🆘 Save Our Starfire 🆘

Beastboy was sitting in the park bench waiting for Starfire to grab her bag and return when he heard a scream...Starfire's scream to be exact. Beastboy transformed to a cheetah and ran back to the camp only to see Slade standing on a hovercraft with Starfire in a glass tube. Beastboy glanced over and saw an unfortunately familiar face driving the hovercraft. Beastboy's anger raged when Sam waved off Beastboy as he flew away. Beastboy changed into a pterodactyl and raced after them, only to be out paced by the hovercraft. He tried to follow but eventually lost the craft in between sky scrapers. Beastboy landed on a building and called over the communicator.

"Titans! Slade has Starfire!" Beastboy yelled before he ran out of breath from racing.

"What!? I thought she was at the camp? What happened??" Robin yelled back. No one had heard assertive Robin in a few weeks so this was a welcomed sound.

"She—she was!" Beast it started catching his breath. "She was at the camp and going to come home with me. We went for a walk and she went back for her backpack before we left. She screamed and I saw Slade and that Sam guy take her away in a hovercraft....I couldn't keep up." He explained sitting on the edge of the building.

Robin sat at his desk gripping his communicator. He was completely shocked by the turn of events. He sat for what felt like an eternity, until he realized everyone was waiting for him to make the call.

"Oh sorry—uh—Beastboy keep looking, the rest of us will join you ASAP!" Robin called back into the communicator. He walked out to the living room to wait for the others. He needed to talk to Cyborg and figure out the best way for him to search in his current condition. He couldn't run so grappling from building to building is probably off limits. He couldn't fly and the R-cycled is still toast. Raven and Cyborg rushed in to see Robin fully dressed in his uniform and ready to go.

"Welcome back Bird Brain!" Cyborg chuckles with a grin.

"Thanks." Robin mumbled, still unsure of the situation. "Any chance you've got the new R-cycle built yet? Robin asked hesitantly, knowing Cyborg hadn't had the time.

"No, but I do have something for you in the garage!" He said as he tossed the keys. "I didn't think you'd want a bike with your hip yet..." Cyborg explained.

"Thanks." Robin said with relief. "Okay now we need to find Starfire! She's tough but she could be in trouble, especially with Slade. We all have Beastboy's last visual location and the general direction they were heading in. We will fan out from there!" He said as the group broke off to their searches. Raven took to the sky and Cyborg lead Robin to the garage. Inside was a bright red Ferrari waiting for Robin. The car had definitely been battle modified for Robin's needs because there was a silver strip down the sides to disguise the weaponry.

"Wow! Cy, you didn't have to!" Robin complimented.

"Well, I needed something to bribe you back from quitting, didn't I?" Cyborg said with an ornery grin while hopping in the T-car.

"It sure worked." Robin mumbled to himself with a smile as they both took the underground tunnel through the lake and to the city.

The two took the tube and ended up searching in downtown Jump City. They saw Beastboy flying above and knew they hit the right location. He swooped down as Raven teleported through a portal. Cyborg and Robin pulled up shortly after.

"I think she might be in there." Raven spoke nonchalantly as she pointed at an old warehouse.

"Why does it always have to be a warehouse with Slade?" Beastboy snarked as Raven elbowed him in the ribs.

"Alright, Raven and Beastboy, sneak in side and come out with what you see. Cyborg and I will walk the perimeter to look at exits. We need to have a good idea with what we're up against, especially being down one and injured one."  Robin spoke as Beastboy morphed into a fly. Raven teleported in, leaving Cyborg with Robin.

"It can never be just a happy little swimming pool, or even just a park? Always gotta be some creepy warehouse!" Beastboy moaned in fly form behind Raven.

"What's wrong with creepy?" Raven retorted slightly offended.

"Oh! N-nothing! Unless you're evil or insane!" Beastboy stuttered trying time stay on task as he flew through the air ducts. Raven's shadow followed behind. Beastboy suddenly stopped at a vent and saw an unconscious Starfire belted to a surgery gurney. Sam stood in the corner, watching their friend with hungry eyes. The two ew out immediately knowing they had to get her out before something terrible happened.

Meanwhile

"Hey man, are you sure you're up for a battle? You can barely walk...?" Cyborg asked hesitantly as they began walking around the building, looking for a way in.

"I'm going to be more long range with my artillery and hope I can fight him off at a distance. Other than that, no I'm not sure." Robin spoke candidly knowing the risks he was about to take on.

"Okay, I'll keep you covered, man! Just be careful." Cyborg spoke before abruptly stopping to point out a basement crawl space door. They hurried back to the cars to find Beastboy and Raven.

"Guys, it's not good!" Beastboy's expression shocked said it all.
