I walked into Kian's house with a smile on my face that I haven't had in a while. He comes to the main entrance where I was standing and gave me a soft smile, but it looked kinda forced... "seems like it went well" Kian stated softly. I nodded with an excited hum making his smile grow for a second before returning back to its small form. "Oh um I'm just here to get my stuff, I'm going back to Colby's!" I said excitedly before running upstairs to go pack my stuff. As I reached the top of the stairs I hear Kian sigh but shrugged it off assuming he was just tired. After I packed my thing's I walked back downstairs and set my bags by the door and walked over to Kian who was on his phone while leaning against his wall "I will miss living with you" I said softly as I opened my arms to give Kian a hug. he smiled and hugged me passionately making me let out a small giggle. when we pulled away he stayed close, keeping his hands on my hips. Before I could process anything, he kissed me. I stood there for a moment, frozen by his touch. it was soft and not gonna lie it felt nice but when I kissed Colby it felt right and like I was at home. I pulled away finally to see Kian with a regretful but happy look on his face. "Kian you know I have Colby, why would you" I cut myself off not even sure what I was gonna say. Kian started talking making me look up at his soft pleading eyes. "I'm sorry but to be honest, you deserve better than Colby, he has put you through so much and you're still with him. you can't keep dancing with the devil and then ask why you're still in hell Trista, so let me be yours and let us be better" he said. I looked down and gave him a small smile "I'm sorry Kian but I can't, Colby is everything to me and I cant lose him. not again" I whispered. I grabbed my bag and quickly walked out the door. I just lost my best friend and now I have to find out how my boyfriend will react." 

Colby's perspective:

I sat on the balcony waiting to see Trista come back from Kian's. she really has me waiting like a needy puppy I thought making me chuckle to myself. I saw her car pull into the parking lot making my stomach get an excited feeling that I can never just correctly describe. I saw her get out of her car as my smile slowly faded seeing that she looked sad getting out of her car. I wonder why... I let it go for now and waited for her to come into the apartment. She came in as I hugged her quickly making her giggle. My smile returned as I kissed her cheek. We pulled away as she cleared her throat and looked at the floor. "I need to tell you something cole" she whispered. she never called me by my real name and my anxiety was through the roof. "you can tell me anything baby" I said trying to stay calm but I think she could hear the worry in my voice. She walked me over to the couch and had me take a seat. she told me what Kian said and that he kissed her. As she told me that part, my heart sank. maybe Kian had a point, maybe he's right. I realized I was zoned out and saying nothing to Trista. I looked her in her earthy eyes to see the worry she was feeling. I took a deep breath and placed my hand on her leg that was bouncing quickly "I'm not upset with you and thank you for telling me, but I don't want you hanging out with him just the two of you anymore" I whispered. she nodded with a smile and hugged me with a nod. I'm glad I have my happy girl back.
