Nightmare and the others waited outside the hall for about 30 minutes. Ink, Error, Cross, and Dream were quiet. Nightmare paced back and forth in front of the room. He's gonna have to go to work soon, schools gonna start in a few hours.

"Nightmare you should relax, stress doesn't look good on you." Said Cross quietly leaning on the wall. Dream nodded in agreement.

"I agree, Nightmare you're only hurting yourself more with all that panic." Nightmare stopped pacing and looked up at him.

"Do not tell me how I should feel." He said giving a glare. Cross murmured something lightly and went in front Dream in a protective stance. Nightmare rolled his eyes and looked at the door. "I don't even know why you're all here."

"Because they want to support you." Said a voice from behind. It was Pj. Nightmare stared at him, giving a disgusted expression.

"You should be home." Said Ink appearing near Error.

"You should leave." Stated Nightmare making a full turn. "We don't want you here."

Pj rolled his eyes walking pass him. "Correction, you don't." Said Pj with a wink. Pj walked to meet up with his parents. "Besides I'm not the only one here." He said pointing to the end of the hall. A bright lilac flame appeared from the darkness.

"Lux! You should be home." Said Dream heading over.

"Sorry, it's just Pj and I kinda, maybe, eavesdropped on your conversation earlier and kinda you know came over." Pj nodded in agreement.

"We're family too." He said placing his hands in his pockets.

"Family is too much of a strong place for you to use, how about... reject. Yeah I like that better." Pj flinched looking over at Nightmare who was giving this smug smile.

"Why you-"

"Quit it!" Shouted Cross summoning his knife. "I'm going to cut you both up if you don't shut up!" Pj looked away. "It's annoying hearing you both argue."

Nightmare looked away. Well at least I got something out of it. He scoffed and looked at the door his impatience getting to him. "What's happening?" Behind them was a small figure it was Jupiter. She was dragging her blanket with her in her pink onesie. She gave a brief yawn and rubbed her eyes. Everyone looked at each other perplexed of what to do. Nightmare only stared at the knob. Pj looked over to Nightmare then to Jupiter.

"Hey." Pj said a little nervous. He approached the small girl. "Whatcha doing up? You should be asleep."

"I got kinda lost looking for the bathroom." She said looking up at him.

He tapped his shoes and looked back at Nightmare expecting a reaction. Realizing Nightmare wasn't paying attention he looked back at her. "Here let me help you. The grown-ups are talking right now." He said patting her back as they started to walk.

"Than why were you over there?" She said quietly. Pj smiled nervously.

"HaaaHhhha!" Burst Error. "HuMmoRuuS." Ink rolled his eyes.

"You think everything is funny." He said as Pj got out of view. "It's kinda sa-"

"Shh!" Nightmare pushed his skull along the door. Hearing murmuring from the other side. Hearing taps and shuffling. Think they're coming back. He moved back not wanting to get hit by the door. As the door slightly opened Nightmare grabbed it, pushed it open and forced himself in.

"W-wait!" Called on of the guards after him. "She isn't recovered yet." The guard said a little nervous. "She's stable but we couldn't do anything."

"There isn't anything you can do." A voice from behind. Luna. She took a swift bow. "Sorry to intrude, everyone's been talking about this all over the castle." Nightmare turned giving her a hurtful look. Luna realizing what she said, cleared her throat. "I've made sure the others have stopped the gossip." Nightmare sighed. Luna looked back giving this stern looked at the Nightcrawlers behind her. They noticed this and left the room. "I'm sorry about the Mistress." She said quietly no longer speaking after that.

"You were right." He said taking a seat. He looked down at Y/N, his eyes giving a sadden expression. "There wasn't anything I can do. You even warned me." He rested his head on the bed. "Now I spent more time in that lab than I ever did with her." His regrets going through his head. Feeling nothing more than sheer sadness. He got up and looked at her face. Pale, her lips blue, her breathing shallow. He gently touched her hand. She's so cold. "Can you get the kids." Luna nodded and left. Great way to start the morning. Nightmare looked at her hand. Her mark was gone.  Tears swelled in his eye sockets. I screwed up, big time. "I'm sorry." He said clenched to the bedsheets. "I'm so fucking sorry." Nightmare laid his face down. When was the last time I was even in this bed? Nightmare groaned, placing all the blame on himself.

"Dad?" It was Midnight. She was at the door with her siblings. All of them being in their pajamas. Their heads peering through the doors. Luna looked back then returned her gaze towards Nightmare. 

"I will take my leave." she said with a swift bow. 

As the kids came in and Luna retreated, Nightmare only grieved. "What's wrong with mom?" said Jupiter looking over to Midnight. Midnight opened her mouth to speak only for no words to come out.

"She's dying." Quietly said Nightmare. Everyone stood silent. Nightmare being the only one who was aware of it. 

"W-what." stated Comet.

"Shouldn't we get an ambulan-" Nightmare raised his hand. He shook his head slowly.

"If I can't fix they won't do it either." They all looked at each other a bit baffled. Jupiter and Phoenix looked at each other before heading over to the bed. They both jumped onto the bed and sat down. "Be careful."

The older sisters went to the opposite side of their father. They looked at their mother. Her body being no bigger than Nightmare. It's as if her life force has been sucked away. "Mom." Midnight said quietly. "I don't know if you can hear us but, I w-wanted to..." she started to sob. She sniffled and looked away not wanting to continue the sentence. "Tell you that...g-god damn it."

"We love you." Comet said finishing the sentence. Slowly Comet started to cry, feeling the pain of saying it for the last time. "Don't forget that." Comet grabbed Y/N's hand.

The cold finger tips brushed against Comet's hand. "I...love..y-o..u...t-." Y/N spoke softly. Her E/C eyes opened slowly. Everyone looked at her. She gave a warm smile. 

Immediately Nightmare panicked. "Don't speak." he said getting up. "Save your strength." he got up. He turned as going to leave.

"N..i..gh-" Y/N began. He turned. She raised her hand as if reaching for him. "I love you." she forced out. This time her voice not breaking. She puffed slightly and coughed. 

"Mom?" peered over Phoenix. Y/N looked slightly down. Eyeing the twins. 

She smiled as the black goo dripped down her mouth. "H..ow...a-re y-you Phoenix, Jupiter?." she said. Trying to say their name one more time. Phoenix smiled. He looked at his sisters. 

"I-I'm okay." he said looking down knowing that was a lie. He covered his face with his sweater. Slowly the wet stains started to appear. He didn't want her to see him crying. "S-sorry." He said sniffing. He looked at Jupiter. She gave him sad eyes. Which only made him cry more. Jupiter cried as she hugged him. 

Y/N looked up at Nightmare. Moving her eyes to the twins then to him. Y/N rested her head on the pillow, waiting for the twins to leave the room. Nightmare whistled. The door swiftly opened revealing Luna. She looked over to Nightmare he gave a small nod towards the twins. Luna quickly got the idea. Approaching she gave them a warm smile. She told them something quietly, before they gave this sadden look. She gently carried them and sent them down. They looked up at her and followed her. That was the last time Y/N saw them. 

As the door closed Y/N looked at the girls, "Kept them safe will you?" They looked at each other in disbelief. As if she was saying good-bye. Midnight shook her head. Comet looked away trying to distract herself. Midnight looked at her eyes. 

"I'm sorry I-I-" Midnight got up and stormed off. I-I can't see her like this. Midnight bolted out the room. Leaving a trail of tears. Comet looked at the trail as her own tears left a path on her cheeks. 

Comet leaned in to her mother. She gave her a hug. "I love you." She tightened her grip. "I-I love you!" she once more, as if it was going to be the last time she was ever going to say that. She got up and looked at her father. She sighed as her hot breath filled the air. She sniffled and proceeded to leave the room. 

"They shouldn't have seen me like this." Said Y/N with a cough. The goo splattering everywhere. Using his boney fingers he tried to wipe it way. Y/N looked up at him. He met her gaze, he only frowned. She held his hand, stopped speaking. Only wanted to stare into his eyes. "I he-eard y-" she coughed, "you e-earli...er." she tightened her grip. 

Nightmare flinched, "You, you did!" Nightmare said slightly embarrassed. Y/N nodded slightly with another cough.

She hummed as he rubbed his fingers on her hand. He smiled softly. He took a seat on the bed, still holding her hand. They were quite favoring the silence. Her breathing was becoming hoarse. She already knew what it meant. She started to shiver, realizing how cold she was getting. She slowly started to close her eyes. "Ni....ght." her hand relaxed becoming motionless against Nightmare's. "T-Tell me...a-ab..out...us." she said sniffing as the tears started to flow down. 

"Well," He looked up at the ceiling. "We aren't supposed to fall for each other, let me rephrase that, I wasn't supposed to fall for you." He paused before continuing. "I was supposed to stay alone and stay as the not so best being for the rest of my life." He cocked his head from side to side, "Well I'm still kinda like that but, you know that's beyond the point." He looked towards the door. "But you changed all that, you changed my world, and I'm pretty sure you changed their world too." He spoke softly as he looked down. "You gave me the life I've never thought I'd have." He looked down at her, "You taught me how to..." he stopped. Realizing her chest stopped rising, her eyes were closed. His eyes widen. Leaving the the sentence unfinished.

Outside the room the few skeletons waited. "Do you feel that?" said Dream looking up at the lot.

"Feel what?" said Ink looking bored.

"The sadness." Cross looked down at Dream. "When we worked for him, that's all that was here, sadness." Error nodded looking away. Dream shook his head.

"No." Dream touched his cranium. He got this wave of nausea and felt light headed. "No, it's just like..." Dream gripped onto the wall as he started to fall. Cross swiftly caught him. The first time. "We  have to get in there." Cross lifted up him up, carrying him bridal style. "I can't leave him again!" he held onto Cross's scarf. "Go Cross Go!" Dream wailed. Error gave a distasteful look. 

"T-The DdOooR iSs RrRiGhhhT ThEEEre." Error groaned. He grabbed the door and swung it open. Error peeped his head in first. He walked in as the rest followed. "SssHiTTTTt." Nightmare was hunched over at the bedside. His face was at rest, staring at the bed sheets. "HeEEy NiGgHt-" A tentacle burst and launched itself towards Error. Error stepped back in time as the tentacle hit the wall. 

"I want to be left alone." Error sighed. Cross set Dream down. Though he was still holding on to Cross. "And don't even think about using those feelings on me."

Dream groaned. The negative emotions were overwhelming Dream, but he soldiered on. "N-Nightmare. I just want to be with you." Nightmare clenched his teeth. 

"Please Dream, I just want to be by myself." Dream looked over to the others, he waved his hand. Cross quickly caught on and left the room, dragging everyone else with him. 

"There, they're gone." Dream pulled himself up. "It's okay to cry." Nightmare looked at him. His eyes grew heavy as his body turned back to normal. Nightmare started to fall.

Nightmare covered his eyes as he fell to the ground. "Ugh...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" He started to sob. Dream tried to move away from the bed wanting to console his brother. Dream crawled his way over. He sat down next to him. He leaned against the wall and looked at his brother. 

"I'm sorry." Dream said hugging him. Nightmare shook his head.

"It's my fault, if I've never created those stupid creatures...she'd still be alive." he sniffed. He leaned his head back. "It's always my fault." Dream looked over to him.

"It's never been your fault." His gentle golden eyes glowed against Nightmares purple ones. "It will never be your fault." Nightmare stayed silent. Dream patted him on his shoulder. He leaned in. 

"She's gone, Dream." He said resting his head on his knees. "She left me here, alone." Dream hesitated to talk. He opened his mouth to talk only for Nightmare to interrupt. "I don't know what I'm going to do. Everything I ever did....was for her, and now that she's gone.....what am I supposed to do?" He said questioningly as if asking himself the question.

"Live for you. For your friends, for your family." Nightmare shook his head.

"I don't know if I can." Dream smiled. Now that the negative aura has died down, he used his positive aura to soften the mood. 

"That'll take time. There is no rush." Nightmare nodded as he sniffed and wiped his tears away. "The best part is that we're here for you. All the way." Nightmare hummed. Dream kept smiling. As he adjusted himself his hand slipped on his cape. He almost forgot that he had brought it with him. He quickly untied it and pulled it off. "You know what always made me feel better." He placed the cape on top of Nightmare. "It always helped me through thunderstorms." Nightmare removed it from the top of his head. He looked over to Dream, he returned the smile towards Dream.

"Thanks." Dream nodded. Dream looked up at the window seeing the sun rising.

"Want me to tell Asgore you're not coming in today?" 

"That'd be great." Dream got up. 

"I need to get going, Cross and Error are here case you need anything." Before completely leaving he bent down and hugged Nightmare again. "Sorry to leave so early." He released from the hug. "I know it's hard, but I highly doubt Y/N would want to see you like this." He nodded barely hearing what Dream said. "Hey Nightmare," He looked up at him being wrapped in the blanket. "Please don't hesitate to ask for help." Nightmare nodded looking down at the cape. The door behind Dream. Leaving Nightmare alone with the cold presence of nothing.

"No matter how many times you say it Dream." he slowly removed the cape off and left it next to him. "It is my fault." he whispered softly to himself. He looked up at the lifeless body. "Now I have to pay for it." He watched the soul appear and start to break. "I have to pay." he said quietly as the soul disintegrated. "I love you Y/N....bye."

Its 1:40 am and I forgot to update forgive me. I got caught up in my school work. I'm sorry. Also there is one more before we close this up. :)
