The mountain air, crisp and invigorating, swirled around Katsuki and Kariage like a dance of unseen spirits. Each inhalation felt like a taste of the untamed wilderness, a symphony of pine and earth. The sun, a molten orb of warmth and farewell, dipped below the skyline, casting hues of fiery amber and soft lavender across the expansive canvas of the sky. As the duo ascended the rugged cliffside, the glow of the setting sun painted the world in hues of honey and rose, transforming the jagged rocks into ethereal sculptures.

The climb, a test of both physical and emotional endurance, left Katsuki's body pulsating with a heady mix of exhilaration and fatigue. His relentless determination, a beacon driving them forward, manifested in each purposeful step. Kariage, trailing behind, bore the marks of the journey on his face—a testament to the shared challenges etched into the lines of exhaustion. Yet, his eyes sparkled with an inner radiance, a pure joy born not from conquering the mountain but from embracing the journey itself.

Upon reaching the summit, the expansive plateau spread before them like a tapestry of untold stories. Katsuki, overcome with a sense of triumph, dropped his backpack with a thud that echoed through the mountain's silence. "About damn time," he muttered, wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.

Kariage chuckled, his laughter echoing off the rocky walls. Leaning on his trekking pole, he replied, "You're just lucky I didn't leave you behind."

A glance passed between them, laden with the unspoken understanding that transcended the fatigue of their bodies. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," Katsuki retorted, the ghost of a smile playing on his lips. "Let's set up camp. We've got a damn good view here."

The makeshift campsite took shape, a haven amidst the rugged grandeur of the mountain. The whispers of the wind, the rustle of leaves, and the distant murmur of a babbling brook merged into a symphony of nature's song. The sun, now a luminous sphere of pink and gold, descended lower on the horizon, painting the sky in a kaleidoscope of colors that mirrored the tapestry beneath.

"Look at that sunset," Kariage remarked, his voice hushed in reverence as he beheld the breathtaking display.

Katsuki, momentarily halting the arrangement of camping gear, allowed his eyes to follow Kariage's gaze. The realization, a quiet epiphany, flashed in his mind. Retrieving a small, velvet-lined box from his pocket with a sly grin, he said, "Hey, Kari."

Kariage turned toward him, his eyes reflecting surprise and curiosity. "What's up, Katsuki?"

Without missing a beat, Katsuki dropped to one knee on the rocky summit, the rough stones pressing against his leg. He presented an elegant diamond ring, a testament to the trials and triumphs of their ascent. "We've been hiking up this damn mountain for days, and you know what? It's been special. So...you better make it even more special by saying yes."

Kariage's eyes widened, a gasp catching in his throat. Tears welled up, emotions cascading like a waterfall down the cliffs of his soul. For a fleeting moment, Katsuki, usually oblivious to sentimentality, felt a surge of concern.

"Hey, Kari, don't go crying on me. What the hell?" Katsuki muttered, his expression a mix of confusion and worry as he looked up at his partner; the person who stuck with him through thick and thin.

But Kariage's tears morphed into laughter—a symphony of joy that resonated with the heartbeat of the mountain. "Happy tears, Katsuki. These are happy tears." He snickered at Katsuki's confused face.

Relief washed over Katsuki's features, and he stood up, pulling Kariage into an embrace. Their foreheads pressed together, a moment suspended in the sacred silence of the summit. The weight of the proposal, the symbol of commitment, lingered in the mountain air—a promise etched into the very stones beneath their feet.

As they pulled away, Katsuki and Kariage turned their attention to the horizon. The sun, now a radiant sphere of brilliance, dipped below the mountain peaks, casting a warm, ethereal glow over the landscape. The engagement ring sparkled on Kariage's finger, a tiny constellation of hope against the vast canvas of the universe.

In the quiet embrace of the mountain summit, with the ever-changing tapestry of the sky above, Katsuki and Kariage stood side by side. Their hands, now entwined, bore witness to the beginning of a new chapter in their lives—a chapter written against the backdrop of a mountain sunset, where the journey and the destination converged into a singular, unforgettable moment.

Yes it's a little short but I'm lazy lol.

I plan to stop writing this fic because it's quite long already and I think it's time to say goodbye. It's been a wonderful journey and I loved every step of it, writing is my way of leaving reality behind for a bit. I really do hope people enjoyed reading my little stories and I cherished all the comments and votes.
