After two and a half months, we were back for season 3, and the Hylands were not back. I was really upset, but no one was as much as Miss Abby, and I don't mean the good way, I mean the bad way, she was having auditions to replace them. She threw away the pyramid, so we never knew who was on top, but by what she was saying and what I saw, Chloe was on top. So my prediction is simple.

This week, Kendall, Kenzie, Chloe, Maddie, and I all had solos. Kenz and I were not in the group dance, but we didn't really care that much. One thing I actually care about is that my solo this week is acro, yeah, acrobatics. I'm excited to show Miss Abby that I can do acro just like Kenzie!

•Two Days To Competition•

Nia, Kenzie, Maddie, and I were all stretching in the Dancer's Den.

"Has someone talked with Brooke or Paige?" Kenzie asks.

"I talked with Paige last night." Nia answers, "She has no idea if they're coming back."

"It's sad." Maddie comments,

"True that." I add.

We all hear Miss Abby in studio A.

"Who is she talking to?" Nia asks.

I get up and walk over the door. I slightly open it and look inside.

"There's a new girl." I whisper, "And she's doing Chloe's part in the group."

"Chloe's?" Maddie gets up and walks over to me.

To be honest, it looked like a movie, the four of us watching inside. Nia was on top, next was Maddie, next Kenzie, and finally, me.

"That's Ally." Kenzie answers, "And it looks like she just took Chloe's part away from her."

"But Chloe deserves it." I say, "I mean, she won the national title."

"Looks like Abby doesn't care." Maddie says.

"Just like always." Nia adds.

The four of us keep on watching.

"What are you doing?"

The four of us jump back and close the door. We look over to where the voice came from, Chloe and Kendall.

"Heeeeeeeeeey guys." Kenzie says as she sits down, "Whatcha doin'?"

"What were you four doing?" Chloe asks as she starts stretching.

"Nothing." Maddie answers, "Absolutely not watching Ally as she learns your part in the group." Nia nudges her in the arm, "Ow!"

"Chloe's part?" Kendall asks, equally as confused as Chloe.

I sit between Kenzie and Maddie and we all go quiet.

"Chloe, come in!" We hear Miss Abby say.

Chloe enters studio A.

"Did Abby give Chloe's part to Ally?" Kendall asks, "Please answer."

"Yes." I admit, "It's really weird."

"And Chloe's gonna be so upset." Nia adds.

We all stay quiet after that.

"Maddie!"

"Wish me luck." Maddie comments as she stands up.

"Luck." Kenzie says and we all chuckle.

Maddie leaves and everything goes silent again.

That's basically the rest of the day, except that Kenzie and I had our solos rehearsal almost at night.

•One Day To Competition•

I was stretching in studio A as Kenzie rehearsed her solo for the last couple of times. Miss Abby was talking about how she was nothing, and now she has a title, all that stuff. Who tells an 8-year-old that they're nothing?

After her solo rehearsal, I was going over mine. The end of it was a back handspring flip, and I'm still really nervous about it. Miss Abby calls all of the girls inside.

"I just told your moms this whole story, and now I'm gonna tell you real quick." Miss Abby tells us, "You are not at the level you were on last season when you won the national championship. You won a title, you won a title, Brooke won a title, and you haven't stepped on stage in how many weeks? Now you're gonna go all the way to Denver and perform. Really? I'm crazy, I think I'm crazy." She looks over to Kenzie and I, "Those solos must be absolutely perfect by tomorrow, you're dismissed for today."

The two of us run back to the Dancer's Den.

"Abby's on a bad mood." Kenzie comments as soon as she closes the door, "I told you that it would happen once you turned 6."

"I didn't take it that seriously." I tell her, "But now I think that I will."

"You should." She tells me and takes out her phone.

I take out my phone and start playing on it.

What can I say? It's a gift

•Competition Day•

This costume is one of my favorites, the hair, the makeup, every single detail.

Now, I just have to nail this solo. Even though it looks like Miss Abby doesn't really think that we're as good as we were last season.

The five of us make our way backstage, the first in was Maddie.

"Welcome to the stage Maddie, with 'Don't Leave Me'." Tha announcer says and Maddie goes on stage.

Life will turn out fine for me

"Good job, Chlo." Kenzie tells Chloe as soon as she steps off stage.

"I forgot it." Chloe says.

"Forgot it?" Maddie asks, "Where?"

"When I did the turns." Chloe answers.

"I didn't see it." Nia tells her.

"Me neither." I add.

"Number 14, this is in our elite junior open solo. This is Kendall with 'It Girl'."

She bursts out onto the scene
And she struts her stuff for the magazines
She's tall cool and sophisticated

Kenzie and I were going to perform after the group, so we were both sitting backstage.

One of her bows flew out of her hair, that starts the drama, and makes her cry.

"You were great." Maddie comforts Kenzie, "Don't cry, Kenzie, you did it!"

I walk on stage and the music starts.

This time, the ponytail literally hits me on the face, making me miss a trick.

I do the back handspring flip and I end up falling. I do a different pose than the one I was supposed to do and walk off stage. Nia was hugging Kenzie as she cried and I just didn't want to cry, but I just screwed it all up.

"You did great." Chloe hugs me.

"I did not." I pull her away, "I ruined the whole number."

"You didn't." Maddie tells me, "You were great."

Right after that, the words I didn't want to say slipped out of my mouth.

"Abby's gonna hate me." I start crying, "She wanted my solo to be perfect."

Maddie pulls me in for a hug.

"Starting off with the elite mini solo division of competition, from the jazz category." The announcer says, "Fifth place, we have act number 45, 'Princess'. Fourth place, act number 11, 'Dancing In the Rain'. In third place, act number 4, 'Genie In a Bottle'."

Everyone cheers as I go receive my award. Kenzie was announced for first place and I was really happy for her, I'm just worried for what Miss Abby might say.
