Time was on my side today as class breezed by quickly. Pretty soon I was in my next to last class. I was staring break time in the face, then psychology, and finally the end of the day. When I got in class, Light decided to text me.

Am I forgiven yet? I'll give you a kiss so intense you'll forget your name ;)

I tried hard not to laugh after reading his dumb text. I peeked at the end of the row to see him smiling at me. I rolled my eyes and turned back around to text him.

You can have the forgiveness but I damn well better get my kiss Mr. Yagami. By the way, I saw you yesterday while I was in extra for psychology. It looked like you picked something up but what was it?

I remembered how my curiosity had gotten the better of me yesterday and only hoped it was something cool like a little homeless kitten. Please be a kitten, please be a kitten.

Oh it was nothing. Anyway, we need to study today so you should head over to my place instead.

At this point I had rolled my eyes. I've been with him enough months to know when he was lying. What's the point of lying to me right now though? Was it money? Is it because he knows he's going to pay the next time we do something and he didn't want to get caught buying for me?

Tell the truth Light Yagami. What kind of fool do you take me for -_-)

I looked back at him to glare before turning back around and facing forward. Moments later, he sent me another text.

Lol, you got me. I was just going to lie to get you riled up. I love the way you look when you get angry. It gets my heart racing, but I know it stresses you out. I'm sorry May. Anyway, I just picked up an old note book. I thought it would be of some use but it was damaged so I just tossed it in the trash on the way home yesterday.

He admitted to me. "Oh." I said under my breath and shrugged. I then put my phone away because I didn't want to get into trouble for texting in class so much. However, Light sent me another text.

Don't you ignore me!!! XD

I rolled my eyes and put my phone away until class ended. Now that it's break time, we have some time to ourselves. I smiled and headed to the back of the row as Light gathered his things. A black note book dropped to the floor on it's face. I couldn't read the font in time and before I could help him pick it up, he grabbed it first. Light quickly tucked it away in his bag and laughed. "Wow, look at how clumsy I can be. Do you still love a loser like me?" He chuckled and scratched his head. I hugged him tightly and know seed his cheek. "Of course I do. Now let's go get a sandwich or two from the café while we have this break. I have a feeling that psychology will pass fast today. Afterwards, we can head to your place to study for entrance exams." I gently moved a piece of hair behind his ear. His bright eyes and warm smile always made me feel at home... It made me feel safe. Today was no different.

After a great break and a quick ending to the school day, Light and I headed to his house for the much needed study session. "Please tell me we can take a break now." I groaned and tossed my pencil in the corner of the room. Light laughed and went to retrieve it. "No way. We've only been studying for 20 minutes!" He looked at me as if I were crazy. However, he was obviously the crazy one right now. "Are you insane Yagami!? Only 20 minutes is a long damn time to study for something." I crossed my arms and glared. Light sighed and closed his books. Then he turned on the laptop and pulled out his note book. "You know what May? You're right about that. The brain only retains information for 20 minutes or so before it shuts down for a bit. Ok, take a break." He became serious as he wrote in the note book. I noticed he was scrolling through the news station's website and looking at the criminal database. Without second thought, I asked him what he was up to.

"Nothing now go lie down or else I'm gonna make us study the math part of the test next." He teased me but his face remained serious. I wanted to see so badly what he was writing down but after he finished, he put the note book in his lockable desk drawer. Almost instantly afterwards, his sister Saiyu rushed inside his room. "Light can you help me study for a test? We're doing quadratic equations in math." She sounded just as upset as I would be about it. Math just wasnt my strong suit.

"Saiyu, I'm already studying with May." Light pointed over at me and I shook my head. "Saiyu, it's ok. We have until next month before we need to worry about the test. You have what, a week? Go ahead silly girl." She smiled widely and me and gave a triumphant smirk to Light. He sighed and chuckled before pulling out the chair for her and kneeling beside it. "Ok, I guess we can get started then." He told her. Then Light taught Saiyu math as if he were an expert. Watching how smart he was made me wonder what he wanted to be in life. He could definitely be a teacher, that's for sure.

Anyhow, by the time he finished it was already 10 at night. I yawned and and outstretched my arms as he congratulated Saiyu. Just then it sounded like Mr. Yagami was home so Saiyu rushed out to meet with. Light looked at me and smiled. I returned his smile he approached me taking a seat beside me on the bed. "So May... Ahem. You ready for that kiss?" I gasped but before I could answer, he already had a hold on me. He definitely wasn't lying about how intense it was because my head was spinning afterwards. "May uhg. Someday I'm gonna slip a ring on your finger." He smiled and kissed my forehead. "Now cmon, let's get you home. You're past your curfew."

"Ok." I gripped his hand and he led me out with a smile. Mr. Yagami stopped us at the door. "Hi there May. I didn't even know you were here! How are you? Don't you want to stay for dinner?" He questioned me just like my dad does. I giggled and shook my head. "No sir. Even though I'm 19, I still have a curfew on school nights. Thanks so much though!" And with that he nodded and moved from the way. Light walked me home and kissed my forehead when we made it. "I'll see you tomorrow love."
