The four generals were a little unsure about this. Today was their 'big day' their 'debut'. Nightmare had brought them along with them along to pick up the twins. At least two of them, Luna and Mars. He had gone walking, with a German Shepherd(Luna) and a Siberian Husky(Mars). The disguises they decided to take.

Mars waddled happily, one of his tongues hanging out to the side. Luna  walked, not amused at him. Her tail lowered and ears perked. Mars looked at Luna with a smile. She growled lightly. Nightmare only continued to walk.

"Master...if I may ask, why are we heading over to the school?" barked Mars. Nightmare cleared throat.

Luna growled at him. Mars only lowered his head and ears. Whimpering slightly. Forgetting he wasn't supposed to speak. 

Nightmare looked down. "So you can get familiar with the route." With that answer Mars continued to smell, excitedly. Forgetting the mishap. Nightmare groaned. They've should've stuck to birds. Nightmare felt regret. He is not a dog person, pondering as to why he fucked up with this class. He shrugged and signed. "We're getting close."

Mars wagged his tail. Luna lifted her tail only 'trying' to be excited. She only feels misplaced is all. Yeah that's definitely it. 

They walked a little further, until they reached a white and blue building. With a concrete block, with 'Ebott Elementary' engraved on it. A public school for young monsters and humans, one of the first to open. Nightmare and Y/N choosing one that seemed suitable. Nightmare pulled out his phone, he checked the time. "2:15." He said and clicked his teeth. He looked around to see other monsters and human parents. He stood under a tree holding the dogs, they looked around at everyone and stood near Nightmare's legs. "They should get out so-"

RING! 

Children started to scream. Running out of the building, finally being able to go home. The 1st-6th graders ran out of the building finding their parents.  While Nightmare waited patiently, the dogs looking at the kids running by, of course keeping their composure. Where are they? 

Mars then stood up, keeping an intimidating stance. "Dad!" It was Jupiter. She ran over her backpack bouncing on her. "Oh my gosh!" Jupiter looked at the dogs. "They're so cute!" She started to pet Luna, embracing her ears. Luna stiffened her stance feeling tense and nervous. Mars only looked on trying to get a glance of Phoenix. 

"Dad!" Finally Phoenix arrived behind a bunch of other kids. He came over and saw the dog. "Woah." He let Mars smell him as he slowly pet his head. Mars panting and wagging his tail. 

"You two seem way too surprised." 

"It's because you guys never wanted any pets." Luna cringed slightly. Jupiter nodded agreeing with her brother. 

"They're not pets." They looked confused. "I'll explain it on the way home." With that they turned around and walked home. Nightmare of course explaining the situation as simple as possible. Seemed a little confused at first but caught on quickly. They quickly arrived home.

"Does that mean they're ours?" asked Jupiter, entering the castle gates.

Nightmare looked at them. The two Nightshades keeping form. He smiled, knowing that they would dislike it. "Absolutely." Nightmare looked over to them. "You guys can go play if you like." The two perked up.

"Can we!" stated Jupiter. Nightmare nodded. They both looked over and ran off. The dogs quickly following behind. Nightmare sighed. I'll have to check on them later tonight. He gripped his skull. I'm going to get a fucking headache at the end of the day. Nightmare turned to the right and followed a set of stairs, other entrance to the castle. A few Nightshades were guarding the castle gates and yard. Nightmare quickly took this to note.

Nightmare stepped in the corridors. He was at the left side of the castle, trying to make himself to the back where all the rooms were. He passed an Eclipse, she quietly dusted the windows that had light showing through. Nightmare walked quickly passed the light, feeling a slight sting. He seemed a little confused as he passed it. This was not normal for him.

He kissed his teeth. This better not be an issue lat-. "Fucking shit!" God dammit. "Leo I fucking told you! You can't mine diamonds with stone!" Geez. Nightmare teleported away. He slithered through the shadows until he reached Comet's door. Nightmare went for the knob. Then he thought for a second. 

Instead he kicked the door open. "Why the heck are you yelling!" Comet jumped. She sat at the edge of her bed next to Leo. Leo looked over a little frightened. He stood up and bowed. Nightmare took his hand out signaling him to stop. 

"Why'd you do that for!" 

Nightmare slouched slightly. "You're really asking me that?" Nightmare rolled his eyes. "Stop yelling and cussing. Your sister and brother are home." Comet shrugged.

"Then tell Leo to stop mining diamonds with stone." Leo lowered his ears. 

"Leo stop mining diamonds with stone. How stupid are you?" Nightmare snapped. 

Leo sighed. "I'm sorry." 

Comet kissed her teeth. "Dad only I can say that." Comet nudged Leo. "Don't apologize." Leo gripped the controller. "You can keep playing." Comet looked up Nightmare. "So let me ask you, why are you here?" Nightmare gave a smug smile.

"Wanted to check in on you two. See what you two were doing." Leo straightened up a little.  "I'll be out of your hair for now." Nightmare turned around. Grabbing the door and slowly closing it behind him. Until he heard the door lock he heard Comet talk softly to him.

"Sorry about that little outburst. I think I get it from dad." She said happily, adding a laugh. Nightmare parted from the door and walked off. Hearing Comet add, "Let's play Cuphead."

Nightmare proceeded to walk back to his room and check on Y/N. Midnight was still at practice and Dusk was a little busy. He'll check on the three later.

Meanwhile in the garden.

"Mars, the ball got stuck in the tree." Phoenix said sadly. The tennis ball stuck between the branches. Mars sat down next to Phoenix, he cocked his head to the side. Mars shapeshifted back to his regular form. He reached up trying to get a hold of one of the branches. He tip toed, still didn't work. Mars looked up, before turning into a goop of puddle, and sprouting the tree reaching an area near the ball, Mars formed into a small bird, pecked the the ball till it fell on the floor. Phoenix quickly caught it. Mars fluttered down towards Phoenix. "Thank you."

Phoenix tossed it into the air. He caught it before tossing out into the garden. Mars jumped up. Turning to follow the ball while transforming back to a husky.

Jupiter watched them two as they played. Her small frail body was nothing compared to Luna. Luna stood firm, serious. "What do you want to play?" She asked lightly, kicking the dirt.

"Whatever you like."

Jupiter shrugged. "What do you play?"

"I don't." Jupiter sat down. She looked at Luna. While Luna looked down. Luna took a seat on the floor with her. Jupiter hummed.

"Doesn't dad play with you guys?" Luna shook her head.

"We don't play. We don't eat. We don't do anything we're not ordered to do." Jupiter pouted. She hummed.

"Why?" She asked lightly. "You don't always have to listen to dad." She looked at Luna in the eyes. "When was the last time you made a decision?" Luna flinched.

"Pardon."

"When was the last time you were your own person?"

Luna sat there silent. Not knowing how to respond. "I'm not allowed to give unauthorized information." She stated calming. 

Jupiter hummed. She laid down on her stomach, her arms stretched in front of her. "I want to know about you." 

Luna gaze became cool. "There isn't anything for you to know." she paused. 

Jupiter turned lying on her back now. "Is there anything you want to know about me?" Luna stayed quiet. "I like to draw, and spend time with Phoenix." She motioned her arms up as if trying to grab something. "Sometimes I think about what you said about Dad." Jupiter moved her head back, looking at Luna. "It's scary, I don't want to see Dad like that." She sighed and lowered her arms. "Promise me you'll help my Dad in what ever he's needs, even if he doesn't know what he needs." She held her hand out, poking her pinky out.

"I already do that, I serve him." 

"You're not his servant, you're his friend." Luna stayed quiet. Jupiter smiled, "Let me rephrase it. You promise me you'll be by his side, no matter what."

I promise to be by your side no matter what.

Jupiter held out her pinky, as Luna held onto it with hers. "I promise."

Hello! Another chapter within the month that's a record. Well I'm sitting here enjoy some Pringles and YouTube during theses times.
