Abby Got Served

"Why are there more cars than normal today?" Maddie asks as we arrive to the studio on the car.

"What do you mean, Mads?" Mom asks and we all look outside.

"That black one." Maddie say pointing at a black car that was parked there, I didn't recognize it at all.

"Abby has been with a lot of trouble lately, maybe it is because of that..?" Kenzie says as Mom parks the car.

Suddenly someone knocks on Mom's window, it was Holly, and Mom rolls the window down.

"I think it is someone from the court." Holly says.

Oh no. Mom gets off the car and starts talking with the other Moms and we also get down. We all stand on front of the studio as Abby comes out and walks away.

"What's going on? What happened?" Mom asks following her.

We all follow Abby as she opens her car's door.

"I just had an officer of the court walk through my studio and serve me with papers in my business." Abby says.

"They want you to feel humiliated. This is to studio. This is your property. This is your business." Holly tells Abby.

"I understand that and I want to make a statement." Abby says.

"I don't know about that. It's in your best interest to say nothing." Holly says, "Look, we're here. We're supporting you. We're a part of the team."

"No, I understand that."

"Let's get in there and have them learn their dances. We have competition this weekend. Otherwise we let them win." Holly says.

"What can we do to help out children in this situation?" Jill asks.

"Just get them into class." Abby says.

I enter the studio and enter the Dancer's Den. I take off my street clothes, revealing my dancewear. I tie my hair on a ponytail and enter studio A with everyone else.

"How is everybody?"

"Not everybody's here as you can see." Jill says, referring to Kira and Kalani not being here.

"Yeah, that's true. Kalani's late. Again."

"Second week."

Then Holly suggests a punishment for being late, and blah, blah, blah. Kira and Kalani enter and soon we start with pyramid.

"Mackenzie. You were to be freaky and weird. So that the people go 'ooh and ahh' when they saw your tricks. It could have been better, weirder. Next, Maddie. You didn't have a solo this week. You were the twin with Kendall. Was it anything you couldn't handle? No. Nia. I thought you really portrayed your character in your solo as well as the group routine. Next we have, Kendall. I thought your solo was good, but could have been stronger. It was still a pretty girl with a pretty. So the highest score at that competition went to Kalani. Kalani, I'm glad you're back on the team. I don't know if everyone else is."

Everything's just silent.

"And on top, for the third week on a row, we have Melanie. You were the highest scoring soloist on the junior category, and I really liked you on the group routine, but I gotta admit that I think you could have been weirder."

Melanie

Kalani Kendall Nia

Maddie Mackenzie

"This weekend we are traveling to Detroit, Michigan."

"So we're going to Energy Dance Competition?" Mom asks and we all look at her, and Abby nods.

"You know who lives in Detroit, Michigan. Ava, and her Mom Jeanette." Jill says.

"I already know she's doing a solo. It's on Facebook." Mom adds.

"She's gonna be better, bigger, more fabulous. On this case I wished Melanie was on Ava's division so she could beat her again, unfortunately Ava's four years older and that was just an error that will probably not happen again." Abby says and looks at me, and I smile at her, "Kalani, you're doing a solo, you earned it. Maddie, you'll also be performing a solo. The two of you are going up against each other. This is the big showdown everybody's been waiting for, but if that kid, the stalker's kid gets anywhere up there, even near you guys, look out."

I thought she was joking, but she had a really serious look on her face.

"Melanie, you have a solo again this week, it is called 'Stay Away', and it is ballet."

Everyone claps and I smile, I've never had a ballet solo on the show, and in general.

"The group routine is entitled 'Stomp The Yard'. Inspired by a hot television show right now. 'Orange Is The New Black'. You will be prisioners. Acting in this dance routine is going to prepare you for auditions in Los Angeles. Three weeks until LA. Three weeks you are going to be studying, training, living, and hopefully working in LA. So, Moms, we're gonna do headshots tomorrow."

That sounds like a busy day.

One Day To Competition

"Okay, I think she should have her hair down, it will probably look better." Abby says and the makeup artists work with my hair.

We each have 15 minutes for pictures, it's been 10 with me, and we still have nothing. I was wearing a red shirt and jeans.

"Okay, smile like you just got a puppy." Abby tells me and I smile widely.

I take pictures with four completely different looks, then Kalani goes in and I stand behind Abby, but she doesn't really notice

"This one, and Melanie, and Maddie, and Mackenzie, are the ones that are going to work." Abby whispers to the photographer.

And why not Nia and Kendall?

Another thing that was happening today was that there were some groups that we're coming in to rehearse today here on Studio B, that is another reason of why we have so much less time than normal. I just go change into my dancewear again and wait to practice the group dance.

•Competition Day•

We were at the dressing room, and I was wearing my solo costuem. Mom was doing my makeup when Jeanette suddenly comes into the dressing room.

"Hey, Abby, listen. I don't want--" Jeannette tries to say but Abby interrupts her.

"You shouldn't be in here. I don't care what you want. It's not about what you want." Abby says, "I don't know who you are, but you shouldn't be in this dressing room."

"I brought her here with me." Jeannette says, referring to a woman that was with her.

"I know, but why are you in here? You own this school suddenly?" Abby asks, "You didn't ask, you didn't say 'Excuse me, Abby, could I speak to you?'"

Everyone knows she would've said no anyways. Mom starts doing my hair as they continue arguing.

"And your jacket should be longer than your shirt!" Abby tells Jeannette as she leaves the dressing room, and I can't help but laugh.

Mom sprays my hair and I go backstage.

"Now we go with entry number 20, give it up for Melanie performing 'Stay Away'." The announcer says and I go on stage.

It's so hard to be close when I feel this way
Lookin' up at the skies through a wall of gray
When you promised the stars, but all I see is rain
You're messin' up my head with every careless word
Then you come around knowing how to find a cure
But my heart can't take another Civil War

I can't take this, but I'll take that kiss
'Cause all I know is

You're so good, it's all good
Then you do me wrong
I come back, you come back
It's the same old song
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away
You're so wrong, it's all wrong
Then we make up
Try to stand, take a stand
You make it tough
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away

It's so hard to love someone like this
Caught in a blizzard, now I'm searching for a bliss
When I'm away, it's only you that I miss
Wish I could bottle all my feelings, send 'em straight to you
I'd overnight 'em, 'cause
They're long overdue
But somehow I can't find the strength to
Woah

You're so good, it's all good
Then you do me wrong
I come back, you come back
It's the same old song
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away
You're so wrong, it's all wrong
Then we make up
Try to stand, take a stand
You make it tough
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away

You're a guitar and I'm a string
Wind me up, you make me sing, but
I'm outta tune and your rhythm's all wrong
It's so obvious this can never be our song

You're so good, it's all good
Then you do me wrong
I come back, you come back
It's the same old song
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away
You're so wrong, it's all wrong
Then we make up
Try to stand, take a stand
But you make it tough
I wish we could
We, we, we could
I wish we could stay away
I wish we could
Maybe we could
I wish we could stay away

Ohhh
Yeah, yeah
Stay away

I do my final pose and everyone starts cheering and clapping as I smile, this was really good!

"First to Energy Junior Small Group. In second place, entry number 69-- 'The Challenge'. And our top scoring Energy Junior Small Group is entry number 70, 'Stomp The Yard'."

We stand up and go receive our award, then we go sit back down.

"Top five junior solos."

"You have this one in the bag." Kenzie whispers.

"I hope so." I whisper back.

"In third place is entry number 26, 'Born To Dance', Daphne. In second place is entry number 15, "Heart Of Gold', Hannah. In first place, highest scoring junior soloist is entry number 20, 'Stay Away', Melanie."

I keep on winning, winning, winning... Hahaha.

I go receive my award as everyone cheers.

With the other soloists, Kalani was fourth, Ava was third and Maddie was second.

Starting the new season I just keep on winning!
