Katsuki didn't want this. He was supposed to be a hero, the best hero. No.1. Better than everyone — Deku, IcyHot and All Might himself.

He was not supposed to be lying down in a pool of red because of a fucking mistake. He was not supposed to get so injured during training. Wasn't UA the best hero school? Katsuki scowed, balling his fists as he waited.

He felt so pathetic. Waiting, while bleeding out. While a godforsaken metal pole had impaled him. Nobody was here to help, but that was expected. Katsuki didn't need help.

Even though he didn't need it, maybe he wanted it.

Just this once. Just this once, could he be selfish, and weak and ask for help? Mitsuki would slap him if she saw his thoughts; "Be a fucking man, Katsuki! Don't wait and ask for help — don't be weak! Make me proud, and get out there and be the goddamn hero you are!"

Katsuki couldn't help it, though. He had literally been stabbed by a huge pole, and was currently bleeding out all because somebody didn't account for a building collapsing during training.

Too bad he couldn't just blame the building.

Katsuki was in a lot of pain — so much pain he felt high. And trust him, he's been high plenty of times before, curtesy of Kariage's sources. It hurt so much, Katsuki wanted to rip his organs out, to scream and shout. But it was enough pain it felt so numb. Like poking yourself with ice and a stick. It hurts, but it's also somewhat numbing.

He had already, somehow, removed the pole from his stomach, and he had ripped off part of his hero costume fabric as a temporary bandage, and to try stop the bleeding. It was working, in a way.

Katsuki vaguely remembers ripping the small, slim pole out of himself. It hurt like hell, he recalled, and he had to move himself upright, which in itself was painful to do so. It was honestly a miracle Katsuki managed to take it out at all.

But he's also pretty sure he might've ripped some extra.. flesh off too, while taking the pole out. Why? Because he saw fucking red, bloody, chunky meat sticking onto the pole when he took it out.

Katsuki threw up at the sight. How did he throw up with a hole in his stomach? He didn't know, and he didn't ask. But hey. At least the pole didn't go all the way through him.

At this point, he wouldn't even mind being saved by Deku.

Katsuki grimaced as pain shot through him. Stupid fucking shit. He might as well just ask for help now. Katsuki did not want to die — he promised Kariage that he wouldn't die before him, as long as Kariage didn't die before him either.

It looked like he was breaking that promise.

But he couldn't just give up. No way. If Katsuki was going down, he was going down doing something. Taking a deep and shuddering breath, Katsuki slowly stood up. He was leaning against the wall, so did it really count as standing?

It didn't matter. All that mattered was getting to a goddamned hospital. And calling Kariage. He couldn't just leave and die without calling Kariage.

...

Katsuki didn't want to die. He hated when he kept thinking about the fact that he would probably die, from either blood loss, infection or pain.

"Hey.. Siri.." He rasped, wincing at how his voice sounded. Siri was being useful, for once.

A small warbled sound escapes his phone before the automated voice came — "Hello, Bakugou. What can I do for you?"

Coughing, Katsuki doubled down for a second, spitting out a red looking substance. Blood. "Call Ka—" Katsuki spat more drying blood. "Call Kari."

"Calling 'Kari'."

Katsuki felt tears prickling the edges of his eyes. It's not like he hadn't cried yet. Obviously, he cried when he was fucking impaled by a pole. But he just wanted to not cry?

He also wanted to live and not die.

"Hey, Kat. What's up? Aren't you at school or something? Did you miss me — awe-"

"Kari.." Katsuki's voice trembled. "I'm.. 'm bleeding. A tear escaped his right eye.

Kariage paused on the other end of the line, "What? Aren't you at school? Katsuki, what happened.."

"I—" Katsuki gasped, as yet another spring of pain shot through him, "Fuck.."

"Katsuki Bakugou.."

"Got impaled by a fuc'ing pole." Katsuki managed to slur out, feeling awfully sick. "W'rldss ssp'nning..?"

"Where are your useless teachers!?" Kariage sounded one second away from coming to UA himself.

"'Dunno.." Katsuki mumbled back. He really sounded high. "Got t'e pole out 'm body.."

"Call that teacher of yours, Izzy? Zoe?"

"Aizawa?"

"Oh god, I'll do it myself. Stay calm, and don't close your fucking eyes! Don't you dare die on me.." the sound of another phone dialling away could be heard.

"Eh, Kari. I.. I think I'm in l've w'th you.." A soft smile crossed Katsuki's blood stained face, "I'm sorry."

"Shut up, what's your teachers number again??" Kariage sounded panicked, but sounded so far away now.

The void looking thing was reaching him. Sleep felt so longing. Katsuki was tired.

But Katsuki didn't want to die.

And yet he did.
