I was watching Divergent when this came to me so yeah.

You were walking around the many underground hallways of the Dauntless compound like you always do. You weren’t exactly the most social or outgoing person in the world and you were just fine with that. Well you were, before you met him. Yes him, Aomine Daiki, one of your only friends in your entire faction.

You hear a voice, snapping you out of your thoughts.

“Hey, (Y/N)!”

And there he was. The tanned man himself, being followed by Momoi. You smiled at the two as you walked toward them.  It was true that you had feelings for Aomine, but you assumed that he was with Momoi because of her always being with him, so you simply kept it to yourself. They were your best friends after all.

“Hey guys, whats up?”

Momoi quickly pulled you into a hug and a tight one at that. “Oh, (Y/N)! We missed you so much!”

You giggled at her actions, gently hugging her back. “It was only a few days, I’m sure you guys survived.”

You then hear Aomine mumble something. “Few days felt like forever.”

You turn to look at him, breaking away from the hug. “What was that, Aomine?”

You see a faint blush appear on his cheeks as he turns away, walking down the hall. “Nothing, now come on. We’ll be late if you stand there all day.”

Yes, you were being forced to get a tattoo after losing a dare to Aomine a few days ago. You couldn’t get it that night because it was late and Aomine and Momoi were leaving the next day, so you promised to get one when they came back. So here you were about to get your first tattoo. “I..I don’t know if I want to anymore.”

Aomine turns to look at you. “Come on (Y/N), don’t be a pansycake. Besides, you lost the dare you don’t really have a choice. It doesn’t hurt too bad.  I’ll even hold your hand if you want.” He laughs a bit at the last part, your heart sinking a little, but you sucked it up. You look at his arms, both of them being covered with tattoos, then start walking towards the Pit.

“Fine. Whatever.”

*timeskipppp*

About an hour later, you and Aomine walk out of the tattoo parlor with a (dream tattoo) on your shoulder. Momoi had to leave sometime while you were getting the tattoo, leaving just you and Aomine. You were squeezing Aomine’s hand the whole time.

He looks at you and chuckles. “So how was it (Y/N)?”

You look at him and shrug, causing a look of discomfort to cloud your face momentarily. Damn, this thing was going to take some getting used to. “It wasn’t too bad. You were right.

He laughs and takes your hand in his, walking toward the Chasm. “Of course I was.”

You look a bit confused for a second, but then realize it was Aomine and no one ever knows what he is doing. “What are you doing?”

He walks over to one the railings of the Chasm and sits down, letting his feet hang off the edge. He then turns to look up at you. “Not sure, just felt like coming here. Something wrong?”

You quickly shake your head and sit beside of him. It wasn’t very often that it was just the two of you, so you were going to make the best of it. You glance over at him before returning your gaze to the water below your feet. “Hey, Aomine..”

He looks over at you, partially turning his body towards yours. “Yeah, what is it (Y/N)?”

You keep your gaze towards the water as you finally tell him how you feel after so many months. “I..I love you.”

He sits there for a moment, slightly surprised by what you said, before gently grabbing your chin and turning your head so that you were now looking at him. “I love you too, but why didn’t you confess to me earlier than now?”

A slight blush creeps onto your cheeks as you start to realize what he said. “You could tell?”

He just chuckled at you and nodded. “(Y/N), we’ve been friends since we were little and you expect me to not notice? Of course I did, but you still never answered my question.”

You look at the wall for a second before looking back at him. “Well, I just always assumed that you were with Momoi because you guys are together a lot and stuff..”

He laughs at this then pulls you in for a hug. “You really thought me and Momoi were together?”

You just shrug and nod at him. “Well, yeah.”

He shakes his head before pulling back and kissing you softly on the lips. “Me and Momoi are like brother and sister, nothing more. You’re the only one I love (Y/N).”

You smile before feeling yourself being lifted off the ground by a now standing Aomine. You let out a small squeal as you are lifted onto the mans shoulder. “Wh-what are you doing Aomine?”

He chuckles, a smirk now visible on his face. “Now that you’ve confessed your love to me, I don’t have to hold back anymore.”

You blush, but continue to let him carry you wherever it was you two were going. “I-idiot.”

It was certainly going to be a long night tonight.
