Now is as good a time as any. I cleared my throat and stopped walking. Light looked at me in worry. "What's wrong May, why have you stopped? Are your legs tired? Do your feet hurt? I can carry you back home if you want." He frantically worried about me. I shook my head and chuckled. "Nothing is wrong, I just had a dream like this yesterday when we fell asleep on the couch. It was equally as beautiful as the real thing and...of course you're here." I felt my face heat up and I looked away shyly. "You... dreamed about me?" Light asked quietly. I nodded and looked up at him. "You know something Light. Maybe I should go on a date with one of the guys from school." I lied with a take expression. Light gasped loudly and knitted his eyebrows together in contusion and concern. "What!?!?!? Why in the hell would you do that?! I thought you told me that you'd only date someone you really knew!" His arms flew up and he gripped his hair. I chuckled and continued my act. "It's ok Light, you don't have any o protect me anymore. I realized I was being ridiculous before. I just moved here and I don't really know anyone. How then would I be able to ever date? I need to get to know them in order to date them so I should give them a chance. Makes sense doesn't it?"

"NO IT DOESN'T!!! I mean... You can't date anyone." Light looked away from me quickly and kept his gaze down. "I just want to be with you." Light said in a quiet tone. Now was my chance! "Light, what do you mean by that?" I waited for his reply. He looked at me in that moment as if he couldn't take it anymore. "May, I want to be the only one you trust. I want to be the only one you date, and your first love. I want to be... your boyfriend. And I want you to be my girlfriend." His face became a brilliant red and his heart was beating outside of his chest. "Light, you want to be with me in all honesty?" I asked him in curiosity. He nodded, the red never leaving his face. I immediately hugged him and caused him to gasp. "I was waiting for you to admit it! I just never assumed it'd be so quickly yknow?  Anyway, I really care about you too Light. I mean, I've really grown close to you in the short period of time that I've known you. Im more than pleased to be yours." Light quickly pulled away and looked at me with widened eyes. "Are you serious May?" He asked quickly. I nodded and Light pulled me into a deep kiss. He held my chin lightly and wrapped his other arm around my back.

And since then, I knew that Light would be my first love and in turn I could be his first as well. All the way home, Light was in the brightest mood I've ever seen. And I was star struck by him. It was as if I floated with him on a cloud. At the end of the day, it nearly killed me to part with him even though he lived right up the street from me. And as soon as we parted ways, I received a text from him 5 minutes later. We ended up texting until we feel asleep on each other. Soon enough, the morning came and it ushered in a new era for our romance. As soon as it was known that we were a couple, other men backed off and some girls seemed jealous. The men who dared to approach me and ask me out anyway were quickly dealt with by Light. Soon enough I announced my relationship to dad and had to listen to his 'I was right all along' speech. I even met Light's family and chatted with them over dinner at his place. Hours turned into days and days turned into months. Before I knew it, we'd be celebrating our 2 month 5 month anniversary in a short period of time.

"Go on ahead of me will you? I've got a little extra credit to do. I kinda fell behind in Psychology and didn't tell you so you'll have to walk home without me." I chuckled nervously. "Ugh why didn't you tell me sooner. You know I'm going to force you to let me tutor you now. So now we'll have to work Psychology into our study sessions after I teach you more Japanese. I should tell your father." Light crossed his arms and closed his eyes with a smile. Immediately, I began to freak out. "No no no no, you can't do that! Please, I'll do anything!" I begged him. He turned his lips to the side and sighed. "I guess I'll go ahead and tell him unless I can get a kiss." He looked at me with a mischievous smile. I rolled my eyes and gave into his bribe. I kissed him deeply and pulled away quickly. His face was a light pink and he chuckled to himself. "You should know by know I can get any kiss I want from you." He teased me. I playfully glared and punched his shoulder. "And you can get any punch too, now get out of here loser. I'll text you when I get back home." Light nodded and kissed me once more. As he turned away, he shouted over his shoulder "don't forget that entrance exams for To-Oh university are the middle of next month so well get started studying in a day or two on top of the other stuff. I love you!" He kept walking until he was out of sight amongst the crowd. I giggled and headed back into the classroom. While I was studying up and working on the extra credit, I noticed Light from a distance outside. He bent down as if he picked something up then he walked away. However, he quickly came back and did the same motion before walking away for good.
