"I will always love you."

My brain is screaming at me to write more angst so Har Har, here is your angst.

______

It was your stereotypical rainy day — or night, for that matter. Grey clouds, rain, and a gloomy atmosphere. It was almost laughable.

Katsuki stared at the large stone ahead of him. The tips of his hair were dripping water into his eyes, making it hard to read the writing on the stone. Not to mention the tears that made it even more indistinguishable.

Taking a deep, shuddering breath, Katsuki scrubbed his eyes and glared at the writing.

- Here lies Kariage xxx -

- A bright, kind-hearted boy -

- who sadly passed away from an accident. -

-  2101 ~ 2118 -

"An accident, huh?" Katsuki smiled sourly. But the truth was it was an accident. There was nobody to blame but fate itself.

A drunk driver.

It was a pathetic and sad way to die, Katsuki had thought.  He'd always hoped Kariage would've died in a calmer way.

Nobody else came to his funeral. It wasn't exactly shocking, for Katsuki, because Kariage's family was messed up and full of drug addicts, and he didn't exactly have close friends, unless you count people he did business with.

But it still hurt.

Kariage was such a kind person. Under all the jokes, and cigarettes, was a kind, soft guy. The guy Katsuki eventually fell for.

Katsuki's bit back a sob, clenching his hands into fists. Why was life so fucking unfair?

Why couldn't it of been Katsuki who died? Kariage had a life ahead of him, while Katsuki would probably only be a side-kick, or minor hero. Deku would definitely get all the attention, and then maybe IcyHot.

"Oh, Kariage.. what am I supposed to do?" Katsuki sighed, tilting his head up to the sky. It was still raining, and the clouds were still grey.

Everything was so monotonous. The only spark of colour in the entire area was in Katsuki's hands.

A bouquet of red roses. They had been Kariage's favourite flower, simply because they reminded him of Katsuki's eyes. It was terribly sappy, but it still made Katsuki smile.

A strangled noise escaped him, as he bit back a sob. That stupid drunk, that stupid car, and stupid Kariage for making Katsuki care.

Laughter and awfully loud music burst behind him, only to disappear a second later. Of course, some stupid people would drive their car by, while blasting music.

It reminded Katsuki of the phone call.

He'd gotten a call from the hospital whilst in class. Ignoring everyone, Katsuki just left. He managed to keep his tears at bay then.

When he reached the hospital, a nurse came and told him that Kariage didn't make it. It took Katsuki one whole day to finally realise what that meant.

No Kariage on the weekends. No Kariage calling him love. No Kariage to care. No Kariage to tease him. No Kariage to cuddle with. No Kariage to talk to. No Kariage at all.

It had taken Katsuki three days to get himself together enough to plan the funeral, seeing how Kariage's family refused to. They were complete assholes.

Katsuki's stepped forward and gently placed his flowers on Kariage's.. grave. God, he'd never get used to that.

"I will always love you," He murmured,  "Even if you're not here anymore."

_______

Very short, yes. Sad, yes.
