Thunder Storm

Sometimes a chapter needs a sister chapter ;D

His sleepy deep voice echoed through my echoed and filled me with regret. It wasn't that his voice sounded bad, it actually sounded nice just tired. I didn't want to bother him, I really didn't but I had to talk to someone, someone to help me through this and he did give me his number to call him.

There's nothing wrong with using the resources you have, right?

"Oh hey Thorin, how are you?" I cringed at the shakiness of my hoarse voice. It was full of the tears that had not yet left my tear ducts.

"Flora, what's wrong?" He sounded more awake.

"Oh nothing, I'm just making sure that you're not sneaking out or anything." I knew he wasn't because he was asleep but I had to get my mind away from the thunder. Anything but the thunder.

" I know you really don't care about me sneaking out." Thorin didn't sound very convinced with his tone. He just had to notice the breaking of my voice and the way it trembled.

Why couldn't he be as stupid as he puts off?

"Yes, I do assh-" The house shook at the angry roar of the thunderous sky, cutting off my voice. A lump formed in my throat, making it hard to swallow as my eyelids scrunched up with tight pressure.

"You there?" He said against the thunder. "Flora?"

"...Yeah, I'm here." I whispered. "Sorry."

"Are you scared?"

"Mhm."

"I'm coming over."

"Wait, please don-" Bitch hung up on me.

My short breaths were becoming more frequent, only pushing short puffs out. At least they were something to focus on besides the thunder shaking my house and the thought of Thorin sneaking into my house once again. I knew he was somehow going to try and get my green tea again or use my bed as a giant band-aid.

Slowly, I sat up on the edge of my bed. The mattress bent to the back of my thighs that pushed against it. A sinking feeling was settling on the bottom of my stomach, the feeling of weakness. I was weak and scared because of a little thunder and now I was being a nuisance to someone new.

The whole "Flora is a horrible person" thought bubble was popped by the sound of my window slowly being pushed up from the finger thick crack that was left. It squeaked when flying up quickly and held onto by Thorin's life. The monkey-like man gracefully crawled through the window, stick each leg in first then his torso. His moves were quiet but the slamming of my window was not.

"Hey." My voice was becoming more hoarse by the second. "You didn't have to come over." I said, standing up. Even the darkness, it was easy to see his broad shoulders shrug in response my remark. Sighing, I motioned to turn on the lamp next to me just so I wouldn't have to see some tall coal colored figure standing right in front of me.

"Keep it off." He said, unzipping his jacket. I could see the outline of his arms very well, almost too well like he wasn't wearing a shirt.

"Or, I could just turn it o-" My body froze once again at the thunder that boomed through.

Lightning blasted throughout my room, lighting up everything in sight, including Thorin's half naked body that was moving closer to me. His black hair began to curl at the ends from the droplets of rain he had to run through to get to me. Quickly, I was overcome with the heat from him instead of the bitterness of the wind that still remained in my room.

"It's going to be okay." He whispered, pushing me further into him. The thunder stopped once again, giving me a moment of peace. "Here." He broke our embrace by placing one hand on my shoulder and using the other to move my scrunched up blanket to the side. His hand motioned me to lay back down, facing the wall my bed was against and away from him.

I actually didn't say anything and obliged, maybe it was because it was thundering and I was terrified. The blanket was quickly thrown onto my shaking body and tucked securely around me. A pressure was applied onto my bed beside my own body. I didn't dare to look at the body next to mine and kept staring at the wall that my nose pressed against. Even as my nose was kissing the rigid dried paint, I felt as though I wasn't far away from him.

My shivering didn't stop, the thunder had stop but my body didn't. The fear still had taken over my body and it was no longer mine. My body was cold, weak and altogether not working fine. It was embarrassing being that way but I couldn't help it. Trust me, if I wasn't in that state, I would have kicked Thorin out of my bed so fast.

Even with all of the space I had left him, his body went up to mine and pulled me against him once again with one arm. I felt him share the same pillow as me, placing his face close to the back of my neck. The act somewhat slowed down my exaggerated breaths but sped my heart into overdrive with the heartburn. With one breath only had ten seconds of shaking after it like I was a Chihuahua. Thorin, on the other hand, was cool as a cucumber and remained that way.

"Thorin," I whispered, turning over and disturbing his arm. What was I expecting were his eyes to be closed but they weren't. They were semi-open, watching me like a hawk.

"Yeah?" He yawned.

"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry." My voice cracked.

"Stop apologizing and go to sleep." He said softly.

"Aren't you cold?" I blinked a couple of times, trying anything to not look into his dark gaze.

"I'm fine." He yawned. "I'll just snuggle up with you." His arm went back around me, holding me tighter. Our faces were close, really close. I tried to inch away without disturbing him but even while sleeping, his arm was too strong for me.

Let's just say I didn't get a lot of sleep that night.

************

You know that sigh you do when you wake up? One of those came out of my mouth when the light outside of my window poked at the skin of my eyelids. My nose pushed out the excess air in my body in my cool room. I laid there with my eyes closed and my head on something hard. A frown was on my face while trying to think what it was.

It was my pillow, my pillow was softer than that. It certainly wasn't the floor because Thorin wouldn't let me go. I just couldn't put my finger on it. Without thinking which is totally out of character for me but let's face it, I let some guy into my bedroom the second time, I moved my hand. It slid from its place near my face to further down of the object where it was underneath my blanket. It was warmer, and really hard in the middle of it.

I was feeling abs.

Those abs were a part of Thorin.

And I was on Thorin.

As calmly as I could, I opened my eyes and look at my surroundings. I was right about me being on Thorin. His warm flesh, his chest to be more specific was underneath my head. My hand? It was on his abdomen, his very defined abdomen.

At a snail's pace, I peeled off my part of MY blanket. The next thing on my list to get off of me was his hand. Because of my foolish mistake to even call him last night, I somehow fell asleep and got scrambled up with him. With that, my head was now not only touching Thorin but touching his bare chest. Touching wasn't my forte especially if him knowing how my body felt was on the line.

Taking my first finger and thumb, I lightly pinched his middle finger like a claw machine. Eyeing the man who had his hand on my arm, my hand raised his. My eyes rocked back and forth between his tattooed flesh that just had to be on me and his face. It was actually kind of cute how his lips were slightly ajar, his head tilted to the side and the way chest rose up slowly. He looked really peaceful.

The sheet and he were close to touching and I was about to get away free like a sneaky burglar. Normally I would have pushed him out of my bed or not even let him into my room but because of him helping me out last night, I was going to let him stay. It was the least I could do, the guy risked his life in the rain to come and comfort me.

Inches, only inches and I was going to be free and I could go and get away from him.

My body was smothered by more of Thorin the moment he rolled over and tightened his group around me with both arms. "Don't think yer gettin' away." I seized up as the Irish roll came out slightly demonic.

"Oh hey buddy...." I trailed off.

"Mornin'." His scent sent a shiver down my spine. There was a subtle hint of cologne, not too much but just enough to make an appearance. Unfortunately, the smell of nicotine also lingered on his skin. "Are you alright now?" His hot breath trickled down my neck, making it hard not to shiver like I did last night.

"Yeah, I'm good." I wasn't actually good. Now that he was up, I wanted him to get up.

"That's great." He groaned, sitting up with my blanket still wrapped up in his half naked body. "You really hand me worried last night."

"I'm sorry." I scooted my back to my wall, creating space between me and Thorin. "I know I shouldn't have called you but I was freaking out a little bit." I threw in a fake chuckle just to make it seem like I was better. I mean, I was but I was just a little uncomfortable.

"Flora, stop apologizing." He exaggerated his words. "We're friends and I'm here to help you out."

I examined him while he sat there, staring at his playing thumbs. A little flashback of the time I saw him give me a personal strip tease in the window. The guy who deiced that he was bringing sexy back was in my bed, without a shirt. I felt my eyes bulged out my head, thinking about the incident and the fact I could see more than just his silhouette in a matter of seconds.

"Okay." I gulped.

"So you're afraid of thunder?"

"Yeah, for a long time now."

"Why?" He whispered, moving his gaze from his hands to me. My mattress was pressed down by his outstretched hand sinking into it just to get closer to me.

"It's a long story." I chuckled again. "Nothing to worry about." A smile was on my lips.

"Am I going to have to kick someone's ass?" An eyebrow of his was raised.

Just my dad's.

"No, I'm fine, thanks."

Thorin sighed before getting up from my bed and onto the floor. Quickly, he loosened the blanket and threw it back to me. Faster than any hedgehog or Olympian runner, I closed my eyes to not see any more of what I've seen of the man. "If you say so." I took the sound of the zipper as a sign that he was dressed and which he was. Thankfully. "I gotta go."

"Okay."

He had one leg out of the window while the other one stabilized him on my floor. "Flora, please don't feel like you're a burden on me. Call me, text me, somehow get in contact with me if you ever need something or you just want to hang out. I'll always be free for you."

Of course, he left with his infamous wink.
