The scent of Riley's perfume lures Mason out of the comfort of her own bed. She had spent the last twenty minutes laying around and rolling over while Riley had taken herself to the bathroom to freshen up. There's a lingering silence around the house that alarms her. She isn't sure if whether the quiet is peaceful or concerning. After all, she's not home alone.

Mason hurries down the hall to the guest bedroom where she had sent her cousins to (forcefully) sleep in after Riley had agreed to sleep over. She opens the bedroom door to find Renz and Mika cuddled up in the queen sized bed. The youngest of the three laughs as she pulls out her phone to take a picture of the moment that unravels before her. A perfect addition to her photo album for blackmail (a joke). Mason hurriedly takes a few snaps before tucking her phone away in her pocket when Renz groans.

She waits a mere moment before turning away and letting the two to continue with their rest. It'll most likely be one of the rarest opportunities for the two to earn a full nights rest where possible—it's inevitable now that Mika had entered her first year residency and Renz continuously flying in and around the globe for her modelling career. Mason felt like the two deserved to sleep in as much as they could.

The sound of Riley humming away lures her into the bathroom with an absolute quickness. The older girl is stood in front of the mirror. Her black hair is tied into a high pony. She's wearing Mason's hoodie and a pair of bike shorts.

Mason smiles as Riley catches her gaze in the mirror. "Hey, sleeping beauty."

The younger rolls her eyes and wraps her arms around Riley like they're two magnets automatically attracted to each other. Inseparable would be an understatement.

"Just sleeping." Mason placed her chin on Riley's shoulder. "No beauty here." She points to her bare face, earning a look from the latter.

Riley shakes her head as she turns around to face Mason directly. They're pressed against each other closely, leaving no room for space.

"Shut up." She flicks Mason's forehead.

"Ow, that hurt." Mason placed a palm over her forehead as she creased her brows.

"Good." Riley uttered.

"How is that any good?" Mason questioned.

"So you can get it into your head." Riley replied.

The latter takes Mason's hand away from over her forehead and presses a gentle kiss on the area that she flicked with her finger.

"I think you might've engraved it in there already," Mason admitted. "But just in case why don't you kiss it once more. You know...to seal it. Can't let it fall out now can you." There's a grin that forms slowly on Mason's lips.

Riley does what she's told which results in a wide grin on Mason's face that becomes more evident as seconds pass. "You just wanted me to kiss you." Riley added. "That's all you wanted right?"

Mason closed her eyes shut and pouts her lips with an obvious want in mind. "Do it here too."

Riley rolled her eyes and laughed. "Right. To seal it or whatever?" She questioned as she played along with whatever it was that Mason wanted. The oldest was happy with giving whatever the younger wanted. Riley was very soft with her.

She takes Mason by the waist and pulls her closer. Mason shrieks at the sudden action initiated by the taller one. She'll never admit it but she might not ever get used to the way that Riley brings her forward whenever they kiss.

It's when their lips finally meet for the first time that morning that had Mason feeling like she could run for presidency or land on the moon. She smiles against the kiss and leans forward. Even with no space in between them there was something about Riley that she couldn't seem to understand—she wanted to be closer. There's no space left between them, their bodies pressed against each other as they kiss and kiss again.

The youngest pulls away when she hears Renz heavy footsteps trudge down the hall. Mason panics and moves back several steps only for Riley to reel her back in and kiss her again,

this time, a lot more passionately.

Mason's shoulders drop and she once again finds herself drowning in Riley's warmth, dying to get as close as possible. "Riley..."

Riley smiles against their kiss before pulling away and giggling like a little kid. Mason's lips part from shock. Why is Riley such a good kisser? This needs to be properly studied Mason thought to herself. I might explode soon.

Renz leans against the door frame and folds her arms. "I knew I heard something zesty."

The model stands prettily by the door. Her bare face would send most people into a coma. How could one look so pretty right as they wake up?

Renz ruffles her hair and yawns as Mason turns to face her cousin. "How is that zesty?"

The brunette moves forward slightly, motioning to the particular hand placements that caught her eye since she found the two alone in the bathroom. "Is this not zesty?" She questioned.

Mason looked down to where Renz had been pointing. Riley's hands were glued to her waist. The couple were once again glued to each other like two magnets unable to falter.

Mason scratches her head. "I think we should make breakfast. I'm quite hungry." She announced suddenly. The two in between her laugh. "What? It's the most important mean of the day." Mason added, picking up her toothbrush. "I was thinking pancakes?"

Mika joins the three of them after a couple minutes. The four are all huddled up in the bathroom like it's a party. "What time is it?"

Her hair is tied up into a messy bun. Mika had lines all over her face and arms, indicating a good rest, and a much needed one at that.

"Time for you to look like a human being and less like an extra for All of Us Are Dead." Renz blurted. Her teasing commentary earns a used tissue thrown at her face making her yell.

"Bro that's disgusting!" Renz remarked.

Mika walked over to the sink and shrugged her shoulders. "Good morning." She presses a kiss on Mason's head. "Did the two of you sleep ok?"

Mason nods her head in response. "We did. Thanks Mika." The younger smiled.

"Was everything all right with you Riley?" Mika added while grabbing her toothbrush.

"It was." Riley replied. "Thank you for asking, Mika. To be fair... it's always great when I'm over. I have no complaints." She explained.

Mika pats her on the back and starts brushing her teeth. "I'll make breakfast after this."

The afternoon comes around quickly after a late breakfast. The four had done a team effort by cooking and cleaning together to speed things up.

The dining area had been cleaned and everything else had been washed and put back in its place.

Renz found comfort in the living room. She has a bowl of popcorn sitting in between her legs as she begins watching the first episode of the second season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, a Conrad advocate through and through.

Mika walks through to the dining area once more to double check that everything had been cleaned or put away. When she finds the table in pristine condition she turns away happily and joins Renz on the couch to watch the series.

"Conrad is really good looking." Mika sighed. "If he were real I'd be fighting Belly for him. Constantly." She stated. "He's so perfect."

Mason could only sit and laugh at the sight of her cousins swooning over the tall brown headed boy that takes over the screen in the living room.

Mason too was a Conrad advocate in this household. She would say that Riley's only other flaw would be her stance on Belly's choice.

The series had drawn a fine line between the two Fisher brothers. Mason had always been a Conrad girl. Meanwhile, her girlfriend stands on the other side of that line—for Jeremiah.

"Jeremiah doesn't make sense to me." Mason commented. Riley's back pack is slung across one of her shoulders. "You need to switch teams."

Riley moves towards the door and shakes her head. "I can't switch that easily, love."

Mason took a deep breath. "I'll have to convince you somehow." She thought. "Maybe tomorrow."
The youngest opens the door and follows Riley outside. The warmth of the sun meets her skin.

'For Belly, Conrad is the sun.'

Mason could relate to that line in particular. To her, Riley is the sun. Her sun. There's something about Conrad that lures her in constantly. Whatever he may do, Mason follows and her heart stays. The thought of Conrad being merely nothing less than a fictional character is what makes the situation somewhat funny to Mason.

If the idea of a character makes her feel that way, what does that say about the character in question? No matter what Conrad does, Mason will aways stand with him. She's always going to root for Conrad. No matter what happens.

But perhaps, in a much deeper and realer sense,

She can relate to that too. In a person, who through and through, is real and exists in her universe. Mason would follow Riley to the ends of the Earth. In some way, Mason finds that she's more like Belly than she first initially thought.

There's no one like Conrad for Belly. And for Mason, there's no one like Riley. The parallels sink deep within her mind. Belly would do anything for Conrad. It's always been Conrad and forever will be. She was destined for Conrad.

And maybe,

Riley is destined for Mason too. In the same way that Conrad is to Belly. Riley will always be the one that Mason chooses. In every life time and in every universe that exists. It'll be Riley.

Her love for the latter is incomparable to anything else. Aside from her family, their is no one that she could love more than Riley.

Riley will forever consume the deepest parts of Mason. It may even be that Riley had finally taken over every fibre of Mason's being.

Riley takes her belongings from Mason and smiles widely. "I have to get going. Thank you for letting me stay the night and for everything."

Mason could only smile back in return. The night had turned to be one of her favourite memories. "I'm glad you stayed the night. I'm also glad that you met them and you guys got along really well."

Riley planted a soft kiss on Mason's cheek. "I'm glad I met them too baby. It was really great."

Mason's cheeks flushed. "Riley..."

The latter raises a brow. "Yes, love?"

"Can you say it?" Mason asked.

"Can I say what my love?" Riley wondered.

Mason lowers her head shyly before she speaks. "I wanna hear you say that I'm yours." Her cheeks are redder than a mere moment ago.

Riley releases a soft chuckle and lifts Mason's head up with her fingers. "I'm yours, Maisie. I always am. Is that what you wanted to hear?"

Mason hides her face behind her hands and nods in response. "Yeah..."

The oldest pulls Mason's hands away from her face and smiles. "You're really cute."

Mason turns her face shyly and faces away from her girlfriend. "Shush I'm getting all red."

There was a sense of adoration that Riley had for the younger one. There was also a pure profound love and a state of happiness that continually washes over her whenever they're together.

It's the type of feeling that she gets whenever they stand in each other's presence. In fact, it's the feeling she only gets when it's Mason.

She's like Jeremiah in a way.

No matter how many people press their eyes upon her, there will always be Mason in her own eyes. It didn't matter who wanted Riley. Because for Riley, the only one that ever truly matters,

is Mason.
