Kise Ryouta

You sat on your bed, crying your heart out. Your best friend, well your only friend besides Kise, had moved just yesterday. The thought of her moving was bad enough, but now that she was really gone, it was so much worse.

She was the only one you could truly talk to. You could talk to Kise, sure, but there were things you wouldn't even tell him. And you told him everything. Even though she promised to keep in touch, it still broke your heart to watch as your childhood best friend fly right out of your life.

You were trying not to make much noise so you wouldn't wake Kise. It was like this every night. You would cry once Kise fell asleep. It had always been like this. Your best friend was the only one who knew about your depression.  That's another reason you hadn't wanted her to leave.

Kise never knew you were depressed, and you never told him because you didn't want to worry him. You've had to make countless excuses as to why you can't hang out with him or do certain things with him. You would much rather hang out with him than go to group counseling, but your mom insisted.  All you really wanted was to stay home with Kise and just sleep all the time, but of course, the world isn't a wish granting place.

Hearing a moaning noise come from beside you, you instantly slapped a hand over your mouth to control your ragged breathing. "(Y/N)-chhi?" a tired voice asked. You were starting to panic inside. You didn't want to talk because you knew it would be obvious that you were crying. All you could manage were small whimpers.

You felt the bed lift then the lights came on. Oh, the blinding bright lights that reminded you of the old you when you were happy and carefree. How you yearned for that happiness again, but how it would not come. You could see Kise's figure, but it was blurred by the tears that threatened to spill out of your eyes.

"(Y/N)-chhi.. What's wrong?"

You felt Kise hug you and wipe your tears away. You tried your best not to lose it anymore in front of Kise, but your attempts failed. You held onto him, your body racking with sobs. "I-I'm sorry R-Ryouta.. I'm s-so sorry.."

He squeezed you tight while gently rocking you back and forth. It was amazing how mature he could be if needed. "What are you sorry for? You haven't done anything (Y/N)-chhi." He rubbed your back gently, resting his chin on your head.

You let out a shaky breath before looking up at him. "I'm sorry for not telling you about this. I'm sorry for being like this. The last thing you needed was an emotionally unstable girlfriend. I'm just..I'm sorry, for everything." And with that, the tears started to flow again.

You heard Kise take in a sharp breath and so you glanced up at him. He looked as if he was about to cry as well. "W-whats wrong Ryouta?" He looked down at you, stroking your face gently.

"You. You are what's wrong with me. You thought I didn't notice, (Y/N)? I did. And it hurts me to see you in so much pain. You're the best person I know (Y/N)-chhi.  I wish you would realize it."

You were speechless. You didn't know what to say after that. You just sat there in his arms with him rocking you back and forth.  You two sat like that for a while before Kise finally let go of you and laid you on the bed.  You sighed as you watched Kise turn the lights off and come back to bed.

"Whats wrong, (Y/N)-chhi?" he looked at you, worried.

You shook your head, replying to him quietly, "If you knew about me, why didn't you say anything?"

He laid down beside of you, wrapping his arms around you. "I didn't want to make you feel worse. I wanted you tell me on your own. Or at least I hoped you would tell me on your own."

You looked down, feeling a bit guilty. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you Ryouta. I just didn't want you to worry about me. You have enough stress on you between basketball and modeling and I jus-"

You were quickly cut off by Kise's lips on your own.  The kiss was quick but sweet. You just stared at Kise who had a gentle smile on his face when he pulled away.

"I'll always worry about you (Y/N)-chhi. I love you too much to not worry about you. You're the most important thing to me, do you really I think I wouldn't worry?"

You blushed a little and hugged him. "I don't know. I guess I did. It wasn't good to keep it from you though. I'm really sorry."

You looked up at him, only to see a sad looking Kise. You sighed inwardly before asking him what was wrong.

He had a dejected look on his face as he started crying fake tears. "You never said you loved me too."

You laughed quietly before kissing him on the cheek and smiling at him. "I love you too, Ryouta."
