Time Period: Middle School, before the two date

Katsuki was suspicious. Well, to be fair, he himself was behaving awfully suspicious at the moment but that didn't matter. 

He felt suspicious about Kariage's odd and..less than legal request.

Speaking of Kariage... Katsuki had mixed feelings on the boy. He wasn't exactly a law-abiding citizen but it's not like he went out at midnight to murder someone. Yet at the same time, Katsuki couldn't help but feel so drawn to him. It's stupid. But Katsuki found comfort in Kariage's  toothy grin and the way his eyes crinkled when he was thinking hard about a dumb math question or even the way he behaved around Katsuki.

God. Feelings really suck, huh?

Katsuki trusted Kariage; he really did, but this was.. a different situation. Normally, Katsuki would trust whatever the heck Kariage said if it was believable enough. But again, this was a completely different situation.

It's a also kind of hard to explain situation.

The loud skid from Katsuki's shoe on the floor snapped his brain back to reality. Thankfully nobody else was there to hear, see or notice that small embarrassing moment of his, Katsuki thought as he straightened his posture a bit. It was his pathetic attempt to regain some dignity..

Mitsuki would've killed him if she knew he was at school, and she definitely would've knocked his head right off if she knew it was currently 1AM.

But she doesn't know so it's fine. It's perfectly fine as long as everything goes according to the non-existent plan of Katsuki's.

Such is the life of being the one and only Katsuki Bakugou.

Katsuki panted a slight bit before resting his hand on the door knob. Running up multiple flights of stairs is not that easy y'know. You can't expect him to not be tired after that shit.

He smoothed down his clothes; he had to look somewhat presentable at least.

Taking a deep breath, Katsuki swung open the door with the most casualness he could muster. If anything, he hoped for it to not get awkward.

When Katsuki walked out onto the roof, he immediately felt cold and immediately thanked himself for choosing to wear a nice warm hoodie. The soft and gentle breeze was a constant and kept pushing cold air towards Katsuki, and if you couldn't fucking tell, it was really annoying.

"There you are. It sure took you a while!" The familiar voice of Kariage called. The only odd thing was the tiredness that was evident in his voice. "I almost thought you fell over and died!"

Katsuki rolled his eyes before walking to the edge of the roof and flopping his legs down the sides next to Kariage. "You wish." He scoffed back.

"Mhm." Kariage sighed, coughing softly. He whipped out another pack of cigarettes and waved one out...he gestured the butt of it and then to Katsuki's hands.

"You want me to fucking-" Katsuki frowned a tad bit after pausing for a second or two, "-fucking light your cig?"

Kariage only sighed dramatically, "Of course I do! It's the least you can do for me, seeing how you rarely ever smoke with me. Plus, look at the nice view! You wouldn't of seen this beautiful view if it wasn't for me—"

Katsuki grumbled under his breath before lighting the tip of the filthy cigarette with a small explosion, "You owe me. I'm not your personal lighter; I don't even have a fire quirk, moron." He smiled softly.

He turned his eyes to the sky. It was honestly breathtaking. The sky was amazingly clear, and you could see hundreds of small specks of light peeking through the darkness. The lights blooming from buildings only added onto the mystical feeling.

Before Katsuki could mention a thing about the sky, Kariage pulled him in closer. Their shoulders were touching.

And no, Katsuki did not go red again because of that, okay? 100%.
