Pharah With Memory Loss After Being Hurt in Battle

Pharah

You were scared half to death when you found out that Pharah had come back from a mission and ended up going straight to the emergency room

You were there on your way there as soon as you got the news

You had to be held back by nurses from going into that room to her

You eventually ended up asleep in one of the waiting room chairs

You were woken up by Mercy, who had a horrible look on her face

At first, you thought she'd died and almost broken down into tears until Angela calmed you and told you that Fareeha was alive and... almost well

Almost?

The medic gave you the low-down of your lover's memory loss condition and you almost burst into tears again

She'd remember you, though, right?

Angela allowed you to compose yourself again before telling you there was a chance that Fareeha didn't remember you at all; hell, she barely remembered Angela when she'd first woken up

She told you to keep calm and take it slow, then led you back into the room where your girlfriend was staying

Wait, was she still your girlfriend if she couldn't remember you?

Luckily, Pharah wasn't in nearly as bad of shape as you'd expected

A load of bandages wrapped around her head and more bandages around her torso and legs, but there seemed to be no broken bones and there wasn't blood visible through the bandages

So that was good

When she saw you, she smiled

You were almost relieved by the thought of her remembering you until you noticed the look in her eye wasn't the brazen love that was usually present

Just tired and mild interest

"Ziegler, who's your friend? They don't seem to be a nurse."

Her voice was hoarse and scratchy and completely sincere with curiosity

You almost begin crying again right there but stopped when you remembered Mercy's words to stay calm

"This is (Y/F/N). I told you about them when you first woke up. Do you remember them at all?"

You stared, shaky and teary-eyed as Fareeha's curious gaze turned into a determined scowl that looked you over multiple times before she sighed and bowed her head in defeat

"I'm sorry, I do not recall your face at all."

Angela's hand rested on your shoulder as you looked away and scrubbed your hands over your face to stop the oncoming tears

Then Fareeha spoke again: "I would like to though, please don't get me wrong."

You looked back at her when she began to move, forcing herself to sit up and face you and Angela properly

"Is there any way for me to jog my memories, Mercy? Please, this is not fair to them that I cannot remember my own loved one."

You both looked at Angela while she shuffled through her papers, searching for some sort of answer

"There is a possibility that taking you to places of significant events and recreating said events may jog your memory. The place of your first date, first kiss, the first 'I love you,' maybe."

Your face flushed at the idea of recreating such events with a person who didn't recall them, even if it was Fareeha herself

Fareeha looked like the determined ass she always was though

"When can we start?"

"After you get out of the hospital and have had a few days of rest after that. Of course, this is as much of (Y/N)'s decision as it is yours."

This caused your former memory loss-ridden girlfriend's gaze to jump back to you, staring at you with a look combining worry and sympathy and determination and curiosity all into one

"Will you allow me to get to know you, to become the person I am meant to be once again?"

You had to agree to that; she wanted to be back to herself as much as you wanted her to be

So you walked over to her bedside and held out a hand

"I'm (Y/N) and I'm your romantic partner. It's going to be my mission to make you remember to the best of your ability."

Fareeha gently took your hand lowered her head to press a kiss to the back of it before meeting your eyes again

The same thing she'd done the first time you'd introduced yourself to her

"Fareeha Amari. It will be my mission to remember and get to know you even better than before."

MISSION START!
