Just The Two Of Us.

"Are you okay?" He smiled.

"I am good. It's been 2 weeks since Shay's death and I'm glad they've moved me onto truck now so it's fine. I'm with you all the time and it should be good." I smiled.

"Okay hun well let's go then. We've got a call out anyway." He smiled, we all got kitted up. It was awesome. This was something I hadn't ever experienced ever properly. I slipped into my boots and trousers and I didn't have a jacket yet so I wore my blue fleece instead. I put my hat on and sat in the back of the truck shaking a bit. I was cold and nervous.

"You okay back there?" Casey smiled, turning to face me.

"Yep." I sighed. The thoughts all running through my mind and it scared me so much.

"You sure?" He smiled again.

"Matt. I'm okay." I snapped accidently. He turned back round and sighed. I looked around at everyone and there was a atmosphere. I tapped Herman on the hand and he smiled.

"What's wrong?" I whispered.

"We're concerned because now your on truck Casey's attention is focused on you not anyone else." He whispered. I felt really bad, as we pulled up I stayed back from everyone. We all got out and it turned out someone was trapped. There was no fire or anything so I took a deep breath and went over with everyone.

"I want the ariel ladders up there, we've got no paramedics at the moment so Gabby you climb up there, get him down and use the kit bag to do any first aid he needs? Okay?" Chief smiled.

"Okay." I sighed, heading back to the truck and grabbing the first aid kit before running back to everyone. They had the ariel's up already.

"Gabby and Kelly go up." Casey sighed, I chucked the bag over my shoulder and started going up the ladder. Kelly on the one next to me. I got to the top and Kelly grabbed my arm.

"Stand up." He smiled. I stood up and left the bag at my feet. I grabbed the man's legs and tried not to pass out or throw up.

"I'm Gabby. What's your name?" I smiled.

"Um Jon." He was as a pale as a sheet and was hardly awake anymore with the fright of this.

"Okay Jon. How did this happen my love?" I smiled, distracting him while Kelly worked on getting the metal separated.

"I was going to jump off their to die and my leg's got caught up in the wires and now I'm stuck between 2 metal poles."

"Okay sweet heart. I'm going to give you this ease the pain from the crush injury okay?" He nodded but before I could do anything, he passed out from the blood rushing to his head. He was hanging upside down 20ft above the ground. I had hold of his legs as Kelly sorted out the metal.

"Gabs? Your really pale are you okay?" He said sternly through his glasses.

"Kelly I feel sick, I'm going to pass out soon. I'll be okay."

"Medical conditions? Gabby?"

"No I think I might be pregnant." I sighed. Just as I said that, Kelly clearly managed to seperate the poles as Jon fell from between them. I grabbed him instantly and flung over the top of the ladder. Now Jon was on the ladder, passed out. I was holding onto his ankle hanging 30ft above a concrete floor. Kelly couldn't reach me either.

"Shit."

"Get a blow up under her right now." Chief shouted.

"Gabby, we're going to get you down." I radioed up to her. She was literally dangling. Her grip slipping every few seconds. Kelly was trying to do everything he could to reach her, even lowering himself off the ladder but he couldn't quite reach her. It was a confusion to see who was who as they both looked the same in the jackets and coats. I was trying to watch Gabby.

"There's no blow up in the truck?" Mouch shouted.

"Fuck. How do we get her down? If we move the ariel ladder or anyone gets on it, the weight is going to send him and her over the edge and there both dead. Her hand slipped away from his ankle and further down onto his foot. I had never witnessed anything so terrifying in my life. I chucked jackets, and blankets and everything under the drop zone but it wouldn't be enough.

"Casey you need to get her down right now. She's about to pass out." Kelly got out breathlessly through the radio.

"Is there no way you can reach her?"

"No. I'm too far away. The only way would be get someone on the roof, absail down the side, grab her and carry her down, I'll climb over and take Jon down the ladder?"

"Yeah okay. Chief is on his way up there now. Um keep her talking yeah? About anything just don't let her pass out because if she goes. She's hitting the ground."

"I'm trying Casey it's hard with a pre- exhausted young girl."

"Yeah...I know. I'm sorry. Shouldn't be long." Her hand was slipping off his foot even more. She was inches away from falling, her eyes were rolling into the back of her head. I was getting nervous watching her. I could see Kelly talking to her but she wasn't very responsive. It looked like Jon was waking up to because he kicked his leg around a bit making her swing forward and smack her ribs into the metal ladder and cry in pain. Kelly was leaning even further off the edge ready to risk his own life to grab her. The ladder made a awful creak noise and the hand slipped. It all happened so quickly. Her hand slipped and she let go of his leg.

"GABBY!!" I shouted.
