Flashbacks

Hello All! Most of this update is flashbacks to old episode with some of my own theory mixed in! Enjoy!!

The team walked on egg shells for a few days. No one knew what to say so the most appropriate answer seemed to be nothing at all. Beast Boy remained unconscious, Raven stayed locked in her room, Robin went off of the deep end with investigating leads with Starfire's help, which left Cyborg and Bumble Bee to care for Beast Boy. Cyborg was definitely lonely without Beast Boy to talk to but having Bumble Bee there helped out tremendously. Cyborg and Bee would take turns checking his vitals and taking care of tower operations. Cyborg and Bee were so in sync that it felt like she was a second Cyborg at times. Bumble Bee's work ethic was one of the things he admired about her the most.

Raven stayed locked away in her room, partially because she wasn't in the mood for socialization, but also because her powers were increasingly dangerous. She was reading about ways to poison the subconscious in an attempt to help Beast Boy but every flashback she had of the fight between her and Terra, something would explode in her room. Deep down, a small part of her was resentful of Beast Boy. Had he liked her, none of this would've ever happened, Terra would've never had the chance to betray them, and Beast Boy's heart would never have been broken. Looking up at the clock, it was 1:57am on a Saturday night. She knew it was safe to assume that the others were not in Beast Boy's hospital room so she teleported in to the dark room. She looked at him for the first time in three days. His face was so relaxed that he looked dead in the dim light. She crossed her legs and levitated over him to try another round of healing on him. She closed her eyes and chanted her famous mantra. Immediately, Raven was yanked from her body and pulled into Beast Boy's memories. She was on a Ferris wheel with Terra, in Beast Boy's body. She watched silently as the body she was in, eyed Terra and pointed out the fireworks to her. Terra breaks from the conversation.

"Beast Boy, if you were really my friend, I could tell you anything, and no matter how horrible it was, you'd still like me right?" Terra asked nervously.

"Yeah, I promise Terra. No matter what!" Raven felt Beast Boy lean in for a kiss but they were interrupted by Slade's voice behind them. Raven felt the chills run down Beast Boy's spine as he jumped. The memory flashed forward with a bright pulse of light. Raven was on her feet as Beast Boy, stumbling around in circles.

"Terra!?" Beast Boy yelled.

"The girl you knew was merely an illusion." Slade's voice boomed from the multiple reflections in the funhouse mirrors surrounding him. Raven flashed forward into a school hallway.

"Why can't things go back to the way they were?" Beast Boy pleaded at Terra who was standing in front of him. Raven stared into the face of Terra, clutching her books in a school uniform.

"Things were never the way you remember them, now just leave me alone." Terra scolded uncomfortably. Sweating, Beast Boy pulled a pager from his pocket and held it out. Raven could feel the hope, still alive in his chest.

"Here, take this. Incase you're in trouble, Incase you need me, you can call me anytime." Beast Boy pleaded.

"I don't need it!" Terra defended sternly, not breaking her ice cold demeanor.

"But--" Beast Boy started but she began to walk away. Raven felt his heart sink in his chest.

"Time's up." She mumbled as she walked away.

"Terra?" Beast Boy mumbled defeated but Terra stopped walking.

"Things change Beast Boy, The girl you want me to be is just a memory..." Terra said and Beast Boy pushed Raven ahead to another memory.

Raven was a bird, perched on a light pole. She could feel the crunch of the rust underneath her claws. She swooped down after a familiar blond head and landed behind her as Beast Boy. Terra spun around quickly with her hands up in defense.

"I told you to leave me alone!" Terra shouted at Beast Boy in the alley way.

"Terra, I know what you're doing. You don't have to work for him!" Beast Boy shouted back.

"You don't know anything, now leave me alone!" Terra shouted as her eyes glowed yellow.

"I know I love you, Terra! Always have, and always will!" Beast Boy growled with a ferocity that startled Raven. She felt his fists clench in rage as he internally felt his beast form gnawing at his insides for freedom. "You don't have to be with Slade! He doesn't really love you!" Beast Boy continued, "He's just using you!"

"And what do you know about love?" Terra laughed incredulously. "You are the most unwanted creature, I've ever met!" She shouted and Raven felt Beast Boy's stomach lurch at the insult. In a quick fit of blind rage, Beast Boy let out a growl but before he could transform, Terra pulled out a knife from her belt and flung it into his collar bone, forcing him to the ground with a pained cry. "Enjoy that knife, there's a little present left behind on the blade!" She said with a sickening laugh before running off. Beast Boy laid there with a feverish chill creeping over his body. He ripped the knife from his chest with a whine and he transformed into the Beast. Raven felt the power of the Beast's body overtake her. She, as the beast, limped back to the tower and crawled up to Beast Boy's window. The Beast curled up on the floor with a dizzying sickness taking over his body. Raven looked up to the ceiling  as Raven in Beast Boy, floated away in unconsciousness.

Raven woke up, levitating over Beast Boy's body. She reached up and felt the tears dripping down from her eyes and immediately teleported back to her room.
