H-huh?” Giljean asked, her eyes now are got widen.

“I just heard it somewhere. You know, our flag is one of the most unique flag in the world?”

“I thought it's Nepal Flag?” She protested, totally ain't convinced on what I've said.

“That's why I said, ONE.OF.THE.MOST.UNIQUE. FLAG.IN.THE.WORLD.” I said emphasizing those words.

“Okay, chill.” Giljean's lean her head on my shoulder.

“Tell me how it is became unique? Is it because of it's meaning?” She curiously asked while her head is still on my shoulder.

“Hmm...maybe, But it is because Philippine flag is the only flag in the world that when the crimson red  color put on the top of the royal blue color, it indicate that our country is at war. Like when February 4, 1899, during the 1899 to 1913 Philippine–American war, our flag was flown upside down with the red field is at the top. Also, when Japanese invades our country in December 1941, our flag was used that kind of system to indicate the hostilities. ”

Giljean lift her head to look at my face. “I know that one.” she proudly said.

“That's why even in making, folding, and raising our flag needed to make sure that the color of Royal blue and Crimson red did not exchange their position.” She explained.

I gave her a nodded as a response.

That's why, people in the world needs to know their own country's history first. Even their history was gloomy.

Because in every details that has a big part in their country, has a big part of their life now.

A few moments ago after we talked about history when Giljean and I decided to continue our movie marathon. We are now both sitting on the sofa while my hands are caressing her hair.

Giljean is the one who chose a movie on Netflex but when we are in the climax part of the movie, Giljean paused it.

“Why?” I curiously asked

“I'm just still thinking about, what if Spanish, Japanese, and Americans did not invades our country before, does our country is still rich on Copper and Golds. I mean, you know, out country also called as The Pearl of the Orients seas.“

I pinched Giljean's rosy chicks because of what she's thinking.

“Stop thinking about that for now, okay. Let just watch a movie.” I suggested.

“But I'm just curious. ” She protested.

“What do you think if they didn't invade us?” she added.

“If they didn't invade us, probably our kind of dressing way will be remain like how some tribes here dressed up. Probably, our beliefs before will be remain. Or maybe, our  way of writing will be remain as Baybayin.” I answered.

“You know what, people here keep blaming some girls why they got raped because of the way they dressed up. But look, the girls on tribes didn't raped even they are almost naked because the boys on tribes knows how to respect girls.”  Giljean's protested.

This time I pinch her nose. “Stop thinking about that, it's babe time. Okay?”

Giljean just nodded.

Time was flew fast again. It was like, yesterday when we took our first semester final exam. And now, we are in the second week before the finals again.

Kuen and I are here in a gymnasium  because Giljean's will be having a debate today.

“It was not fair for Giljean, Lawyers are good at debating.” Kuen commented when the two participants are come in on the gymnasium stage.

“Giljean can win this battle, I believe on her.” I proudly said.

I remember how Giljean's cried because, like Kuen, she also said that it would be not fair on her because she will going to debate in that lawyer student.

“I just became a top 1 in that entrance exam because I am really inspired. I didn't expect that they will going to make me debating with that Megan who got the top 2 spot!” Giljean said like a child who complaining to her mom for not buying her a toy.

“You can do that. I believe in you.” I complemented.

“You're just saying that because you're my boyfriend!”

“No. I am saying this because I am believing in your skills and intelligence. ” I smiled at her.

I held her chin to level our face.

“Smile.” I said, trying to make her lips curved a smile.

Giljean removed my hand and stood up, then she sat and lean her head on the sofa.

I saw her guitar on the other table. I get it and began to sing a song entitled: With a Smile by Eraserheads.

I didn't finish my song when I saw Giljean's is now peacefully sleeping. She's almost reviewing and reading a lot of books since last week.

She's really look tired now but her beauty is still there.

“Participants please come in front of the stage.” The emcee announced. The two opposing students stood up on their chairs.

“UP! Are you ready?” The emcee asked.

All students are now cheering for their own bet.

I smiled when I saw Giljean looked at me.

I gave her a two thumb's up.

“The Battle of the wise are now begin!” The emcee announced.

“The topic is...” the emcee pause for a bit while trying to pick a piece of paper on the fish bowl. The topic will be depends on what emcee picked in that bowl.

“Do you think that having a universal religion or the same belief can make the world at piece?” the emcee said.

“Ms. Megan, you will be the one who depend YES,
while you...Ms. Abando, you're the one who will depend the NO.” The emcee instructed.

“The Law student really look confident.” Kuen murmured on my ears.

“That's one of the lawyer's personality that they needed to learn especially when they are already at the court.” I explained.

I already expected that. Lawyers are good at hiding their emotions.

But let see if that lawyer is good at debating than my girl.
