face was hidden under her cloak but he knew she was crying. "What's wrong?" He whispered as he approached her.

Cyborg had left to get some sleep and Starfire was sleeping in the bed next to Robin. Robin was wide awake, with his thoughts racing at high speeds. 'Why couldn't he talk?' He pondered with his mouth gaping open from multiple attempts. Cyborg had inspected his throat and everything had looked fine. He even gave Robin some water to no avail. So far, the only thing Robin could control was his left hand and his face.

Robin started to spiral through his thoughts. He felt the time tick by as his mind grew more and more restless. He kept trying to move his body, from his toes to his right hand but nothing worked. Without realizing, his breathing started to race and panic set in. His chest felt tight and the room began to spin around him. He tried to stare at one spot in the ceiling to slow down the motion but all he could do was let out a silent scream in frustration. Eventually, he wore himself out and laid there, next to the sleeping Starfire, waiting for the room to stop spinning.
