Your body shook with sobs as you held your phone to your ear, listening to the sound of Akashi's voice. "I'm sorry it has to be like this (Y/N)."

You shook your head even though you knew Akashi couldn't see you. "N-no, please. I don't w-want you to go. P-please."

You heard Akashi sigh on the other side. "(Y/N), don't cry. That's an order. Listen, it isn't the last time you will see me. I will come back for you (Y/N)."

You started to cry harder. Akashi was leaving to go to another country with his father tomorrow, so yesterday was the last time you had and would see him till a couple years.

You struggled to talk. Taking slow and deep breaths, you spoke with a raspy voice, "I-I know. I'm just...I'm going to miss you.."

You could hear Akashi's breath quicken and sniffling. You realized that he must be crying now. This shocked you because you had never heard or seen Akashi cry. "It's late, (Y/N). Y-you should go to sleep. I want you to know that I love you and I always will."

You smiled sadly, "I love you too, Seijuro. I will wait as long as I have to. Just promise me you'll come back."

Akashi chuckled sadly, "I promise (Y/N). Goodnight."

And with that, he was gone. You fell backwards onto your pillow and let all your tears out. You knew he was coming back, you kept telling yourself that, but you still kept crying harder.

Reaching blindly, you grabbed your headphones. You put them on and plugged them in. You decided to listen to See You Again by Wiz Khalifa because it reminded you of the struggle you and Akashi were going through.

Sometime during the hours of your crying and staring at the ceiling, you had fallen asleep. You had a dreamless sleep, probably the result of being so sad.

When you woke up, you decided that you were going to go see Akashi one last time before he left.

You didn't even bother to change, just pulled on your shoes and heard out towards Akashi's house. Your house wasn't too far from his so you decided to just run there.

As you were running, you felt a year slip down your cheek. You quickly wiped it away. "No (Y/N). No crying. We're going to be strong," you said to yourself.

As you come upon Akashi's house, you were really hoping he hadn't left yet. You didn't think he would have, but you didn't know.

You walked up to the gate. You pressed the little button thing and stated that you were yourself. The gates opened for you afterwards and you ran.

You ran up to the door, knocking on it quite loudly. It was one of Akashi's butlers that answered the door. "Hello.. Oh Hello, Miss. (Y/N). Are you looking for Master Seijuro?"

You nodded, anxious to see Akashi. The butler nodded, motioning for you to come in. "He and his father are about to board the private jet. Would you like to speak to Master Seijuro before he does so?"

You nodded again, looking up at the butler with your best puppy eyes. "Yes. Do you think that would be possible?"

The butler cleared his throat before leading you down a series of hallways while speaking. "I do not see why it would be a problem. Right this way."

He pushed open a door for you, revealing a room you had never seen. "Master Seijuro should be in here."

"Thank you so much." You waved at the butler before running towards a blob of red which you assumed was Akashi.

You ran up to him, grabbing him and pulling him into a hug as you did so. Akashi wasn't surprised that you had come to see him off, but he was still pleased none the less.

"(Y/N), you didn't have to come you know." Akashi looked down at you, holding your face in his soft hands. His eyes glistened with tears as he looked at you.

You smiled sadly, trying to contain your own tears. "Thought you could leave with out saying goodbye?"

Akashi shook his head, smiling at you, "It's never goodbye (Y/N)."

You laid your head on his shoulder, letting your tears flow peacefully. "Whether it's down the street or across the globe, we'll always be together."
Lifting you up from his shoulder, he planted a soft, but loving, kiss on your lips.

"Seijuro, it's time to go."

You pulled away from Akashi, letting him go to the plane. You watched as he walked up the stairs and onto the plane that was going to take him thousands of miles from you.

You slowly turned around, walking towards the door to go home. You were still sad, but the fact that you got to see him one last time made it better.

You replayed his words in your head. "It's never goodbye."
