Scary Zipper

Long ass chapter warning. I'm talking around 3000 words bbs.

"Flora, are you sure you don't want to come with us to lunch?" Mom said, re-inviting to lunch on my day off. It was a random day off that was ordered by the school but I wasn't complaining. It was a cold day, sending a slight chill throughout the house. My ass didn't need to get up just to freeze.

I shook my head, causing my mom to slightly frown. "Nah, you two have fun. I think I'm just going to go read in my room."

Mom and Blaire left and I high tailed it to my room with my phone in my hand and scary stories easily accessible. I laid on my back, taking a sip of my water instead of tea to not only conserve my tea stash but also to give the whole caffeine thing a break. It was only for a day so I could lessen the tolerance and get back to working out.

I sat there, with the two mirrors diagonal from me. The hum of fan buzzed behind me in the darkness and the time had finally come. 3:01 was shown on the clock that was on my wrist. 'The witching hour' the words ran through my head.

Nervously, I chewed on my thumb at the mini story that I was reading. It was the middle of the day but I was still scared.

The sound of my beating heart was starting to take over the buzzing and my mind. Lub. Dub. Lub. Dub. It was becoming louder. As ritual said to do, I held a candle in my hands, basking in its soft glow instead of the harsh lights that my basements had. It danced to the beating of my heart, swishing back and forth.

I didn't know if this story was true but this site was supposed to be full of true stories and so, I was worried. It was easy to see that this bro was going down already and the ghosts haven't even appeared yet.

Two shadows appeared from the corner of my eyes, dancing along with the flame. It was against the rules to directly look at these shadows or the mirrors. "Hello?"

The sound of my window scraping against its old frame made me jump and nearly have a heart attack. Thorin, who had a goofy smile on his face, slid his body into my room. "Thorin!" I gasped, saying his name with my hand to my chest.

"Huh?" While getting his last leg through, the window had caught Thorin by his foot. The ground thudded by the tripping boy who was stumbling to get his balance. When the window did finally release the dummy, he landed on both feet while trying to look cool. "You didn't see that." He said, pointing at me.

I turned my face back to my phone. "Sure, whatever you say." Thorin was something that I could stare at all of the time but I needed to finish the story. I had a feeling that this guy was going to die from those mirrors because some demon jerk is going to come out of them. My eyes took in every word the person who had posted the story. Wait. If they had posted it, then it meant they lived. Right?

My eyes were on the phone but my ears were open to Thorin who went silent. "Thorin?" I stopped reading for a second. Some ghosts were talking to the guy and was starting to get good but I was starting to get curious to why Thorin wasn't speaking. In the corner of my eye, I saw my closet light was on. "What are you doing?"

"Just checkin' out ya stuff." Thorin may have been loud when entering my room but nothing was louder than the sound of boxes and other shit falling from its rightful place. I winced and tried to not think about the mess that he was making in my closet or why he was really in my closet for the matter. "Yo, Flora." He called out. "You should start wearing this."

I choked when he came with a low cut, mesh shirt that my mom had bought me with the intent of me wearing a black tank top underneath it because she thought it would be cute. Pretty sure she was on something when she bought it. "You're kidding me, it's see through." My voice was monotone.

"You could wear it just around me."

"Mhm." I went back to the story. The main character had broken the rules and looked into the mirrors. He saw himself in the mirrors and he began to experience pain. I too was experiencing something. There was a pressure on the part of the bed where my ankles were. My brows furrowed but I kept reading about how the guy was suddenly crying blood as he looked at the mirrors who had him in them but they were smiling at him.

The pressure moved. It had gone from my ankles to the side of my thighs, dipping my body lower into the mattress. I was still too busy reading to really do anything about this moving feeling. My legs slightly spread at the mass that was grazing the inside of them and before I could finish the story, my phone was removed from my hands.

Thorin had placed my phone on the stand next to me and took all of my attention. "Hey." I felt the heat rise on my cheeks in a blush. The eyes that he had given me at lunch the other days were back, forcing me to look everywhere except for his face. Which was good because I noticed a tiny bit of blood coming from the shirt underneath his jacket. "Thorin."

"Hm?" He hummed, giving my neck slight kisses.

"There's blood on your shirt." I patted on his shoulder.

It was easier to see when the body that was wearing the shirt, leaned up. There was a slight frown of confusion on Thorin's face when looking at the small circle. "Really?" He fully sat up, still in between my thighs. The white hoodie he had on slid easily off from his body and allowed me to look closely at the mark when I sat up with Thorin. It was definitely blood.

Quickly, the shirt was taken off, revealing Thorin's body. It was the first time I had actually seen it in the daytime. Of course, it was heavily tatted with ink that he must have accumulated illegally. I couldn't help but to slightly cringe at the sight of the zombie tattoo. It was mostly because it reminded me how stupid I was.

Where the circle had been, there was no blood on his actual body. I was happy that Thorin wasn't injured at that time because I didn't feel like being Nurse Flora for him. It was my day off and I was going to use it to relax. "Hm." He kept looking at the area and his shirt. "I guess some guy must have gotten his blood on me and stained it."

He noticed that I was staring at him. A small chuckle came out of him when my hand was taken by his. My poor hand was dragged along Thorin's more visible than other's, abdomen. "You know, you don't have to stare. You can touch whenever you want to."

It was a little hard to think, let alone speak when I was basically tracing Thorin's abs with my fingers. "I just wanted to make sure you weren't bleeding."

"Aw, Flora... are you worried about me?" The softness of the pillows welcomed my head back when being pressed onto them.

"Just a little bit." Well, actually a lot. One of these days someone could be stronger than him and possibly hurt him. "You're going to get extremely hurt one of these days."

"I don't think so." He whispered before kissing me. I was right when I said I missed the way he kissed me. Thorin's mouth was like the right puzzle piece for my own, fitting perfectly. His lips were soft, moving gracefully with a slight aggression.

I stopped, breaking from the kiss to take a breather and to nag him a little more. "I'm serious-" He kissed me again. "Thorin, I don't want you to get hurt." At getting those words out, my nagging was over and I went back to the girl that was being kissed. Which by the way, I did not mind.

Thorin stopped, letting me know how it felt having someone that you wanted to kiss randomly stop. "Don't you trust me?" I stared at him, giving him the 'really?' look with my eyes. It wasn't that Thorin wasn't trustworthy, it was just that he could be a little....drastic. "This calls for a trust building activity."

A groan escaped from my mouth. I didn't know what Thorin had in mind that would count as a 'trust building activity' but that didn't mean I wanted to do it. If anything, I was perfectly happy with kissing a boy who I was sort of seeing... dating? Who knew, I definitely did not.

The world around me became black by the cupping hand on my eyes. Luckily, the knuckles on the said hand had 'LOVE' on them instead of 'FIGHT'. I kind of remember which one was which when I thought Thorin was going to kill me.

His lips went back to mine. I wasn't complaining, trust me but he could have done that without covering up my eyes. While one hand was covering my eyes, the other one went to my cheek to gently caress it. They weren't the only things I felt. Thorin's tongue for a moment, played with mine until Thorin moved down to my neck.

My head turned, allowing Thorin more room to do whatever he wanted with my neck. Little cracks of light broke up the darkness of the hand, but it was still hard to exactly see what Thorin was doing when he left my neck and moved closer to my check. Through my shirt, I still felt his lips trailing down.

"Hey bud, what are you doing?" Okay, I was becoming a little more nervous when I felt the fabric on my stomach start to move upward.

"Flora, you know how this is supposed to build trust between us? I'm going to trust that you're going to keep your eyes closed. Okay?" I nodded because I needed to learn how to trust Thorin. It was one of the reasons why he and me kind of wasted a few months talking to each other on an app instead of face to face. If this activity was going to get me over this little hump that is keeping me away from getting closer to Thorin, then it was going to be something that I was going to do.

I felt his hand released but I kept my eyes clasped shut. Sounds of shuffling filled my ears, forcing me to think about what the hell that boy was doing. I didn't really feel him as I did when he was on top of me. He was still in between my legs but he was shifting and caused the bed to slightly move.

What I heard next was a zipper. A zipper that sounded like it was being pulled down. Sit ups and crunches were never my forte and I didn't really do them because they made it feel like there was an elephant standing on my stomach. But when I heard a zipper, a zipper that seemed to be pulled down, I shot up fast making it seem like I had been doing sit ups since birth.

My eyes flew open to see Thorin on his knees with his jacket on and somewhat zipped up.

"Wow, I thought you would have been good and kept your eyes closed."

"Asshole." I mumbled when he knew exactly what he did.

"Love you too, Flora." Deciding that it was becoming a little warm for me, I moved onto the swivel chair that was empty. Thorin took note of this and leaned back onto his arms into a relaxing position. "Enjoying yer day off?"

A slight snort came from me. "I was."

"I mean, we can go back to making out if you really want to." The asshole chuckled.

Though he was kidding and was in a light mood, I decided it was time to get down to business and ask him some questions. I thought me being in the chair and him on the bed created enough space for me to not get all tongue tied and ask him what I've been asking myself for days.

"Thorin?"

"Hm?"

"What are we?" He opened his mouth and I knew what he was about to say. "Don't you say something smart ass like 'people'." I pointed at him, catching him in the act. His mouth closed and left us in silence for a few moments.

"Well, what do you want us to be?" My fingers grasped at the hem of the shirt that I had on. It was subtle but the way Thorin was biting his lip made me crazy. Because of this craziness, the bottom of my shirt felt the wrath of friction.

"I don't know." I had to look away. His intense that I was given was making me crack underneath the pressure. "I just don't want to be one of those couples that make out in the hallway all of the time." It was gross and everyone knew who they were. I preferred my low profile.

"There's no need to worry so much about it, Flora." Thorin said, pressing his foot on one of the legs of the chair and pulling me closer to the bed. "If calling you my girlfriend and making out with you in the hallway makes you uncomfortable, I won't do it."

I coughed. "You can call me your girlfriend."

"Yeah?" An eyebrow of his was raised. I nodded. He patted the seat next to him. Since the temperature had dropped, I thought it would be okay to sit next to Thorin. Instantly, his hand reached around and pulled me close to his side.

"You could also call me the person who is going to kick your ass one of these days." I added. You can't just have sweetness, sometimes you gotta add a kick of spiciness in there. Plus, I didn't want Thorin to think that I was done with all the fighting. My ass still had a few more fights left.

"Pfft." He snorted. "In your dreams."

He was starting to get me riled up to the point, I was ready to fight right there. "Thorin, I can squish you like a bug." I added, letting him know exactly who was the boss in this situation.

"Bullshit." Thorin gave me a tighter squeeze.

"Are you kidding me? Give me ten seconds and you'll be flatter than a pancake."

His hands moved to his lap and proceeded to tap on it. "Sit on my lap."

I was slightly taken aback because I wasn't really thinking he would take up my offer of squishing him to death. "What?" I eyed his legs. They were long but that didn't mean they were strong.

"Sit on my lap. I'll prove it to you that you won't smother me to death." I kept eyeing his lap, thinking about what if I did sit on it. "You've sat on it before when you were pissed off your mind."

"Pissed?" I've been annoyed with him before but not pissed off.

"Drunk." He rolled his eyes.

"Oh." I stood up. Carefully, my body awkwardly lowered itself. Each leg went on each side of his body until my knees were touching the bed. My breath was held in case I breathed wrong and he would break like an eggshell.

He smirked. "See? I'm fine."

Something about the way he was looking at me, recreating the look from the cafeteria before I went to the party forced me to close my eyes and lock my lips with his again. A handful of hair was in my hand again as I grasped at the black curls. My butt was.... well supported thanks to Thorin by not only his thighs but also hands.

My legs were becoming weaker, forcing me to shift my hips while on him. The moment forced Thorin to stop and gasp. "Flora." His grip became a little tighter.

"Hm?" I hummed in between kisses.

"I.. I gotta go." He groaned.

"Why?" I stopped, looking at him. It didn't seem like I was too heavy for him. His eyes looking at mine before going down to where I was sitting. Not understanding what he meant, I stood up. He popped up and began to move. "Thorin are you okay?"

Maybe I was too heavy for him.

"Oh yeah, something just came up." He kept his back to me while looking at the bed. His moments were quick and a little jagged when reaching for the stained shirt. It instantly went to the lower part of where Thorin's abdomen was and covered where I had been previously sitting. He was about to go when he saw the light in my closet was on. "Shit." He hissed.

The shirt swayed when he lightly jogged to my closet, spending a few moments trying to find the light switch. "It's on the left." I called out. Like when I was reading the story, the noises of things falling made me wince. It was a little weird that it was taking him so long to find the light switch but when he did, he walked calmly with the same pained look on his face.

"Are you sure you're alright?" It didn't seem Thorin was okay and I was genuinely concerned.

He gave one last kiss. "Yes. Don't worry."
