Mason ambled along across the wet path on her way back to her Sedan. The downpour had left the girl stranded at Ready-to-Bloom for over ten minutes. Mason was ready to make a run for it, determined to get back to Riley. The latter however had different plans for her girlfriend.

A pouting Riley begged her to wait for the rain to ease so she wouldn't get hurt. What else would Mason be if not obedient to her girlfriend and her girlfriends wishes? If she was obliged to stay...

that's exactly what Mason would do.

She could see Andy trudging along with a brown paper bag in hand and a drink in the other.

Riley is sat in the passengers seat. She scrolls through her FYP with full focus—almost completely unaware of the two girls making their way back to her—bearing gifts.

Mason unlocks her Sedan and hops into the driver's seat with a bouquet of white and pink tulips. "Those are beautiful." Riley exclaimed. "Who are they for?" Her brows quirked.

Mason leans back in surprise and tilts her head slightly. "Please be so for real right now."

Riley looked at her with soft eyes. "I'm being for real, Maisie. Who are they for?"

Mason scratches her head and hands her the bouquet. "For my love." She smiled.

Riley takes the flowers and smiles widely. "Baby, is that why you followed Andy out of the car? You went to get me flowers?" She looks at the pink and white tulips. They were beautiful. Just like Riley. "It's not a special occasion though?"

The youngest takes Riley's hands in her own. "I don't need a special occasion to buy my girlfriend flowers, Riley. It's just a small thing that I wanted to do. I like seeing you happy, baby."

The brunette leans forward and kisses Mason's soft pink lips. "Mmm. Well I am happy." Riley answered. "You make me feel that way every day. That's why I'm the luckiest girl there is."

Their foreheads are pressed together. "I'm the luckiest because I get to have you." Mason smiled back. "And I'm happier knowing that you feel that way. I want you to know that I feel happy every day too. Your existence alone makes up for why I wake up with the utmost excitement. And that's coming from the girl who is not a morning person." The two giggle simultaneously. "I don't care how far I have to travel." Mason points to the book perched on Riley's lap. "If even the little things matter...I won't ever push it aside or turn a blind eye to it. I would travel anywhere if it meant I could get you a book you really want or buy you flowers for no special occasion. I love you and that's enough for me to want to do these things. I'm happy if you are. That's all."

Riley presses a soft kiss on Mason's forehead. "Every day I thank my lucky stars for you, Maisie. And every day they give me a reason to be thankful for them. Those stars have never let me down...especially when it comes to you."

Mason smiles. "It's like what we both say...the universe conspired us to be together."

Riley nods and leans forward once again. Her lips collide with the softness of Mason's. She tastes like strawberries and hot chocolate.

The sound of the car door opening behind them causes the two to seperate with haste. Andy hops into the back seat with an apologetic smile. "I'm so sorry I feel like I came at a bad time?"

Mason ushers her to come in. "No, not at all. At least you weren't here any earlier." She chuckled.

Andy tilts her head slightly and nods, "Aha, well to be honest I should be the one saying sorry." She passes a drink to Mason. "I'm so sorry for keeping you long. I went to grab you a drink as a token of appreciation. For being nice to me and...for letting me join you." She hands Riley the brown paper bag. "Choc muffin. Your fave."

The three buckle in their seat belts. "I think Mika's cooking up a storm at home so I think we'll be all set." Mason turns to Riley as she turns on the car engine. "Is there anything else you want for dinner?" The youngest lays her hand over Riley's hand which sits in her lap.

"Driving with one hand?" Riley questioned.

"I asked about dinner, baby love."

Andy sits in the back seat—simply watching as she eats her blueberry muffin quietly.

"I know that but you're driving with one hand."

Mason's lips form into a devilish grin. "I found out that you like it when I drive this way..." The girl beside her blushes softly. "So I'll be driving with one hand. Just for now." She smiled.

Andy feels like she's witnessing something that she shouldn't be. All she does is swallow the muffin she's been chewing since they started driving off from the side street.

"How did you find that out..." Riley wondered.

"That's for me to know and you to find out." Mason chuckled proudly. "Seriously, is there anything you want for dinner? I can get Renz to pick something up while she's at the store."

Riley shakes her head. "I'll be happy with whatever Mika serves us. I'm just grateful to be spending time with you and the girls again. And Andy too." Riley smiled.

Mason squeezes Riley's hand. "The girls are super stoked that you're coming over again."

Andy realises how close the couple are. She could tell from the small gestures to the longing gazes. Even the mere fact that Riley had already met part of Mason's extended family was enough.

Witnessing her best friend like this was almost like watching something foreign. Andy was not used to it—but it was a sight that was somewhat comforting in a way.

All she wishes for is Riley's happiness after all.
