The Sports Festival; AFTERMATH

The sports festival was pretty fucked up. So here's Kariage comforting Katsuki after it <3

_______

Katsuki felt terrible. That was an understatement.

He could still feel the ghost of harsh metal jutting into his skin and hands. The pure adrenaline and fear that ran through him during the whole ordeal was probably the only thing that stopped Katsuki from having a mental breakdown.

If he was being honest, he kept getting these flashbacks from the stupid sludge villain. Katsuki could've sworn he'd felt sludge crawl up into his mouth. That made him panic, so much. He couldn't afford to be attacked like that.

It was just like the sludge villain, though. The Pros watching and doing nothing. Bystanders simply watching. And this time, Deku wasn't going to save him — not that he'd ever needed his fucking saving.

But Katsuki couldn't help it.

He'd screamed his throat raw.

He could feel it swelling up, now. And yet.. A part of him insisted that it was his own fault, had he not been difficult, things would've been different. If he'd just listened for once in his life, Katsuki could've avoided being chained up like a goddamn monster.

What's worse is the fact that it had been broadcasted live. Everyone in Japan had seen him at his weakest.

Before, people would call him villainous, because of his quirk and his personality. UA of all places chaining him up as if he'd go feral and attack them? Yeah, that just gave people more.. evidence to call him out as a villain.

That hurt.

Katsuki had refused to be healed by recovery girl. Mostly out of spite, but also because he just wanted to get the fuck out of there.

So he still felt the sting of the cuts the muzzle had so graciously put around his cheeks. The sting of his wrists that blistered after he'd blown them up inside the so-called quirk restraints. Katsuki's lip spilt. It wasn't a big deal, but why it's spilt was a big deal to him. All Might did it. All Might, the 1# Hero shoved a godforsaken medal down his throat, stretching his mouth far wider than it should.

It's funny how that hurt the most, even though it was the smallest injury he'd gotten. Like a papercut. Katsuki scoffed. How could he even be this weak? Mitsuki would be ashamed. She'd raised him so much better than this. How could he face her, knowing she'd seen him tied up like a monster?

Sure, Mitsuki slapped him at times, and would drag him by his hair, and occasionally threw glasses at him. But she loved him. It was just some tough love.

Fucking IcyHot, Katsuki scowled. If he'd just fight to his maximum, none of this would've happened.

(Lies, part of Katsuki chanted, even if he'd fought at his max, Katsuki would still find a way to end up being chained up. Like the monster he was.)

It didn't matter. It didn't matter, Katsuki told himself.

Oh god, what about Kariage? The one person who stuck by him for him, and not his quirk.

Hell, half the time Katsuki thought about the fact that even Deku only followed him around for his quirk.

Kariage saw him as human. As a person with feelings. Now? Now, Katsuki wasn't so sure about that.

All Katsuki could do was accept what was coming his way. The hatred, disgust and shame that would soon head his way.

Unless Kariage still cared, and saw him as human.

(Lies, It chanted, you know he'll hate you.)

Katsuki grit his teeth and clenched his fists, before letting out a hiss of pain. He'd forgotten about his burns. But if he'd been taken by Recovery Girl to heal, he would've been seen as even more weak. He couldn't have that.

He might as well just get it over with, Katsuki sighed, before heading towards Kariage's place. It wasn't far.

Before he knew it, Katsuki was standing outside Kariage's front door. The sun had set, casting a gloomy shadow over everything. It didn't help Katsuki get himself together.

Taking a deep breath, Katsuki knocked on the door. It was different from his normal knock. Normally, Katsuki would just bang his knuckles on the wood three times before stopping. This time, however, Katsuki simply lightly tapped the door seven times with his knuckles.

It may not seem important, but it showed the difference in his mood.

God, Katsuki bit his lip, his eyes welling up slightly, how was he supposed to do this? Katsuki tilted his head up as he waited for Kariage to open his damn door.

Waiting was horrible. It leaves you thinking, and overthinking. It just.. sucked, really.

Finally the door opened, showing Kariage.

"Katsuki?" He murmured, as if Katsuki was as fragile as glass.

Katsuki looked away. He couldn't bring himself to look at Kariage — to see the disgust in his eyes.

"Come in, please."

Hesitating, Katsuki stepped inside, still not looking at Kariage. He just couldn't.

The second the door closed, Kariage brought Katsuki into a hug.

It took three seconds for Katsuki to start sobbing, and to collapse against Kariage's chest.

Canon Complaint? Yes.  Angsty? Kinda. I tried my best. Cutting off right when the fluff starts? Yes.

Lmao. But I hope you all enjoyed this — don't worry, I will write PT2 sometime soon.
