Day Off

Raven woke up the next morning in her bed. Her black comforter was warm against her bare arms and legs. She emerged from the covers in a back silk tank and shorts with the cool air grabbing at her skin. She immediately wrapped herself up in her cloak before heading out for tea.

Heading back to her room, she decided to take the quick detour to the medical wing of the tower. She passed an exhausted Cyborg shuffling his way out of Robin's hospital room.

"Cyborg" Raven called out from behind her back.

"Yeah." Cyborg grunted as he stopped in his tracks.

"Take the day off...I'll cover for you." Raven muttered before walking into Robin's hospital room.

Cyborg stumbled into his room. He was so exhausted, both physically and mentally. He got used to sleeping in the bed he got for Bumble Bee so he stumbled over with a long extension chord from his workspace and clambered into bed. Cyborg wasn't one for sleeping but today was an exception. The second his head hit the pillow, he was asleep. Not the kind of sleep he was used to getting to recharge his batteries but the kind he got as a child before his accident.

Raven completed the first rounds of pain killers with Robin. He was unusually quiet this morning. Any answer he gave was a grunted "mmmhh" or "nope". Raven assumed it was just a part of the healing process for Robin but deep down she knew better. Raven left for her room to shower and change. She began meditating by the window and heard a knock at the door. She used her powers to open door for Beastboy. He sat on the floor next to her.

"Cyborg looks exhausted." Raven muttered with her eyes closed.

"Yeaaaah. He's getting some bags under his metal eye..." Beastboy said with a snicker until Raven levitated a book at the back of his head without opening her eyes. "Ouch!" He hollered in surprise.

Raven sighed as she lowered herself to her feet. She walked over to her bed, thinking things over in her head.

"Maybe he just needs to get laid?" Beastboy suggested preparing to get smacked.

"Gar, You might be into something..." Raven mumbled, "Can you call Bee for me? I think Cyborg needs a little normalcy." Raven left her room, already scheming her next steps with Robin as Beastboy stood speechless.

Raven sat down next to Robin's bed. He had his mask off today, which was unusual. His icy blue eyes looked dull as he watched her check his injuries. She used her magic to partially heal his broken ribs. She couldn't do it all at once but she could tackle small portions at a time.

"What's going on, Robin? I can feel you're different." Raven whispered.

"It's time for me to be Dick Grayson." He whispered in response.

"So you're giving up because you got your butt kicked." Raven snarked coldly as she turned to grab his charts.

"Raven, look at me! I'm done! I'm not meant to recover from this!" Robin raised his voice as he tried to sit up with a wince. Holding his chest, he glared at Raven's gaze.

"Robin could recover from this...if only Dick Greyson wasn't so lame." Raven smirked as she walked out of the hospital room knowing she'd won this interaction.

Cyborg heard a knock on his door and groaned. He clambered up, still hooked up to his cords and opened the door. His tired eyes couldn't believe what he saw. Bumblebee pushed Cyborg forward into his room and onto his bed.

"Hello Sparky!" Bee said with a grin as she snuggled in next to Cyborg. He grazed her cheek with his metal finger with a groggy smile.

"We're you actually asleep?" Bee asked feeling the puffiness under his human eye.

"Yeah, that hasn't happened in a loooong time." He said with a chuckle.

"Aaaand how was it?" She asked, still touching his face.

"Wonderful...it was nice to feel fully human again!" He said with a delighted smile. He sat up, unplugging himself looking down at her. He leaned forward, with his arms on both sides of her head. He bent down and kissed her on the forehead, then the nose, the lips, chin, neck, collarbone, and continued to travel downward. She smiled euphorically and closed her eyes.
