Light and I finished off all the food together and he offered to throw away the trash and I sat patiently at the table. Suddenly, a stranger approached me. He was wearing a uniform from school so I noticed he must go there with us. "Hi there! My name is Matsui. I noticed you ever since you moved here and started to go to school with me. We have the same Literature class together May. It's nice to actually meet you face to face!" He excitedly held his hand out to me. I chuckled nervously and shook his hand.

Light arrived and sat back in his seat with a speculating expression. He didn't seem all too pleased that Matsui was in front of us. "Oh, hi there Light!" Matsui waved at him with a bright expression. "Yeah, hi." Light mumbled with a sour expression. I decided to cut into the interaction with a laugh. "Can I help you then Matsui?" I asked him in confusion. "Of course, I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date next Saturday. It's just that, you're so pretty and there's a couple of other guys that really want to date you after seeing you around. I decided it'd be a little first come first serve type of thing, right?" He admitted with a deep blush on his face. It seemed that Light and I gasped at the same time. "Uhhhh... Oh. I'm really not sure if I'm ready to start dating so early on yknow? I just got here!" I laughed awkwardly. "Oh, I understand that completely. It's just that, well... Could you consider me at least?" Matsui asked with a hopeful expression. "Ummm okay?"

"Great, thanks so much! Bye May, bye Light!" He waved and turned in the other direction. When I looked over at Light he had his fist balled tightly on his lap and a sour expression on his face. "Uh... Light, are you ok there?" I cautiously reached over to touch his soft caramel locks. He gasped as if he broke out of a trance and smiled at me. "Yeah I'm just fine! Hey, we've still got daylight out there. Could we head back to your place or mine and watch a movie or something?" He asked me. I smiled widely and nodded. "Yeah, let's get going now so we can catch the next bus." I told him. He stood up and walked alongside me. The bus ride back was rather quiet but I suppose it was because we were both admiring the gorgeous day.

Sure enough I figured that we would watch the movie at my place due to my extensive collection of movies. So I opened the door and welcomed Light inside. He placed the treats from today on the living room table. And took a seat on the couch. "Hang on a second Light. I gotta place my picture set in my room. I'll put it right above my desk lamp!" I smiled and headed upstairs. I stamped the picture line above the desk just as I said and I headed back downstairs to see Light flicking through the channels. He looked up at me and pointed to the Tv. "One of the best horror movies is one Tv right now. It just started. Do you want to watch it?" He asked me as I hopped over the couch to sit by him. "Most definitely Yagami." I agreed with him and shut off the lights. After we were 15 minutes into the movie, Light spoke up.

"So um...That guy today? Are you going to actually consider going out with him next Saturday?" Light asked while keeping his eyes on the screen. "Huh? You're seriously thinking about that right now? I had totally forgotten about that by now. To be honest with you, I can't date someone that I know nothing about. In fact, he'd be my first boyfriend. But why are you so interested in that?" I asked him with my head turned to the side. He chuckled and looked at me. His eyes were glowing from the television light and he seemed a little nervous. "Well, you see... I was just a little curious about you. I mean, I promised your dad I'd take care of you and protect you. Besides, you're right about the dating thing. However, if anyone tries to force their idea on you then you tell me immediately."

I nodded at him and we turned our attention back to the screen. An hour later I noticed Light had his head resting back on the couch and he was slouched down. It was obvious that he had fallen asleep after our eventful day. I could even feel myself getting sleepy. I let out a soft yawn and placed my head on his shoulder. Soon enough, I had fallen asleep.

My dream was beautiful. It was Light and I walking through a park. The cherry blossom trees were in full bloom and there were petals everywhere. He looked down at me and smiled brightly and I had never felt more happy by his side. "May... May... MAY!!!"

My eyes popped open and I gasped while looking around. Light had shaken me awake! "Listen, it's like 12 in the morning. We fell asleep. I gotta get out of here before your dad gets back. Remember he said-"

"No boys after 10. Yep, I'm sure you both remember. But I also if I'm not back by then. As you can see, I'm back. You're alright for now." My dad interrupted Light as he came through the door. "Just set an alarm next time son. And be careful on your way home, it's really late and dark outside." My dad passed him up and patted his shoulder. I could tell that dad was tired so I kept quiet. I watched as he headed to his bedroom and closed the door behind him. Light looked confused but I simply laughed. "He's had a long day so he probably won't interact with either of us because he's definitely heading to bed. Cmon, I'll see you out." I told him as I grabbed the sweets.

Light walked out with me and in handed him the bag of treats. He looked up at the stars and sighed. "Thanks for today May. I really had fun with you." He looked back at me and smiled. I returned that smile and hugged him tightly. Then I watched as disappeared up the sidewalk.
