He couldn't stop fidgeting with his fingers and the string of Kariage's hoodie, which he was currently wearing. Katsuki couldn't help it; he was nervous, okay!

You can't blame him for being nervous though.

With Kariage being the one driving the car, for which Katsuki still had no idea how the fuck he even got one, Katsuki really had nothing to do but overthink. And in case you didn't know, overthinking seriously sucks.

After literal years of keeping his relationship with Kariage a secret, Katsuki was finally going to tell his parents. That.. doesn't sound as dramatic as it felt or anything, but still. Katsuki was really nervous, and anxious, and weird feeling and.. and more. Hey, it's not his fault he's not good with feelings.

Kariage noticed. But instead of asking some random shit, he took a hand of the steering wheel, which was concerning, and placed said hand on Katsuki's own hand. It's not much, but it made him feel a lot better.

Oh. He really does sound like a stereotypical high school kid in love.

Eh, he shrugged, who cares? It's love. Not his fault.

Katsuki heaved a sigh and turned to glance at the houses around them. It was dark out, and most houses were dimly lit by the unreliable street lights. It was actually odd how dark it was even though it was 7PM.

Then, he noticed how close he was to his parents house. Cue the internal panicking and terror. Kariage was being weirdly quiet, but anyway, he clearly noticed again how Katsuki was feeling again and simply squeezed his hand. That shouldn't of been as comforting as it was, but whatever.

Attempting to shake off his stupidly intruding thoughts, Katsuki just shook his head. It sounds really pathetic. It didn't really help either way.

"You ready?" Kariage half-heartedly whispered. Almost as though he was trying to keep the moment quiet and sweet.

Katsuki scoffed back, "I was born ready, bitch.." That was a complete lie, and Kariage saw through it instantly. Thankfully, he didn't  call Katsuki out on it.

As the car door opened, Katsuki took a very deep breath before stepping out. It wasn't snowing or anything, nor was it raining but the air was very crisp and cold. Katsuki curled his arms into himself. Half because of the cold and half because of how nervous he was.

"Let's fuckin' do this already.." He mumbled to Kariage, "I hate the cold."

Kariage, on the other hand, only chuckled lightly at his antics. "Yeah, yeah. I know you hate the cold, hot stuff." Katsuki rolled his eyes; of course Kariage would incorporate a pick-up line into this. Of course he would.

Their short walk to his doorstep was honestly a blur. Probably because his thoughts were just going everywhere. The short, sharp ding from the doorbell was what shook Katsuki out of it though.

Masaru was the one who answered, opening the door with a smile. "Oh, hello Katsuki.. and is this Kariage?" Wow.. His voice was getting softer by the day..

"Ah? The brats here with his friend?" Mitsuki's own smooth voice called from what Katsuki assumed was the living room.

"Yup." Katsuki grimaced at his short, awkward and curt response.

Masaru only smiled again. This man would be smiling even while being eaten alive.. "Come in!" He stepped out of the doorway, showing the other two the way in.

"Thank you, kind sir." Kariage tipped his imaginary hat. Katsuki almost face-planted onto the floor because of that.

Once they were all in the living room, Katsuki stood up almost immediately after sitting down. Time to say it.. and possibly face rejection.. and disgust and—

Kariage smiled at him and gave Katsuki a thumbs up. Inwardly groaning, Katsuki cleared his throat in an attempt to get everyone's attention.

Mitsuki sniffed, "What is it now?" Even though she could be.. rude at times, she was honestly a loving person. Like mother, like son.

"I'm dating this fucking guy named Kariage."

Silence overlapped everyone. Katsuki squeezed his eyes shut, preparing for the worst.. maybe this was a bad idea?

Abrupt laughing suddenly filled the room. That laugh could only belong to one person.. Mitsuki?

"I fucking knew it!" She screeched, "I knew you two were gay for each other! What'd I tell you Mas? They're definitely fucking behind the scenes!"

"Ah?" Katsuki frowned. He was not blooming a bright bloody red. Definitely.

Masaru chuckled, "I do suppose it was pretty obvious that they were. Mm, yes."

Katsuki died and Kariage wrote a 62k word speech about him at the funeral and also brought croissAnts
