Katsuki tugged his hand again, the leather cool against his skin. It was a hot day and Katsuki had to admit, he hated it. While he didn't exactly like the cold, he didn't like the heat either. Heat = Sweat = Nitroglycerin. If your dumbass didn't know, that stuff was toxic.

Again, he tugged the leather. Katsuki's couldn't believe he was actually doing this for that idiot. God knows he doesn't deserve it...but at the same time, he kinda does.

Fuck it.

"C'mon bud. Almost there, stupid mutt." Katsuki muttered under his breath. Why was he doing this again? Oh yeah. It was Kariage's birthday.

Yeah, sure, birthdays aren't really that important..but Kariage was important to him. And Kariage did so much amazing shit on Katsuki's b'day; this was a payback. Besides, it's not like it's a sudden random surprise. They'd talked about this before, so it was fine.

The shabby old house was just a block away. It took quite a fucking lot for Katsuki to not groan aloud and slap his fingers into his eyeballs. The stupid glowing ball of heat and light in the sky was awfully annoying today.

"Woof."

He rolled his eyes, "What now?" He questioned, slowing down and pausing to stare at the big husky next to him.

The said dog only seemed to shrug its little furry shoulders.

"Bitch." Katsuki scoffed, pushing the dog with his leg just a slight bit. The stupid bitch was so clingy, fluffy, sweet, nice and adorable—

No, he wasn't going soft on a dog.

But all in all, Katsuki was grateful to even be able to get such a dog. Gripping the leather leash just a tad tighter, he sped up. It was almost 1:49PM, the exact time when Kariage was born. There was no way in hell Katsuki was gonna be late with the gift.

Honestly, he had no idea why he was even doing this. Ugh. Love actually does make you do stupid things. The Doormat of a Dad was right about that saying, "When you find the one that you truly love, you'd be surprised at what lengths you'd go for them."

Whatever. Screw those mushy feelings! On the other side, Katsuki got another part-time job...he was now a waiter at Karen's Diner — what a shock, huh?

"Woof." The dog, a Doberman for your information, barked again. What did this bitch want?

Scowling, Katsuki stopped to look at the dog. "What now?" At least now he could call someone a bitch without being yelled at because the dog was a literal female dog.

Then, of course, the dog just did nothing. No shit, the dog just sat down.

"A cat would've behaved better than you. Mutt." He muttered under his breath. Almost as if those words triggered the dog, she sat up and began to drag Katsuki towards the house. "Hah?" He huffed.

Like any normal teen would, Katsuki took his phone out and just scrolled through shit while walking. If he was being honest, the walk was pretty relaxing. And nobody seemed to want to even talk to Katsuki — probably because of the big Doberman walking by him. Did he mention that the bitch was a trained dog?

Yeah. Not exactly cheap. Though it wasn't over ¥765 because he may of gone to a slightly illegal place. That place doesn't mistreat animals though, so shut up.

"Woof." The dog barked again. Right when they were on a streak for not being annoying.. great. Glancing up, Katsuki paused. As a look of shock took over, Katsuki's ears pinked.

The dumbass dog stopped him at Kariage's house.

"Ugh. Good dog, I guess." He leaned down and gave the dog a small head ruffle. Before you ask, yes, Katsuki is a dog person. But cats are pretty chill too! Every time he tells anyone he's a dog person, they assume he hates cats. Like the fuck?

Stepping up, he slammed his knuckles onto the dying wooden door. It was a miracle the damn door hadn't fallen apart already.

"Yes?" The door swung open and Katsuki checked the time. 1:49PM, exactly. Ain't that perfect? "Oh, hi, Kat. Who's this?" The tired voice of a certain black haired idiot spoke up.

"Idiot. Happy birthday...and this is your surprise bitch. Literally."
