Chapter 13

Barry stirred and looked around, everything was a haze. He looked to his side and saw Y/N, her hands cuffed, and a glowing collar on her neck. He could see a visible gash on Y/N's cheek, he hated to see her like this.

Oliver woke next, he noticed everyone else beginning to wake up, all of their hands restrained, and they wore these odd, glowing collars on their necks.

"What the hell happened?" he asked sounding dazed.

"I don't know," Sara replied.

Y/N woke and looked at Barry, a sigh of relief followed once she realized that he was okay, as was everyone else. Then Thawne sped in front of them.

"Sleep well?" he taunted.

"What the hell?" Oliver shouted as he stood up, the rest of the heroes following his lead.

"Haha, that's cute, you think that you're strong in numbers," Thawne snickered.

"If you're gonna kill us just get on with it, I can't stand the sound of your voice anymore," Sara said sounding annoyed.

"Oh, don't worry. I am going to kill each and every single one of you...but I need something first...from you," Thawne said pointing and turning his attention to Barry.

"What?" Y/N questioned flatly while she took a stand in front of him.

"You know it's funny, my mind is better than ever, stronger than ever, but my body...is failing me. You see, that's the funny thing about the speed force, it's finally taking its toll on my body, and I can't keep up with it ironically enough. That's why I need your speedster blood to save me," he said pointing to Barry again. "My speed isn't fast enough to keep up with my deteriorating body, but your blood might just be enough...I don't need your speed, just your life."

"No," Y/N commanded as she stood completely in front of Barry, blocking Thawne from getting to him.

"Get on with it," Barry said flatly as he moved Y/N to the side.

"No," Y/N said again. "Take me."

Barry quickly moved to the side and knocked Y/N down to the ground, he didn't want to, but it was the only way to assure that Thawne would take him instead of her. Thawne smirked before stepping forward and kicking Barry quickly in the leg from behind, everyone could hear his bones snap under Thawne's foot.

"Stop!" Y/N cried as she struggled to get up, also as Barry fell to his knees in front of her.

"That's sweet," he said in a mocking tone before he pushed her back down to the ground and held his vibrating hand against her chest, "Not so funny anymore is it?"

"NO! I'll go with you...I'll go with you, just leave her alone," Barry yelled as Thawne pushed his hand closer to Y/N's chest.

"Barry, no," Y/N pleaded.

"No, Y/N, Barry made his decision," Thawne said standing up. The next thing they all knew Thawne had knocked them out...everything went black.

Y/N woke with her head pounding, presumably from Thawne knocking her out. She rolled to her feet and saw that Oliver, Sara, and Kara were with her.

"Where are we?" Y/N asked as she stood up.

"Something tells me somewhere not good," Kara said looking around.

It didn't take long for Y/N to figure out that they were in a prison camp, a Nazi prison camp...on Earth-X.

Meanwhile, Barry woke in a place he didn't know. He could see a bright light above him, and what appeared to a sort of medical area around him. His hands and feet were tied down to the table he lay on. The collar around his neck still on, he assumed it was dampening his powers.

"Nice to see that you're awake," Thawne said walking into the room.

"Just get on with it," Barry said expressionlessly. He had an odd feeling that this was it for him, and he hated himself for how he left things with Y/N, he only hoped she knew that he was sorry.

"That's it?" he asked. "No fighting, or protesting?"

"Nope...you win Thawne, Wells, whoever you are," Barry said looking at the ground.

"You care about them that much, about her that much, enough to give you life?" Thawne asked referring the very heroes fighting him.

"I care about my team, my friends, and there is no reality, no world, that can ever stop me from loving Y/N," Barry replied. "I tried dreading this, even running from it, but I guess destiny still arrives right?"

Thawne scoffed, "Any last messages I should relay to her once you're gone?" he asked.

Barry shook his head, "If I could tell her, everything that I see, and how she is everything to me, I wouldn't even know where to start," Barry said tearing up, his eyes still focused on the ground."Now like I said before...get on with it," he said looking up at Thawne.

"If you insist," Thawne smiled.

"We have to find a way out of here," Alex said looking around as they scanned the area.

"Something tells me it's not going to be that easy," Oliver said looking around.

"What about these people," Sara said observing the people around them, all prisoners as well.

"Hey," Y/N said nudging one of them on the shoulder. "How did you get in here?" she asked.

"I loved the wrong person," he said solemnly before moving on.

"You weren't wrong when you said that this place is horrible," Alex said noting what the man had just told them.

"There's a reason most people don't come here."

"Why not? Why don't they help these people?" Oliver asked.

"Because, this is the way the multiverse had things happen, this is how things are supposed to be, by helping you risk rupturing the space-time continuum, and destroying the multiverse. So no matter how horrible it is, we can't do anything about it," Y/N explained.

"Okay, so what about our way out?" Alex asked again.

"I have an idea," Y/N said. And her plan worked. They staged a fight amongst themselves and caught the guards attention, only they didn't realize the collars they wore could also surge electricity through them. Afterwards, the guards began escorting them out into a field, Y/N knew what was about to happen.

"Oliver," Y/N said as they walked.

"Y/N, don't talk like that, we're gonna get out of here," he said.

"Oliver, what if we don't, and what if we do and Thawne has already killed Barry," Y/N said with tearing threatening to escape her eyes.

"That's not going to happen," Oliver said optimistically.

"Stop!" one of the officers commanded.

They all did so and turned around to face them, as they brought their guns up, readying themselves to fire,

"I'm sorry Barry...for everything," Y/N whispered to herself.

"Please forgive me, Felicity," Oliver said.

All the heroes said something similar about someone they cared about.

"Ready!"

"Aim!"

But the command fire never came, a hero came to the heroes rescue. Someone that Y/N recognized...Leonard Snart, well, his doppelganger anyways. He appeared to be a hero.

The heroes stood in shock as he swept in and freed them of their collars and cuffs.

"GO!" he yelled as he dealt with the Nazi's headed their way.

"Come on!" Y/N shouted as she grabbed a hold of them and ran them back to Earth 1.

"We're back," Oliver said in disbelief as they stood in S.T.A.R. Labs. Felicity, immediately ran to him, wrapping him in her embrace.

Cisco saw all of the heroes arrive...except one...Barry.

"Y/N?" he said.

Y/N took her eyes off the ground to look at him only long enough to shake her head. Cisco ran to her and wrapped her in a hug as she began sobbing, "We're gonna find him," he whispered to her.

"Cisco...I fought with him, I said terrible things to him...I can't just leave things like that...we have to find him," she said crying.

"I might be able to do that," Felicity said rushing over to one of Cisco's computers. "I once tracked a guy buy the facial cleanser he used, I'm pretty sure I can track a speedster."

"Y/N?" Oliver asked. "A word?" he said moving towards the hall.

"Yeah," Y/N said joining him.

"Are you okay to do this, to go find Barry?" Oliver asked. He had seen how she was, and she was broken, she had lost the thing that she cared most about, the thing that she depended on, ripped away, in the blink of an eye.

"I'm fine," she replied fighting back the tears.

"Hey," Oliver said pulling her in for a hug, "I know Barry, and he wouldn't want you to cry...okay?" Oliver said rubbing her back soothingly. "Okay?" Oliver asked again pulling away.

"Oliver, being the Flash, helping people...that's the best part of me, and so is Barry. I have to do this...for him," Y/N said heading back into the Cortex.

After a few seconds, which felt like hours to Y/N, Felicity had found something.

"Got him!" she exclaimed as she sent the location to the computer in Y/N's suit. Y/N sped out of the Cortex at record speeds, the rest of the heroes following her lead.
