Colby's perspective:

I was on my phone looking at old pictures of myself trying to remember what it feels like to be alive. I just have felt numb for the last year, that's when Sam walked in. "hey Colby" he said standing shyly in my doorway as I see his eyes flickering around my messy room filled with cups and clothes being everywhere "what" I said still focused on going through my camera roll. Sam sighed "well we're having Jake's moving-in party tonight if you don't remember and it starts in 15 minutes" he said softly. Sam was always so careful and kind around me, it's nice. "I'll be down then" I said deleting everything, every picture and video I have ever had "k Colby" Sam whispered looking down shutting my door and walking downstairs. I got up and got changed into black jeans with a chain and a plain white t-shirt throwing my leather jacket over it. I combed my hair and walked downstairs. there were only 30 people here so far and everyone I passed just gave sympathetic smiles and small waves. no one knows how to talk to me anymore, I wish people would just act normal around me but I guess it's whatever anyways. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a drink and leaned against the counter just observing the people flowing through the door. after about 30 minutes of the party, I decided not to deal with it tonight and walked to my room with a drink in my hand.

                                                                            Trista's perspective:

my door to my bedroom burst open "there's a party down the street let's go crash it" my roommate Emma said. we're not really friends cause I don't do the whole friendship thing it's too risky but we are roommates so we are acquaintances. "fine" I said standing up as she smiled and left my room. I got dressed in a tight black sparkly dress with my charm bracelet and my black heels. I left my hair down and walked out to the living room where Emma was waiting "alright let's go" she says walking out of the apartment. I followed locking the door as we got in her old run-down car. we got in and she drove down the street and pulled in front of a tan-colored mansion with a  green gate and giant pillars to either side of the door. we hopped out of the car and entered the party. "well this seems fun" I whispered to myself.
