I woke up the next morning to Colby not next to me. I got dressed in some black leggings and a white sweatshirt as I walked downstairs putting my hair in a bun to see Colby and his parents eating breakfast "good morning" I said kindly sitting next to Colby. he kissed me on the cheek quickly as his mom brought me a plate of pancakes "thankyou" I said kindly. she smiled and sat down "no problem." we ate breakfast and then Colby's mom said we should go shopping just the two of us which I guess its better anyways sense Colby is apparently banned from the mall. we drove there talking about little things like the weather and she told me some old childhood stories about Colby which are pretty cute. we arrived at the mall and walked in going into a few stores and around 11 we stopped at the food court. when we sit down we talk about a little more things when Colby's mom sighed "thankyou by the way" she said. i raised my eyebrow in confusion "for what" I said with a giggle. she put her head in her hand on the table and looked at me kindly. "after...sarah" she started and looked down at her food. "Colby kinda gave up on the idea of love for not only romance but for friends and family" she looked back up at me as i kept listening taking in every word she said "after they broke up he shattered and stopped calling me and his father once a month like he used to and changed his style and stopped posting and probably other things I don't know about" i nodded and then just smiled softly "well im so glad I can help" I said making Colby's mom smiled as we finished are food and went back home to Colby and his father.
